Chapter 4108: Opening the Seven Rainbow Cavern Heaven

Immortal Exterminator Cannons are all mid-grade; there are no high-grade ones. The difficulty in refining high-grade Immortal Exterminator Cannons is relatively high, and it is not easy to possess one.

The golden dragon boat landed outside Sky鳴 City. As the city gates swung open, Fu Shuo quickly emerged, bowed respectfully, and said, "Senior Cao, Patriarch Fu Sen has been waiting for a long time. Please follow me."

Cao Mingjing put away the golden dragon boat, and the group followed Fu Shuo into Sky鳴 City. The streets were wide and clean, lined with shops, and bustling with people. Many Golden Immortal cultivators could be seen.

The Sky鳴 Clan dispatched personnel to settle Cao Yuanxing and the others. Cao Mingjing, accompanied by Fu Shuo, arrived at a magnificent palace whose plaque bore three large golden characters: "Sky鳴 Hall." Cao Mingjing strode inside. A ruddy-faced old man in a green robe sat on the main seat, smiling. A refined-looking scholar in white and a sweet-faced young woman in a white dress sat separately on either side. Judging by their auras, both were Grand Unity Golden Immortals.

"Fellow Daoist Cao, you've finally arrived," the green-robed elder said with a chuckle. Fu Sen, a mid-stage Grand Unity Golden Immortal, was from the Sky鳴 Clan.

"Brother Mingjing, long time no see," the white-robed scholar greeted with a smile. Yang Junyou, an early-stage Grand Unity Golden Immortal, was from the Yang family of Jade Sword Island.

Cao Mingjing nodded, his gaze falling on the young woman in the white dress. He said in surprise, "It's been many years, Madam Zhou has advanced to the mid-stage! Congratulations!"

"Just by chance," the young woman replied with a smile, "I thought Fairy Cao would be leading the team this time!" Zhou Xuefu, a mid-stage Grand Unity Golden Immortal, was from Nine Yuan Palace.

"Mingxue has matters to attend to and couldn't leave, so I'm leading the team myself," Cao Mingjing asked curiously. "By the way, haven't the fellow Daoists from Five Immortals Sect arrived yet?"

"They arrived long ago, just waiting for you," a pleasant female voice rang out. As soon as the words fell, Fairy Streamfire strode in. Although Five Immortals Sect and the Cao family were rivals, overtly, they maintained amicable relations.

"Fairy Xu has recovered?" Cao Mingjing said with a smile. "I thought Fellow Daoist Lin would be leading the team." Many cultivators had witnessed Fairy Streamfire being severely wounded while attempting to pass through the trials of the Dao artifact Qiankun Pagoda when it appeared in the Crimson Sun Sea Region.

"Just a minor injury; I've been fine for a while. Such a small matter doesn't require bothering Senior Brother Lin," Fairy Streamfire said with an indifferent tone. Five Immortals Sect had suffered relatively minor losses, and they had allied with the Sky鳴 Clan to seize the Cao family's territory, while the Cao family had allied with the Yang family.

"It's good that Fairy Xu is fine," Cao Mingjing chuckled, "I thought you'd need millions of years to recover!"

"Fellow Daoist Cao, Fairy Xu, please sit down and chat!" Fu Sen gestured for them to sit. A servant in a green shirt entered, carrying two cups of spiritual tea, placed them down, and then withdrew. The five of them began to chat idly, discussing the Great Immortal Calamity.

"The scale of this Great Immortal Calamity is not small," Fu Sen said with a hint of relief, "but compared to the calamity before the last one, it's smaller in scope, only costing us some Golden Immortal cultivators."

"This can't go on like this; we can't just passively take hits," Cao Mingjing said. "Fellow Daoist Fu, all five of our families have cultivated a batch of True Spirits. If we join forces, there's a lot we can accomplish."

