Chapter 3867: True Immortal Late Stage

A hundred thousand years had passed.

The Tianchen Sea, Bailu Archipelago.

The sky was clear and the sea breeze was gentle. A procession of azure peacocks flew high overhead, each carrying an immortal cultivator. All cultivators wore robes adorned with a blue lotus pattern on their sleeves, led by a curvaceous young woman in a purple dress.

After the last major war, the Wang family had significantly expanded its territory. Recognizing the shortage of True Immortal cultivators, Wang Yongqian promptly increased efforts to train Mahayana cultivators, leading to a substantial rise in their numbers within the family.

A deafening dragon roar echoed from the distant horizon, clearly audible to all cultivators.

A shimmering silver light appeared on the distant horizon. Soon, it halted, revealing an enormous silver flood dragon, its body enveloped in countless silver electrical arcs.

Four silver-robed young men, identical in appearance, stood proudly atop the silver flood dragon's head. All of them were True Immortal cultivators.

"It's Ancestor Changxian."

The young woman in the purple dress recognized the identities of the four silver-robed youths.

The four silver-robed youths were siblings, descendants of Wang Zonglang: Wang Changxian, Wang Changzong, Wang Changrong, and Wang Changzu.

They were all blade cultivators and emerging talents within the Wang family.

The young woman in the purple dress and her companions quickly moved aside as the silver flood dragon, swaying its tail, flew towards Qinglian Island.

"Ancestor Changxian and the others must be back for the family competition! I heard this one is different; besides a substantial reward of cultivation resources, the top ten will have the chance to meet our Ancestor."

As the young woman in the purple dress finished speaking, her face filled with longing.

After years of development, the Wang family now boasted over a million cultivators, nearly a hundred of whom were True Immortals. Most family members, however, had only seen Wang Changsheng's portrait and never met him in person.

Meeting Wang Changsheng in person was considered a great honor.

"My great-great-grandfather said that our Ancestor hasn't appeared for over a hundred thousand years. He'll likely be in the late True Immortal stage when he reappears."

A family member said excitedly.

"That's very likely. Our family has been established for so many years, so it wouldn't be surprising for our Ancestor to have advanced to the late True Immortal stage. With the successive destruction of the Heavenly Beast Sect and the Changyuan Clan, our family acquired vast cultivation resources and has seen a constant emergence of brilliant talents."

"Our Ancestor is a true spirit. If he cultivates to the late True Immortal stage, he could probably slay a True Immortal-stage four-colored chaos beast with a single punch!"

The family members chattered excitedly, all expressing their admiration for Wang Changsheng and hoping for his cultivation to greatly advance.

"Alright, let's continue our patrol!"

The young woman in the purple dress waved her hand, leading the team to continue their patrol.

The silver flood dragon flew onto Qinglian Island and hovered over a sprawling estate. Just as Wang Changxian prepared to send a sound transmission, Wang Yongqian's voice resonated: "Alright, dispense with the formalities; come in!"

The silver flood dragon's body lit up with dazzling silver lightning, transforming into a burly silver-robed man.

The five of them flew down into the estate. Wang Yongqian was seated in a blue stone pavilion, her aura indicating she was already in the middle True Immortal stage.

She had been in the True Immortal stage for over a hundred thousand years, a cultivation pace not considered particularly fast.

"Greetings, Family Head."

Wang Changxian and the other four bowed respectfully.

"You're here for the family competition, aren't you? Just you? Where are the other family members?" Wang Yongqian asked.

After Wang Changsheng refined six pieces of Chaos Armor, he went into seclusion for cultivation.

After advancing to the True Immortal stage, Wang Changxian and the others were transferred to the Chaos Continent and have only just returned. "Ancestor Mengbin and Ancestor Yingjie have also returned," Wang Changxian explained, "but they are currently acquiring cultivation resources at Jiuxian Market, so we came back ahead of them."

Wang Changxian said.

