Chapter 458: Enemies Meeting Each Other Sparks Special Hatred

The Class 3 demonic bird naturally wouldn't let Wang Changhao go. It gently flapped its four wings, turning into a white streak that flew directly towards Wang Changhao. At its escape speed, it wouldn't take long to catch up.

Just then, a large swath of golden light shot out, accurately enveloping the Class 3 demonic bird.

The Class 3 demonic bird felt its body tighten, rendering it instantly immobile.

The next moment, a hint of disdain flashed in its eyes. It let out an angry roar, white light pulsed around its body, and the golden light shattered.

By this time, Wang Changhao had already vanished into the horizon.

The golden lotus mirror in Wang Qingshan's hand shattered. He inwardly cursed, knowing trouble was at hand, as the Class 3 demonic bird was already charging towards him.

"One Hundred Swords United!" With Wang Qingshan's low cry, countless streaks of green light appeared out of thin air before him, transforming into a hundred green flying swords. Their bodies shimmered with green light, emitting an astonishing sword intent.

A loud whooshing sound erupted as the hundred green flying swords vied with each other to strike the Class 3 demonic bird.

Wang Qingshan swallowed a blue pill, and his pale face quickly regained its color. With a flick of his sleeve, a large swath of green sword energy swept out, forming a hazy green sword light that carried him away at an incredibly fast speed.

The Class 3 demonic bird felt the astonishing sword intent emanating from the green flying swords. It dared not face them directly. With a furious flap of its four wings, a large white hurricane swept forth, surging towards its opponent.

The hundred green flying swords collided with the white hurricane, instantly erupting in a tremendous roar, with rolling air currents.

"Roar!" The Class 3 demonic bird let out an angry roar, spread its four wings, and turned into a white streak, pursuing Wang Qingshan.

Wang Qingshan glanced back at the Class 3 demonic bird behind him, his expression frantic.

He formed another hand seal. Countless streaks of green light appeared out of thin air, transforming into a hundred green flying swords, overwhelming the Class 3 demonic bird with their attack.

The Class 3 demonic bird once again unleashed a white hurricane, shredding the green flying swords to pieces.

Seizing this opportunity, Wang Qingshan formed a sword seal. The sword light beneath his feet accelerated, flying towards the dense forest below, with the white demonic bird in close pursuit.

On the other side, a patch of open ground suddenly lit up with a silver glow, revealing Wang Ruyan's figure.

While Wang Qingshan was distracting the Class 3 demonic bird, Wang Ruyan quickly rushed towards a distant cave.

She still had two Fire Escape Talismans, so even if the Class 3 demonic bird returned, she could crush them to escape.

The cave was damp and gloomy. After walking a dozen steps, a biting chill assailed her.

Wang Ruyan conjured a protective barrier around herself, which made her feel somewhat better.

The cave twisted and turned, and the stone walls on both sides were uneven.

Less than fifteen minutes later, a stone cavern several hundred feet wide appeared before Wang Ruyan.

In the lower-left corner of the cavern, there was a pond several tens of feet wide. The edges of the pond were frozen, and stone tables and chairs were scattered on the ground, indicating someone had clearly lived there.

The stone walls near the pond were also frozen, emitting an intense chill.

Above the pond hung a large expanse of white stalactites, with occasional drops of blue liquid falling into the water below.

The pond was empty, without a single spiritual herb.

Wang Ruyan's willow-like brows furrowed slightly. She glanced at the water in the pond and, without hesitation, summoned a blue gourd. It instantly expanded dozens of times in size, flying to hover above the pond.

"Collect!" Her incantation changed. She struck the blue gourd with a spell. Countless spiritual runes lit up on the gourd's surface, spewing out a large swath of blue light, which enveloped the pond water. A large amount of the blue pond water was swept into the blue gourd by the blue light.

The chilling aura emanating from the stone cavern was caused by the water in the pond. Ordinary water wouldn't be this cold. It was either Heavenly and Earthly Spiritual Water, or there was a treasure or an ice-attribute spiritual vein beneath the pond.

There wasn't much water in the pond. Before long, the pond was drained. All the pond water was collected by the blue gourd, and its surface became covered in ice.

