Yang Chunqiu's expression was uneasy; the deeper he ventured into the Hulan Mountain Range, the more nervous he became. Fortunately, Wang Qingshan was primarily searching for the so-called "great opportunity" and had not engaged with the Chaos Beasts, so for now, they were still quite safe.
"What exactly is this 'great opportunity'?" Ye Haitang asked, her face full of confusion. "Even if it's an immortal medicine or fruit that aids True Immortal cultivators in breaking through to the Golden Immortal stage, True Immortal cultivators wouldn't be able to acquire it, would they?"
According to Wang Qiulin's explanation, every cultivator has their own opportunities, though their scale and location vary. An opportunity might be by the roadside or even at one's doorstep, simply unnoticed by the cultivator. Diviners, through their deductions, can foresee a cultivator's opportunities within a specific timeframe. If a cultivator diligently seeks out such an opportunity, there's a certain probability of finding it. Whether they can ultimately obtain it, however, depends on two factors: their efficiency in acting and their personal strength.
Perhaps you haven't yet found your own opportunity, and someone else finds it first – then it becomes theirs. Some individuals may locate an opportunity but are unable to obtain it due to their limited strength. For True Immortal cultivators, the concept of a "great opportunity" is too vast. They don't even know what it entails, so they can only wander aimlessly, searching by the clumsiest means. The lairs of Chaos Beast tribes are rich in cultivation resources. However, True Immortal cultivators wouldn't even dare to provoke the outer tribes, so how could they possibly obtain any opportunities from such places?
"I don't know," Wang Qingshan replied, his face filled with curiosity. "This is the first time Qiulin has divined a 'great opportunity,' and I'm very eager to find out what it truly is."
"Senior Wang," Yang Chunqiu said cautiously, his expression tense, "we are already deep within the Hulan Mountain Range. If we accidentally disturb a Golden Immortal-stage Chaos Beast, it will be very difficult for us to escape. How about we return first and let Fellow Daoist Wang slowly deduce the approximate location of the opportunity before we come back?"
"Let's search for a bit longer," Wang Qingshan replied. "If we truly can't find it, we'll return first and then formulate another plan." If it weren't for this great opportunity, he would not have wanted to come to the Hulan Mountain Range; disturbing the Chaos Beasts would be quite troublesome.
Emerging from the underground cave, they found themselves before a vast green bamboo forest that stretched as far as the eye could see. They headed towards it, with Wang Yingjie leading the way, using an immortal artifact to scout their surroundings. More than half an hour later, they still hadn't emerged from the bamboo forest when a deafening roar echoed. The expressions of Wang Yingjie and the other three sobered, and they halted. The golden orb in his hand emitted a dazzling golden light. He frowned and said, "There are other cultivators here, their cultivation unknown. They have alerted the Chaos Beasts." Immediately afterwards, a series of sky-shattering roars erupted, one after another.
"This is bad!" Wang Yingjie exclaimed, his expression tense. "The Chaos Beasts are sending out an alarm, and large numbers of them are rushing towards this location. We need to find somewhere to hide!" A bright yellow light emanated from his body, enveloping the four of them as they burrowed into the ground. Most Chaos Beasts have not mastered the power of laws, so as long as they refrained from using their divine sense to scout, ordinary Chaos Beasts would find it difficult to detect them. Ten thousand feet beneath the ground, a thick yellow light barrier enveloped Wang Qingshan and his companions.
A powerful pressure assailed them from all directions, causing the yellow light barrier to twist and deform, as if on the verge of shattering. "This is bad!" Wang Yingjie cried out. "It's a six-colored mutated Chaos Beast!" No sooner had he spoken than the surrounding earth began to churn, and two giant yellow hands materialized out of thin air, slamming towards the yellow light barrier.
