Chapter 838: Thousand-Year Spirit Milk and Black Sparrow

He had inherited his father's art and had sought guidance on spirit manipulation techniques from Wang Qingling, who had given him many sound suggestions.

"It's getting late, I'm done playing with you all," Wang Xiansheng muttered to himself. He made a hand seal, and his three crimson flying swords dispersed, transforming into hundreds of palm-sized Golden-Spotted Flame Worms, which swarmed towards the hundreds of black bees.

In less than fifteen minutes, all the black bees were completely annihilated by the Golden-Spotted Flame Worms.

Wang Xiansheng retrieved the Golden-Spotted Flame Worms, stored the beehive in his storage pearl, and then released a giant green tiger, about ten feet tall, with a pair of enormous green wings on its back.

He released a detection orb and infused it with an incantation. The orb glowed brightly and flew towards the sky. He leaped onto the back of the giant green tiger, gently stroked its head, and the giant green tiger let out a roar, spread its wings, and chased after the detection orb.

On a vast, boundless prairie, four Wang family cultivators stood together. They jointly held up a thick green light barrier as hundreds of green demonic wolves surrounded them completely. The ground was riddled with potholes, and not far away lay a mangled corpse. Luck is also part of one's strength. One clansman had bad luck, encountering hundreds of demonic wolves; he was outnumbered and unfortunately died at the wolves' hands.

"Let's finish this quickly; don't waste time," the leading middle-aged man said, summoning three shimmering green flying swords and unleashing them on the green demonic wolves. These wolves were all first-tier demonic wolves. Individually, they weren't strong, but they had the advantage of sheer numbers. Unfortunately for them, they encountered four sword cultivators.

A series of clear sword hums echoed as over a dozen flying swords charged through the wolf pack. Wherever the flying swords passed, demonic wolves fell to the ground one by one, their bodies severed into multiple pieces. The grassland was stained blood-red.

"Awooo!" A chorus of wolf howls erupted. The green demonic wolves opened their mouths one after another and spat out streams of green wind blades. Dense green wind blades shot towards them from all directions.

The four of them simultaneously formed their sword incantation hand seals. The sound of swords ringing grew loud as multicolored sword qi flew from their flying swords, meeting the green wind blades.

"Form the Minor Four Symbols Sword Formation!" the leading middle-aged man shouted loudly, making a sword incantation hand seal. Soon after, over a dozen flying swords surrounded the hundreds of green demonic wolves. A vast expanse of sword qi swept forth from the flying swords, slicing towards the green demonic wolves.

A series of tragic cries rang out, and green demonic wolves fell to the ground one by one. None were spared.

"So many demonic wolf corpses, we're rich!"

"This is just a small haul. Let's skin the first-tier high-grade demonic wolves and leave the rest. It's a shame about our fifteenth brother; he had such bad luck running into hundreds of demonic wolves. I wonder why he didn't crush a second-tier talisman to escape."

They collected the belongings from the deceased clansman and checked the contents of his storage pearl. They were surprised to find that all his escape talismans were used up. It seemed this clansman had encountered a powerful demonic beast before his death, possibly a second-tier one.

A huge roar suddenly echoed from a hidden cave. The ground shook violently as a small mound of earth rose from the ground and moved rapidly. With a clear cry, a giant red vulture flew out of the cave. Judging by its aura, it was clearly a second-tier demonic bird, equivalent to a Foundation Establishment cultivator.

The red vulture flapped its wings, chasing the moving mound. It furiously flapped its wings, releasing dozens of fist-sized crimson fireballs, which rained down on the mound.

Rumble! Rolling flames engulfed the mound, and the mound ceased to move.

After a moment, the flames dissipated, leaving a massive crater several zhang wide in the ground. Hot vapor rose from the pit, but nothing else remained. Seeing this, the red vulture flapped its wings and flew back into the cave.

A mound once again swelled from the ground, quickly moving towards a nearby bamboo forest. Before long, the mound stopped, and a giant yellow pangolin burrowed out from underground. A crack suddenly appeared on the pangolin's belly and split open, and two men in their thirties emerged from within. One of them was tall and had a shrewd expression.

Wang Xianfen, one of the Five Sons of Green Lotus, specialized in automaton and puppet techniques. He was a descendant of Wang Changhao.

"I didn't expect there to be a second-tier demonic bird here. I wonder how the other clansmen are doing. We need to quickly rendezvous with them, otherwise, if we encounter another second-tier demonic bird, we might not be able to escape," Wang Xianfen muttered to himself, a look of lingering fear on his face.

Just then, a huge rumbling sound came from high in the sky. The two men looked up at the sky, where streaks of green spiritual light appeared. Over a dozen of these lights successively burst open, transforming into a giant green lotus. According to their agreement, if important treasures were discovered, they could use special markers to summon clansmen.

"A clansman has found an important treasure! We need to meet up with them quickly," Wang Xianfen said excitedly. The two men re-entered the pangolin puppet beast. The pangolin puppet beast curled into a ball and rolled forward rapidly, moving at high speed.

Outside a narrow mountain valley, Wang Jiyun stood, looking somewhat agitated. Beside her stood a man and a woman, both appearing extremely excited.

"Thousand-Year Spirit Milk! I can't believe this place has Thousand-Year Spirit Milk. Unfortunately, there are three second-tier Black Sparrows, and we can't handle them with just our strength."

"No hurry. Auntie has already sent the Green Lotus Arrow, I believe clansmen will arrive soon."

A short while later, a rumbling sound came from the ground. A giant yellow sphere rolled in from the distance, moving at incredible speed. Soon after, the yellow sphere stopped and transformed into a giant pangolin. A small door appeared on its belly, and Wang Youfen and his companion emerged.

"Seventh Uncle-Grandmaster, Ninth Uncle-Grandmaster, you've arrived! Is it just the two of you?" Wang Jiyun asked with a smile. She was younger than Wang Youfen, but they were two generations apart.

"Just the two of us. We don't know where the other clansmen are, or how big this secret realm is. The detection orb hasn't reacted at all. If you hadn't sent the Green Lotus Arrow, we wouldn't have been able to rendezvous with you! What kind of treasure did you find? And you had to use the Green Lotus Arrow for it?" Wang Youfen asked curiously. Given Wang Jiyun's strength, even if she encountered a second-tier demonic beast, she wouldn't necessarily need to call for help from clansmen, unless the demonic beast was exceptionally powerful.

"Thousand-Year Spirit Milk. But there are three second-tier Black Sparrows, and we can't eliminate them with our current strength alone. So we had to send the Green Lotus Arrow to ask for your help," Wang Jiyun explained, her expression grave. Black Sparrows possess a trace of Fire Phoenix bloodline, making them quite formidable spirit birds. She hadn't expected to encounter three of them here.

"What? Black Sparrows? Coming to this secret realm was absolutely the right decision this time! I'm in need of a spirit bird!" A hearty voice suddenly rang out as a giant green tiger charged rapidly towards them. Wang Xiansheng sat on the back of the Wind-Chasing Tiger, his expression excited.

He had spirit insects and spirit beasts; all he lacked was a spirit bird. Ordinary spirit birds wouldn't catch his eye. After all, he wasn't a rogue cultivator. He was the sole heir for five generations, and his ancestors had left him a vast amount of merit points and wealth. This was why he had the financial means to raise spirit beasts, spirit birds, and spirit insects. Otherwise, most people would be content just maintaining their own cultivation. How could they afford to be as lavish as him, raising spirit beasts, spirit insects, and spirit birds?
