Chapter 4098: 4079 Wumufang City

Wanmu Island, also known as Star-Moon Island, is located in the southwest of the Wanmu Sea. It boasts dense vegetation, including a large number of Star-Moon Immortal Trees, and is under the jurisdiction of the Star-Moon Immortal Palace.

The Star-Moon Immortal Palace is one of the seven major powers in the Nine Star Immortal Realm. With a profound heritage spanning over a hundred million years and boasting several Grand Luo Golden Immortals, it drew numerous immortals to Wanmu Immortal City as the auction approached, making the city exceptionally lively.

A long blue rainbow appeared in the distant sky, flashing before coming to a halt. It revealed a flying boat shimmering with blue light, on the deck of which stood Wang Changsheng and five companions.

"We've finally arrived," Wang Changsheng exclaimed. "Is this Wanmu Immortal City? There are so many Star-Moon Immortal Trees!"

Following his gaze, one could see numerous silvery-white Star-Moon Immortal Trees, each emitting a soft silver light. These trees are used in array formations to assist immortals in cultivation, and the Star-Moon Immortal Palace's territory is extensively cultivated with them.

A vast number of Star-Moon Immortal Trees encircled a massive city covering a wide area. Above the city's entrance hung a square, gold-lacquered plaque bearing three large silver characters, "Wanmu Immortal City," which shimmered with spiritual light.

In terms of area, Wanmu Island was ten thousand times larger than Qinglian Island; indeed, it was more like a continent. Wang Changsheng executed a hand seal, and the blue flying boat rapidly shrunk, disappearing into his sleeve.

They flew towards Wanmu Immortal City, landed at its gate, and strode inside.

Upon entering Wanmu Immortal City, they were greeted by wide, clean streets lined with numerous buildings and bustling with people.

Most buildings, constructed from Star-Moon Immortal Wood, shimmered brightly. Many Golden Immortal cultivators were visible, their diverse appearances indicating their origins from various races.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, Madam Wang, we have some matters to attend to," Ximen Zhi said. "We'll contact you later."

Ximen Zhi bid them farewell, and the three brothers headed towards a bustling street.

Yang Gan also departed. They had merely teamed up temporarily, and upon reaching the city, they were naturally free to act independently. Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan walked around, browsing the city.

Immortal artifact shops were ubiquitous. Though the shops were not large, their shelves displayed many immortal artifacts, including even mid-grade ones.

Two hours later, they arrived at the entrance of a nine-story black pavilion, above which three large golden characters spelled out "Ghost Spirit Pavilion."

They walked inside. The spacious and brightly lit hall displayed a vast array of Yin-attribute materials on its shelves, including immortal medicines, immortal woods, immortal waters, and Yin Pearls.

A shrewd-looking elder in a golden robe quickly approached them, enthusiastically saying, "Welcome, esteemed seniors, to our humble establishment. How may I be of service?"

"We wish to purchase some high-grade Yin Pearls," Wang Changsheng instructed. "Take us to your manager."

Wang Changsheng had already inquired and knew that Ghost Spirit Pavilion sold Yin Pearls, which would be perfect for Wang Chan and Wang Can. The golden-robed elder acknowledged and led the way.

Arriving on the seventh floor, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan met a refined-looking young man in a black robe. Judging by his aura, he possessed the cultivation of an early-stage Golden Immortal. A Golden Immortal cultivator serving as a manager highlighted the significant strength of Ghost Spirit Pavilion.

"Uncle Liu," the golden-robed elder said, "these two esteemed seniors wish to purchase high-grade Yin Pearls."

The black-robed youth waved his hand, dismissing the golden-robed elder.

"My name is Liu Mei," the black-robed youth introduced himself. "These are the prices for Yin Pearls from ghost entities of different cultivation levels. Please take your time to review them, fellow Daoist." He then took out a black spiritual disc and handed it to Wang Changsheng.

As soon as they sat down, a golden-robed attendant brought two cups of spiritual tea. He placed the tea down and withdrew. The tea was black and showed no sign of warmth, unlike freshly brewed spiritual tea.

"This is Ghost Spirit Tea!" Liu Mei introduced. "It tastes quite good."

Wang Changsheng took a sip; it tasted sweet. As the tea entered his stomach, it felt like falling into a cold pond, but the icy sensation quickly dissipated. His divine sense increased slightly, though negligibly.

His finger glided across the black spiritual disc, checking the prices.

Yin Pearls from Golden Immortal level ghost entities required settlement with Chaos Beast crystal cores. The highest-grade Yin Pearls, from early-stage Golden Immortal ghost entities, were quite expensive. Fortunately, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan had acquired many Chaos Beast crystal cores during their current journey.