On the surface, a beast-humanoid, six-colored Chaos Beast stood in an open area. A dazzling yellow light erupted from its right foot as it stomped fiercely on the ground, causing the earth to shake violently. Numerous cracks appeared on the ground, spreading continuously. Soon after, the ground burst open, sending up clouds of smoke and dust. A large swath of crimson flames then shot out from underground, heading directly for the six-colored Chaos Beast. The six-colored Chaos Beast showed no fear. A dazzling yellow light erupted from its right fist as it slammed into the flames. With a muffled thud, it shattered the crimson flames, though a portion of the crimson flames still enveloped its body. A dazzling six-colored spiritual light then erupted from the six-colored Chaos Beast's body, causing the fierce flames to dissipate, leaving it completely unharmed. A sharp blue sword light then shot over, striking the six-colored Chaos Beast with a muffled thud, yet leaving not a single trace. With a flash of blue light, a blue-glowing talisman appeared directly above the six-colored Chaos Beast's head. It was a second-tier Immortal Talisman, the Azure Lotus Soul Annihilation Talisman. Before the six-colored Chaos Beast could evade, the Azure Lotus Soul Annihilation Talisman exploded, transforming into a dazzling blue light that enveloped its body. A low growl emanated from within.
As the blue light dissipated, the six-colored Chaos Beast's figure reappeared. It had no physical wounds, but its divine soul had suffered damage. "You seek death!" The six-colored Chaos Beast spoke, about to pursue Wang Qingshan and his companions. A series of successive beast roars then rang out, seemingly conveying some kind of signal. The six-colored Chaos Beast let out a loud roar and rushed in another direction, completely ignoring Wang Qingshan and his companions, as if something important was located there.
Large numbers of Chaos Beasts were mobilized, rushing from all directions. Flying Chaos Beasts soared overhead at great speed. Deep underground, a yellow light barrier enveloped Wang Qingshan and his companions as they rapidly moved through the earth. More than half an hour later, the yellow light barrier seemed to collide with an impenetrable barrier, preventing them from moving forward.
"What's going on?!" Wang Qingshan asked, frowning.
"It seems to be a restriction!" Wang Yingjie replied.
Ye Haitang took out a small, silver-glowing mirror. As she infused it with immortal power, the mirror surface immediately brightened, emitting a stream of silver light that struck the stone wall ahead. A faint yellow glow rippled there, so subtle that it would have been completely undetectable without careful observation.
"It really is a restriction!" Wang Yingjie exclaimed in surprise. "Could this be the opportunity we're looking for?" They had been searching everywhere for opportunities without success, and now, while fleeing from a mutated six-colored Chaos Beast, they had unexpectedly stumbled upon a restriction.
"If we had listened to Young Friend Yang," Ye Haitang remarked, "we might have discovered this restriction much earlier." Yang Chunqiu had consistently wanted to leave, but they had not agreed. If they had agreed earlier, perhaps they would have discovered this restriction sooner.
"Are there any Chaos Beasts nearby?" Wang Qingshan asked. "If not, let's try to break this restriction."
The golden orb in Wang Yingjie's hand glowed brightly. He let out a sigh of relief and reported, "They've all rushed to a certain location. I'm not sure if they're pursuing that individual, but this spot is quite secluded, making it ideal for breaking the restriction."
A bright yellow light emanated from his body, causing the surrounding earth to recede and reveal a space several hundred zhang wide. Ye Haitang then took out formation flags and a formation disc to set up an array, reinforcing the newly formed space. All four of them then simultaneously unleashed their immortal artifacts, attacking the earth before them. With a series of rumbling sounds, the earth before them was engulfed by dazzling spiritual light, and an earthen-yellow light barrier gradually appeared.
Wang Qingshan flicked his sleeve, and a long sword radiating red light shot forth. He cast a spell, causing the red sword to tremble slightly and erupt with a surge of crimson flames. Simultaneously, roaring flames ignited within the space, and the temperature rapidly rose. "Burning Heaven, Boiling Seas!" he declared, then commanded, "Go!" Wang Qingshan lightly pointed a finger, and the red flying sword transformed into a crimson long rainbow, speeding directly towards the earthen-yellow light barrier. With a loud bang, the yellow light barrier shattered like a bubble. Immediately afterwards, the ground began to shake violently, like an earthquake.
As a squad of flying Chaos Beasts passed overhead, the ground shook violently, and an enormous yellow light shot skyward, striking one of the Chaos Beasts. The ground burst open, and Wang Qingshan and his companions flew out from underground. They stood at the foot of a steep cliff, their expressions varied.
"An ancient tomb!"