Wang Ruyan formed another hand seal. The blue gourd returned to its original size and flew back into her sleeve, disappearing from view.

She quickly left, retracing her steps.

By a rapid stream, countless streaks of blue light suddenly illuminated the bank, revealing Wang Qingshan's figure.

Wang Qingshan's clothes were tattered, with some leaves clinging to them. His face was pale, and he appeared somewhat disheveled.

"I finally shook off that beast," Wang Qingshan muttered to himself. "I wonder how Ninth Aunt and Eighteenth Uncle are doing." He swallowed a blue pill and released the Three-Headed Fox to guard him.

He sat down cross-legged and began to meditate and regulate his breathing.

Roughly fifteen minutes later, Wang Qingshan stood up, his pale face having regained its healthy glow.

"Whine! Whine!" The Three-Headed Fox lay on the ground, looking as if it were trying to curry favor with Wang Qingshan.

"You're quite daring, aren't you? To actually lead us to a Class 3 demonic bird's nest," Wang Qingshan said in a chiding tone. "I wonder if Eighteenth Uncle is alright."

The Three-Headed Fox lowered its head, letting out whining sounds from its mouth, as if complaining of its grievances.

"Never mind, I can't blame you. You can't speak, after all," Wang Qingshan muttered to himself. "With Class 3 demonic beasts in the ruins, it seems we can't just run around carelessly anymore. If we encounter another Class 3 demonic beast, we might not be able to escape again." He then put the Three-Headed Fox back into his spirit beast pouch.

Just then, a tremendous roar echoed.

Wang Qingshan's expression shifted slightly. His eyes darted around, and he headed towards the source of the sound.

Roughly fifteen minutes later, Wang Qingshan appeared in a dense forest. Several tens of feet away, there was a black cave entrance, several feet wide, from which the roaring sound emanated.

Suddenly, Wang Qingshan's brows furrowed. He turned his head and looked upwards, only to see Wang Ruyan descending from high above.

"Ninth Aunt, what are you doing here?" Wang Qingshan's face lit up with joy as he asked via spiritual transmission.

"I was following Eighteenth Brother's escape route when I suddenly heard a tremendous roar," Wang Ruyan replied via spiritual transmission. "I guessed it might be Eighteenth Brother, so I came to check it out. Qingshan, are you alright?" She put away her flying artifact and suppressed her spiritual power fluctuations.

Wang Qingshan shook his head and transmitted, "It shouldn't be Eighteenth Uncle. There's no trace of blood on the ground. I just scanned with my divine sense. There were several spiritual practitioner auras in the cave, but now only two remain. They should be disciples from other sects."

The ruins were quite large. Without special secret talismans, they might not find Wang Changhao even if they searched everywhere. Wang Changhao had lost an arm, so he would likely find a hidden place to hide and heal his injuries.

"Qingshan, what do you mean?"

"Let's observe the situation first," Wang Qingshan said. "If they are disciples of the Hundred Beast Sect, show no mercy. If they are from other sects, then let it be."

Seven years ago, several members of the Wang family had died at the hands of Hundred Beast Sect disciples, and Wang Qingshan harbored deep hatred for them. Disciples from the Hundred Beast Sect had also entered the ruins this time.

Speaking of which, Wang Qingshan had not yet encountered any Hundred Beast Sect disciples.

Wang Ruyan understood clearly, nodded, and concealed her aura.

After a while, the roaring stopped, and silence returned.

Wang Qingshan and Wang Ruyan each slapped a silver talisman onto themselves. Their figures blurred, and they vanished from sight.

Roughly seven to eight minutes later, a silver-robed youth walked out of the cave. It was Su Yihang.

Su Yihang's face was slightly pale, and his silver robe was stained with a good deal of blood.

Su Yihang seemed not to notice Wang Qingshan and Wang Ruyan. He slowly walked towards their hidden position.

With a flash of silver light, Wang Qingshan reappeared, his gaze fixed on Su Yihang, his eyes filled with murderous intent. Enemies meeting each other were bound to be enraged. Su Yihang was now alone, and Wang Qingshan naturally wouldn't miss this opportunity. He intended to kill Su Yihang to avenge his deceased clansmen.