"We still have many Yin Pearls from True Immortal level ghost entities," Liu Mei said, "but only a little over twenty left from Golden Immortal level ones."

"We'll take all the Yin Pearls from Golden Immortal level ghost entities," Wang Changsheng declared.

"All of them?" Liu Mei reminded him. "That's not a small sum. Fellow Daoist, please be aware that settlement requires Chaos Beast crystal cores."

"We can certainly afford that amount of crystal cores," Wang Changsheng replied.

Wang Changsheng explained that with over twenty Yin Pearls from Golden Immortal level ghost entities, Wang Chan and Wang Can would have a greater chance of opening their thirty-six immortal apertures. Liu Mei's face lit up with joy, and he said, "Please wait a moment, fellow Daoists."

He took out a golden shimmering spiritual disc, cast a spell, and made some gestures.

"Manager Liu, if you don't mind me asking," Wang Ruyan said curiously, "where do you obtain so many Yin Pearls from ghost entities?"

"We slay them in Yinming Valley," Liu Mei explained.

"Yinming Valley?" Wang Ruyan asked skeptically. "Is there such a place in the Nine Star Immortal Realm?"

"Yinming Valley is on the Chaos Continent," Liu Mei explained. "Strictly speaking, it's a grotto-heaven containing many Chaos Beasts and ghost entities, even Golden Immortal level ones. We regularly send people in to eliminate them."

Wang Ruyan suddenly understood and nodded.

"By the way, Manager Liu," Wang Changsheng asked, "I heard that a second-tier immortal elixir for prolonging life will be auctioned this time?"

Golden Immortal cultivators only have a lifespan of ten million years. If they cannot advance to Grand Unity Golden Immortal, they will eventually pass away. Thus, elixirs that prolong life become very necessary.

He had previously acquired several Nine-Colored Peaches at auction; one such peach could extend a lifespan by a hundred thousand years. However, the growth cycle of Nine-Colored Peaches was exceptionally long.

"Fellow Daoist, you must be referring to the Nine-Colored Elixir!" Liu Mei exclaimed. "It's refined from Nine-Colored Peaches and mutated six-colored Chaos Beast crystal cores. One elixir can extend a lifespan by two hundred thousand years without any limitations. Simply consuming Nine-Colored Peaches alone doesn't yield such good effects. This time, the Star-Moon Immortal Palace is auctioning several bottles of Nine-Colored Elixir, and many fellow Daoists have come specifically for this immortal elixir."

Liu Mei then recalled something and added, "Besides the Nine-Colored Elixir, there are many other valuable items, such as the Golden Lotus Immortal Fruit. Many Grand Unity Golden Immortals have also arrived, likely for this particular item."

Wang Changsheng nodded, asked a few questions, and Liu Mei answered them one by one.

After a while, the golden-robed elder came up, holding a golden storage bracelet, which he handed to Liu Mei. Liu Mei then handed it to Wang Changsheng. Wang Changsheng swept his divine sense over it, paid with Chaos Beast crystal cores, and then he and Wang Ruyan departed.

After leaving Ghost Spirit Pavilion, they walked along the street. As they passed a fork in the road, Wang Ruyan tugged on Wang Changsheng's sleeve.

Wang Changsheng followed Wang Ruyan's gaze and saw two men and one woman. Leading them was a burly elder in a golden robe. His eyes, though not angry, exuded an inherent majesty, and his fair complexion gave off a powerful sense of oppression.

A full-figured young woman in a purple dress and a tall, slender elder in a yellow robe followed beside the golden-robed elder. All three were Golden Immortal cultivators. "Murong Yilong! Du Yan, Murong Yilei!"

Wang Changsheng recognized the trio: they were high-ranking members of the Murong family from the Tianchen Sea Domain, with Murong Yilong being the family's old ancestor. All three, including Murong Yilong, were late-stage Golden Immortals. While Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan had seen their portraits, it was unlikely the trio had ever seen Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan. Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan walked towards them; Murong Yilong did not notice them, and they passed each other.

After about the time it takes to steep a cup of tea, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan appeared in a vast bluestone plaza filled with many small stalls. "I recall they haven't appeared for many years," Wang Changsheng remarked. "They probably went out traveling early and don't recognize us."

"Perhaps!" Wang Ruyan replied. "Important matters come first; other things can wait."

Wang Ruyan noted that they didn't know much about Murong Yilong and his companions, and engaging them rashly would carry significant risks. Wang Changsheng nodded, said nothing, and continued browsing.

They circled the plaza and acquired some Hunyuan Stones. It wasn't enough to refine a mid-grade Chaos Armor, but it would suffice for several low-grade Chaos Armors.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, Madam Wang, what a coincidence!" a loud male voice rang out.

Wang Changsheng looked towards the source of the voice and saw Taishi Qi and Luo Yuyan.
