The Desolate Immortal Realm, Jade Moon Sea.
In a cerulean stretch of the sea, dozens of cultivators were engaged in battle. From their appearance, it was clear one group was human, and the other was composed of beast-folk. Both sides possessed the cultivation of Golden Immortals.
"Retreat quickly! I'll hold them off," a thin, blue-robed elder shouted. He slapped his right hand towards the void, causing the seawater to churn and surge, conjuring colossal waves that surged directly towards the beast-folk.
"Hmph, a mere mantis trying to stop a chariot!" scoffed a muscular, golden-robed man with a tiger's head and a human body, a look of disdain on his face. He opened his mouth and let out a deafening tiger's roar, sending a golden sound wave sweeping forth to meet the incoming attack.
Upon hearing the tiger's roar, the human cultivators grew dizzy, various sounds echoing in their ears, and expressions of pain contorted their faces.
The Law of Sound!
The golden sound wave, powerful and sweeping, effortlessly shattered the towering waves and continued its advance directly towards the human cultivators. The blue-robed elder's right hand flared with brilliant white light. He slashed towards the void, unleashing a massive white sword-light that swept forth, colliding with the golden sound wave and neutralizing both attacks.
"Finish them quickly! Kill them!" the golden-robed man commanded.
Just then, a streak of yellow light flew from a distance, stopping with a flicker to reveal a yellow-robed man with a simple, honest face, round cheeks, small eyes, and a fair, plump physique—it was Wang Tunian.
"A Grand Unity Golden Immortal!" The golden-robed man gasped, his expression growing tense. The blue-robed elder and the others were startled, exchanging bewildered glances.
"Are you disciples of the Du family from Five Dragon Island?" Wang Tunian asked, looking at the blue-robed elder with a gentle expression.
"Indeed, Senior. Do you know us?" the blue-robed elder replied cautiously.
"My master wishes to discuss something with your patriarch. Let me help you deal with these fellows first!" After speaking, Wang Tunian turned his gaze to the golden-robed man and the other beast-folk cultivators.
The golden-robed man and the other beast-folk cultivators' faces paled. They transformed into streaks of escaping light, scattering in completely different directions.
A brilliant yellow light emanated from Wang Tunian's body, and a powerful gravitational force materialized out of thin air. The beast-folk cultivators uncontrollably plummeted towards the sea surface, and even the surrounding space began to twist and deform. He opened his mouth and expelled a stream of yellow mist that enveloped the beast-folk cultivators, drew them into his mouth, and swallowed them whole, leaving not a single one to escape.
The blue-robed elder and the human cultivators gulped, their faces filled with awe.
"This junior is Du Haiyang. May I ask who your master is, Senior?" the blue-robed elder inquired cautiously.
"My master has arrived." Wang Tunian gazed towards the distant horizon.
A streak of green light appeared on the distant horizon, halting with a flash to reveal a colossal ship enveloped in a continuous glow of green light. On its deck stood an ordinary-looking young man in a blue shirt and a voluptuous young woman in a blue dress—they were Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan. They had altered their appearances, so even Xuan Xin and Liang Zhongxin wouldn't recognize them.
"Young friend Du, please lead the way!" Wang Tunian instructed.
Du Haiyang agreed and led the way. Simultaneously, he retrieved his Immortal Transmission Mirror to contact his clan elders and report the situation. Wang Changsheng did not object, allowing Du Haiyang to contact the Du family elders.
In less than an hour, they stopped before a vast island. It was home to numerous cultivators and buildings. A streak of red light emerged from the island, pausing with a flicker to reveal a graceful young woman in a red dress.
"I am Du Yanhong. My sincere thanks to both fellow Daoists for your assistance. May I know your names?" the young woman in red introduced herself, asking politely.
"My surname is Song, and my wife's surname is Wang. We have long heard of the illustrious Du family and specifically came to pay our respects," Wang Changsheng stated. Each time they changed their appearance, both their faces and their surnames would differ.
"Ah, so it's fellow Daoist Song and Lady Wang. Please come and rest at Jade Moon City. Our Du family would be honored to extend our hospitality," Du Yanhong gestured for them to enter, speaking warmly.
Wang Changsheng put away the colossal green ship, then entered the city with Wang Ruyan and Wang Tunian. There were many pedestrians on the streets, and as Wang Changsheng and his three companions passed, people respectfully moved aside.
Less than fifteen minutes later, Du Yanhong led Wang Changsheng and his two companions to a sprawling estate adorned with exotic flowers, unusual rocks, and elegant pavilions.
"Fellow Daoist Song, Lady Wang, please rest well. Should you require anything at all, do not hesitate to ask," Du Yanhong stated.
"Lady Du, I do indeed have a matter I hope you can assist with," Wang Changsheng replied.
"What is it?" Du Yanhong asked.
"We've heard that your Du family possesses Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals, and we are willing to purchase them at a high price," Wang Changsheng explained the purpose of their visit.
Activating the Nine Star Falling Immortal Array allows Mahayana cultivators to descend to the lower realms, but it only guarantees a landing within the East Profound Continent Realm Cluster. The specific realm, however, remains uncertain. With Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals, one can precisely target a particular realm. This means that if something were to happen to their clansmen in the lower realms, the Wang family could send reinforcements directly to the Profound Yang Realm. Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals come in two pieces, which can sense each other's location. By arraying them in both the upper and lower realms, one can directly pinpoint a lower realm's location, allowing clansmen to descend directly to the Profound Yang Realm. This material is typically used to refine high-level positioning immortal artifacts for treasure hunting; it is rarely employed for sending individuals to the lower realms. The Wang family had been trying to acquire this material for a long time but without success. Xuan Xin, however, had met the Du family patriarch, Du Hongfei, at a gathering, where Du Hongfei had exchanged for several Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals.
"Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals! Hmph, they certainly have quite an appetite." Du Yanhong frowned and pondered for a moment before saying, "This matter is of great significance. How about this: you two fellow Daoists rest for now, and I will consult with our patriarch."
"Very well, Lady Du. We appreciate your trouble," Wang Changsheng agreed.
Du Yanhong nodded, then turned and departed.
Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan walked into a green stone pavilion and took seats, while Wang Tunian retrieved tea leaves and a tea set to brew tea.
"If only we could find another piece of Black Agate Jade Dragon Stone," Wang Changsheng murmured to himself. He had consulted Qing Xuan regarding the origins of the Black Agate Jade Dragon Stone. It was an exceptionally precious material used in the refinement of supreme immortal artifacts. High-grade immortal artifacts, when refined with a sufficient amount of Black Agate Jade Dragon Stone, could be upgraded to supreme immortal artifacts. Black Agate Jade Dragon Stone forms naturally; it occurs when magma from volcanic eruptions cools on agate rock, evolving over millions, even tens of millions, of years. This lengthy process contributes to its extreme rarity. As a material that forms spontaneously and is extremely rare, the Black Agate Jade Dragon Stone is far more precious than any Fourth-tier Immortal Ore that can be mined.
"The beast-folk are currently at war with the Du family. We might be able to leverage this situation to acquire the Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals," Wang Ruyan remarked. She explained that refining Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals into a positioning immortal artifact would allow them to easily locate companions during treasure hunts, and they could also be used to set up arrays for precisely sending individuals to the lower realms.
"Let's hope so," Wang Changsheng replied.
In a secluded part of the estate, a tall, slender elder in a green robe sat in a green stone pavilion, while Du Yanhong reported to him.
"Qiankun Dingyuan Divine Crystals! Hmph, they certainly have quite an appetite," the green-robed elder remarked with a frown.