The family operated on a rotation system: cultivators from the Tianchen Sea who reached the True Immortal stage were transferred to the Chaos Continent for a period of duty before returning. Similarly, cultivators from Haoyang City, upon reaching the True Immortal stage, would serve a rotation before being transferred back to the Tianchen Sea.

Wang Yongqian nodded in understanding. "I see," she said. "You may go back and rest. I hope you achieve good rankings in the family competition."

Wang Changxian and the four others acknowledged her words, then turned and departed.

Wang Yongqian seemed to sense something. She took out a constantly shimmering immortal transmission mirror, activated it with a spell, and Wang Changsheng's image appeared on its surface.

"Ancestor, have you come out of seclusion?" Wang Yongqian said in surprise.

"Yongqian, come to Qinglian Peak, I have something to ask you." Wang Changsheng said.

Wang Yongqian assented, left her residence, and proceeded to Qinglian Peak.

Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan were seated in a blue stone pavilion. Their auras had grown considerably stronger, as both had successfully advanced to the late True Immortal stage.

This was considered a rapid pace of cultivation; in the same amount of time, ordinary True Immortal cultivators would still be lingering in the middle True Immortal stage. However, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan were not ordinary True Immortals; they were true spirits.

"How many True Immortal cultivators does our family have now?" Wang Changsheng asked.

"Our family currently has nearly a hundred True Immortal cultivators. Over the past hundred thousand years, we've gained more than thirty True Immortals. Additionally, the Zhang family has produced a Golden Immortal cultivator." Wang Yongqian reported truthfully. She explained that the family's rapid growth and the large number of True Immortal cultivators were largely due to the successive destruction of the Heavenly Beast Sect and the Changyuan Clan, which brought the Wang family vast territories and cultivation resources.

The Xia family had recovered some of its strength, but it still paled in comparison to the Wang family. Even disregarding the apparent number of True Immortals, the Wang family was now undeniably the most powerful force in the Bailu Archipelago.

The Zhang family's legacy far surpassed that of the Nine Immortals Sect, yet it had been a long time since they last produced a Golden Immortal cultivator. Now, with a family member finally advancing to the Golden Immortal stage, it signaled a potential revitalization for the Zhang family, though whether this individual could truly lead them to glory remained to be seen.

"The Zhang family? What is this person's name?" Wang Changsheng asked casually.

"Zhang Yilong. He is said to possess a Spirit Body and is skilled in lightning arts. Before he reached the Golden Immortal stage, he rarely appeared and remained obscure, suggesting he was a hidden strength of the Zhang family." Wang Yongqian reported.

"By the way, has the Immortal Armor Army been formed?" Wang Ruyan asked.

Wang Qingshan and others had been collecting Mixed Origin Stones and chaotic beast hides on the Chaos Continent, arranging their transport back. With Wang Changsheng having refined six sets of Chaos Armor, combined with those previously seized from enemies, the Wang family now possessed enough to establish an Immortal Armor Army.

Excluding spirit beasts like Wang Tunian and Wang Lin, the Wang family's nearly one hundred True Immortal cultivators made it high time to establish an Immortal Armor Army, which would be crucial for defending Haoyang City.

Naturally, it remained exceedingly difficult for other factions like the Heavenly Ghost Sect, the Sun family, the Xia family, and the Bai family to establish their own Immortal Armor Armies. The process of refining Chaos Armor was exceptionally challenging, and simply acquiring a few pieces was considered extremely fortunate.

Wang Changsheng himself had experienced several failures when refining Chaos Armor. Fortunately, the Azure Lotus Creation Cauldron possessed the ability to restore materials, enabling him to eventually succeed. With each subsequent attempt, his success rate in refining the armor steadily improved.

"I have already made preparations for the family competition and sent out notifications," Wang Yongqian reported. "Many True Immortal family members are now hurrying back to participate." Wang Yongqian explained that times had changed. With so many True Immortal cultivators in the family, it was natural to strive for excellence and select the most elite to form the Immortal Armor Army.
