A rushing river flowed between dense forests.

Even if he held off the five-colored Chaos Beast, he might not be able to acquire the Arid God Fruit. Hundreds of yellow lights shot skyward, and yellow sand filled the air. A massive yellow light barrier appeared out of thin air, trapping it inside. Wang Shen's body radiated brilliant green light, transforming into specks of green light and vanishing.

The five-colored Chaos Beast seemed to realize something and immediately flew towards its nest. With a flash of golden light, a shimmering golden net appeared and descended, enveloping the five-colored Chaos Beast. It rapidly tightened, binding the beast like a zongzi. It struggled fiercely, causing the golden net's spiritual light to flicker continuously before it tore into pieces. A low-grade immortal artifact was thus ruined.

The sound of roaring waves echoed as a colossal wave over one hundred thousand zhang high slammed into the five-colored Chaos Beast. The massive body of the five-colored Chaos Beast flew backward like a kite with a broken string, crashing heavily into the ground and creating a giant crater.

Wang Changsheng snorted coldly and made a hand seal. Countless blue runes emerged on the surface of the blue water screen, making its spiritual light even more dazzling. He took out a giant white staff. With a flick of his wrist, the staff shot directly towards the five-colored Chaos Beast. Strong winds howled, and numerous staff shadows swept out, covering all escape routes of the five-colored Chaos Beast. The dense staff shadows continuously struck the five-colored Chaos Beast's body, producing a series of muffled thuds, but the beast remained unharmed.

It also realized that it wouldn't be able to escape unless it dealt with Wang Changsheng. The five-colored Chaos Beast flapped its wings lightly, soaring into the air. It then fiercely flapped its wings, transforming into an afterimage, and instantly appeared before Wang Changsheng. With two "whoosh" sounds, Wang Changsheng's body was pierced by the five-colored Chaos Beast's sharp claws, dissolving into countless blue water vapors.

Less than a quarter of an hour later, Wang Shen sent a telepathic message to Wang Changsheng: "Master, we've secured the Arid God Fruit and the Arid God Fruit tree. Big Brother and the others can't hold on much longer."

"Tell Mengli to use her illusion art to trap the four-colored Chaos Beast for a moment. You all leave first and regroup at the designated location," Wang Changsheng commanded.

Wang Shen agreed and went to assist Wang Tunian and the others. A sky-shattering dragon's roar echoed, and Wang Changsheng also swung his giant white staff, striking the five-colored Chaos Beast again with a muffled thud.

The blue water screen dispersed, and the yellow light barrier shattered as well. Wang Tunian and the others had already escaped, and the two Chaos Beasts redirected their attacks towards Wang Changsheng.

Wang Changsheng's body glowed with brilliant blue light. He split into ten figures, and the ten Wang Changshengs flew rapidly in different directions. The two Chaos Beasts pounced on two of the Wang Changshengs, who then dissipated into specks of blue water vapor.