"Fellow Daoist Cao makes it sound simple," Fairy Streamfire said with a frown. "The situations of our respective families are different. The number of True Spirits varies, and their strength also differs. Who will command? How will resources be allocated? How will losses be shared?" Teaming up against Chaos Beasts is a good thing. Winning battles is fine, but if they lose, no one wants to bear more of the losses. To put it plainly, their strengths aren't vastly different, so no one truly submits to another, and everyone wants to gain more benefits. Unless the Nangong Immortal Clan issues an order, they simply cannot cooperate sincerely. People's hearts are hidden, and everyone has their own hidden agendas.

"Our strength is too weak; it's better to focus on peaceful development," Yang Junyou said. "If we cultivate into peak True Spirits, then we could lead expeditions against Chaos Beasts, but if the conflict escalates, it will be hard to contain." They could unite to deal with Chaos Beasts, but if the Chaos Beasts retaliated, they couldn't withstand it. Other forces might not offer assistance, adhering to the principle of "sweep your own doorstep" and "better a dead fellow Daoist than a dead me." It's not that they weren't united, but when it came to interests and losses, it was hard to be truly unified. With not much difference in strength, why should one listen to another?

"If we had Golden Lotus Immortal Fruits, Ten Directions Immortal Spirit Pills, or other heavenly treasures to assist us, it might be easier for us to cultivate into peak True Spirits," Fairy Streamfire sighed. "However, there aren't many items that can assist Immortals in cultivating into peak True Spirits; they are all rare, especially the Golden Lotus Immortal Fruit, whose growth cycle is too long."

"There's no use talking more about these matters," Fu Sen said. "Fellow Daoist Cao just arrived, so rest for a night, and tomorrow we'll open the Seven Rainbow Grotto-Heaven."

Cao Mingjing and the other four had no objections and agreed. After chatting for a while, they returned to rest.

Early the next morning, they returned to Sky鳴 Hall. Wang Qingshan and over a hundred other Golden Immortal cultivators stood neatly lined up at the entrance of Sky鳴 Hall. They each sent people to investigate the cultivation levels of Wang Qingshan and the others, to prevent any late-stage Golden Immortal cultivators from sneaking in.

"Patriarch Fu Sen, we have investigated, and there are no issues," Fu Shuo reported.

"Fellow Daoist Cao, Fellow Daoist Yang, Fairy Xu, Madam Zhou, let's open the entrance and let the juniors go in," Fu Sen said. Cao Mingjing and the other four nodded. Each took out a colorful spherical bead; judging by their immortal qi fluctuations, they were clearly mid-grade immortal artifacts. The five of them gently flicked their wrists, and the colorful beads in their hands flew out one after another. After rising high into the sky, they converged, emitting a large expanse of colorful light. The void rippled and tore open, revealing a colorful light door.

"Fifteen people per group, enter in batches," Fu Sen said. Wang Qingshan and the others flew into the colorful light door in batches. For fairness, each of the five families sent three people each time, making a group of fifteen. This ensured that people from all five families could enter the Seven Rainbow Grotto-Heaven simultaneously.

Wang Yingjie, Murong Tianya, Luo Xuan, and fifteen others flew into the colorful light door. After a slight dizzying sensation, Wang Yingjie found himself in a vast and boundless volcanic region. The temperature was frighteningly high, and the air was filled with the smell of sulfur. As soon as he appeared, two five-colored Chaos Beasts, resembling fiery crows, pounced towards him. Judging by their aura, these were Golden Immortal-stage Chaos Beasts. Wang Yingjie dared not be careless. He quickly formed a hand seal, and a five-colored halo emanated from his body, spreading outwards. The two five-colored Chaos Beasts touched the five-colored halo and immediately stopped in mid-air, as if frozen. Soon, a five-colored spiritual light brightened on their bodies, and they regained their freedom. By this time, Wang Yingjie had already submerged into the ground and made his escape. With the Five Elements Spirit-Fixing Restricted Light combined with the Five Elements Heaven-Evasion Art, Wang Yingjie's escape was quite convenient.

A loud bang echoed from a hidden underground cave. A sharp golden sword light swept out, splitting the underground cave in two. Wang Qingshan flew out of it, his expression calm. In his hand, he held a piece of green beast hide. This was a map that Cao Yuanxing had distributed to them. After so many years, the map's reliability was questionable, and it could only serve as a reference. He put away the map and flew towards the southwest.
