Chapter 4171: Entering Qiankun Ruins (None Today)

"What's the use of a crowd? It's not a numbers game," Lin Bing sneered.

Du Xuan's face was filled with murderous intent. "You escaped last time, and now you dare to enter the Qiankun Ruin? It seems you're tired of living."

Lin Bing calmly replied, "Is that so? So many years have passed. Let's see who has made greater progress." His voice was not loud, but all the cultivators present heard him clearly.

"The people from Chahar have arrived," Hu said.

In the distance, dark figures appeared on the horizon, swiftly approaching. Soon after, the figures stopped, revealing over a dozen Chaos Beasts, with Gu among them.

Hu sneered, "I thought Fu would come, but they only sent you. Your Chahar tribe is getting worse; you don't even have an immortal ship." The Barghut tribe and the Chahar tribe had a fierce fight over the Primordial Spirit Treasure in Meteor Immortal Valley last time, with both sides accusing the other of taking it.

"I'm enough for such a small matter. Is your Barghut tribe short-handed? No wonder they sent you," Gu retorted, showing no respect to Hu.

"Enough talk. Let's see who can seize the greatest opportunity," Hu declared, leaping to the ground, followed by the other Chaos Beasts.

Lin Bing jumped to the ground and put away his golden flying boat. Hu rushed towards the Qiankun Ruin, and Lin Bing followed. Nangong Yueshan and others entered the Qiankun Ruin one after another. Both sides temporarily maintained restraint and did not engage in a large-scale fight.

After entering the Qiankun Ruin, Wang Changsheng and the other Golden Immortal cultivators dispersed and acted independently. Wang Changsheng and five companions walked down a wide, clean street. Most of the buildings on both sides had collapsed, and cobwebs were visible, indicating they had been derelict for a long time. The Qiankun Ruin was larger than Tianji City and inhabited by many Chaos Beasts, including those at the Grand Unity Golden Immortal stage.

On the way here, Cao Mingguang had already informed them that Golden Immortal cultivators should operate in the outer areas and avoid the core region, where Grand Unity Golden Immortal Chaos Beasts roamed. The restrictions there were more powerful, capable of even killing Grand Unity Golden Immortal Chaos Beasts. The spiritual sense here was significantly restricted; Wang Changsheng's spiritual sense could extend tens of thousands of li, but anything further was unclear. Wang Changsheng released Wang Tunian and instructed him to search for immortal medicines. Wang Tunian's eyes glowed with a dazzling yellow light as he looked into the distance.

"To the northwest, there's a spiritual medicine garden with a Seven-Colored Chaos Beast and a Purple Pear Immortal Fruit tree. The Purple Pear Immortal Fruits are ripe, and the Seven-Colored Chaos Beast just ate two," Wang Tunian reported.

Wang Changsheng nodded, and the group headed northwest. After about the time it takes to brew a cup of tea, they arrived at the foot of a steep peak. The mountain had sparse vegetation and appeared quite desolate.

"There's a spatial restriction; we need to go around it," Wang Ruyan said, a red eye glowing between her brows—her True Eye of Lihuo.

"Taking the left path is shorter, but we'll encounter a few Chaos Beasts. The right path is longer, and there are also Chaos Beasts," Wang Tunian explained.

"Then let's take the left path," Wang Changsheng decided, and the group walked towards the bamboo forest on the left.

Many bamboo leaves were scattered on the ground, and they moved at a moderate pace. Deep within the bamboo forest, Wang Changsheng's right index finger glowed with golden light. He lightly tapped a spot on the ground. A sound of air tearing echoed as a blue arc of light shot out, accurately striking the ground. With a rumbling roar, the ground exploded, revealing a large pit. Wang Changsheng stomped his right foot forcefully on the ground, causing it to crack open. A five-colored Chaos Beast, resembling a lizard, flew out from underground. It had a bloodied hole in its head and was lifeless. This was a mutated five-colored Chaos Beast at the Golden Immortal stage, hidden underground, which Wang Changsheng had discovered. Wang Qingfeng collected the Chaos Beast's corpse, which could be used to refine Immortal-Slaying Arrows.

They continued forward, encountering many Chaos Beasts along the way, the strongest being six-colored, but none were a match for them. The tricky part was the restrictions; Wang Changsheng and the others dared not be careless and spent a considerable amount of time avoiding them.

Two days later, they arrived at the foot of another steep peak. A hundred-zhang-tall cyan stone tablet stood there, inscribed with the three golden characters: "Golden Ganoderma Peak." At the summit was a vast manor, mostly collapsed. There were several large pits on the mountainside, seemingly left by past battles.

"I'll go lure it down! Yingjie, you go pick the Purple Pear Immortal Fruits," Wang Qingling suggested. She reasoned that if they fought in the spiritual medicine garden, the combat fluctuations might destroy the Purple Pear Immortal Fruit tree. Wang Changsheng nodded, approving the plan.

Wang Yingjie's body glowed with yellow light as he burrowed underground. Wang Qingling released Wang Que, who had already advanced to the Golden Immortal stage. Wang Que merged with Wang Qingling, and a pair of crimson bird wings sprouted from Wang Qingling's back. With a gentle flap, Wang Qingling flew towards the mountain summit. Soon after, a loud roar echoed, and a massive crimson fireball shot into the sky. Wang Qingling flew down from the summit at high speed, pursued by a seven-colored Chaos Beast resembling a giant dog.

"Ninth Uncle, it's a mutated Chaos Beast," Wang Qingling called out.

No sooner had she spoken than the seven-colored Chaos Beast opened its massive maw, a golden light surging within. A thick golden beam shot out, heading straight for Wang Qingling. Wang Qingling reacted quickly; a gentle flap of her crimson bird wings allowed her to evade the golden beam. The beam struck the ground, blasting a large pit that showed signs of melting. The seven-colored Chaos Beast slammed its right paw onto the ground, and a powerful gravitational force emerged from thin air. Wang Qingling's speed slowed, and her body fell uncontrollably towards the ground. Three ear-piercing sounds of air tearing rang out, as three arcs of light shot forth, instantly arriving before the seven-colored Chaos Beast.

The seven-colored Chaos Beast tried to evade, but a five-colored halo shot out from underground, sweeping past its body. It became immobilized, as if frozen in place. Soon, a blinding seven-colored spiritual light burst from its body, and it quickly regained its freedom. The three arcs of light also struck its body, producing three muffled thuds. Where the blue arc struck, a finger-thick bloody scratch appeared.

"You seek death!" the seven-colored Chaos Beast roared in fury, its loud bellow quickly spreading.

From a distance, a sharp, piercing shriek was heard. A seven-colored Chaos Beast resembling a bat flew in from afar. Before it even got close, it opened its mouth and spat out a cyan sound wave, aimed directly at Wang Changsheng and the others. Upon hearing the sound, Wang Qingfeng's ears buzzed with an unbearable stinging pain.

Another mutated seven-colored Chaos Beast! Wang Changsheng frowned. Were there so many mutated Chaos Beasts here?

"Master, another seven-colored Chaos Beast is heading this way. Retreat quickly," Wang Tunian urged. While defeating one mutated seven-colored Chaos Beast was not an issue, two would be tricky. If there were three mutated seven-colored Chaos Beasts, escaping intact would be a challenge.

"Qingfeng, Qingling, Qingxiao, you retreat first. We'll cover you."
