"Ancestor Tianyan was worried about being wiped out by the Wang family, so she dispersed the clan members. We were preparing to gather some wealth to hire a Golden Immortal from the Yama Palace to curse Xu Tianlei to death."

"Kill Xu Tianlei? What grudge do you have against him?" Wang Chuanming pressed.

"We heard he possesses a mid-grade immortal artifact that has been refined with a Primordial Spirit Treasure. We only learned of this by chance, but we weren't confident we could kill him ourselves, which is why we decided to hire the Yama Palace to act."
