Chapter 3445: Breaking the Ban to Obtain the Treasure

The Blazing Fire Race was effectively clearing obstacles for them. Once the number of Blazing Fire Race cultivators decreased further, they could make their move.

"Oh, a Yaksha cultivator!"

Wang Chuanming uttered a soft exclamation, his brows furrowed.

"How many Yaksha are there?" Wang Yibing asked.

"One person, cultivation level unknown!" Wang Chuanming replied truthfully, an interested expression on his face.

"A cave dwelling!" Wang Chuanming's expression darkened.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, how do you know what they're saying from such a distance?" Lan Fukong asked, puzzled.

"I can read lips," Wang Chuanming explained. As the head of the Dark Hall, he not only understood lip-reading but also had considerable knowledge of other races' languages, scripts, and customs. Otherwise, how could he gather intelligence and deploy personnel?

"They're speaking too quickly for me to catch everything, but they repeatedly mentioned 'cave dwelling,' so they must have discovered an ancient cultivator's abode," Wang Chuanming stated with certainty.

"Many cultivators have died in the training grounds; perhaps it's a cave dwelling left behind by a predecessor," Wang Yibing analyzed.

"We'll continue to follow them and observe the situation," Wang Chuanming suggested.

Wang Yibing and the other two nodded, indicating no objections.

In the dense forest, Yan Yun'er and Bashan were speaking, their expressions solemn.

"A Mahayana cultivator's cave dwelling! Are you sure?" Yan Yun'er said with a frown.

"It's definitely a Mahayana cultivator's cave dwelling. The three of us attacked for half a day, and the restrictions showed no signs of weakening. However, there's a formidable Grade Seven high-rank Six-Eyed Sand Spider that's difficult to deal with. My clansmen and I scattered to escape, and I don't know what happened to them. I waited for a long time but couldn't find them, and then I found you." Bashan's expression was grim.

The training grounds were too vast, and he couldn't find his clansmen, so he had no choice but to cooperate with the Blazing Fire Race cultivators. He deliberately lied, making Yan Yun'er mistakenly believe that some Yaksha cultivators had escaped. This way, if Yan Yun'er intended to harm him, she would have some reservations.

"In that case, let's work together to eliminate the Six-Eyed Sand Spider, break the restrictions, and claim the treasures," Yan Yun'er proposed.

Bashan readily agreed and personally led the way.

Half a day later, they arrived outside a gigantic valley surrounded by mountains on three sides, their expressions serious.

"The Six-Eyed Sand Spider is inside a cave within the valley. It possesses petrification divine ability, making it difficult to handle," Bashan said, pointing to the gigantic valley.

Yan Yun'er nodded, taking out formation flags and a formation plate to set up a formation. After setting up the formation, Yan Yun'er instructed a burly man in yellow: "Huang Yan, go lure out the Six-Eyed Sand Spider. Be careful."

Bashan breathed a sigh of relief; he had been wondering how to refuse! He was unwilling to lure out the Six-Eyed Sand Spider, fearing that if Yan Yun'er and the others trapped him within the formation as well, he would be in a dire situation.

The man in yellow acknowledged, transforming into a yellow rainbow and flying into the valley. Yan Yun'er and the other four cast spells to conceal themselves. Not long after, a deafening roar echoed from within the valley, vaguely mixed with a scream.

A ball of yellow flame lit up outside the valley, revealing the figure of the man in yellow. His right leg was gone, his face was pale, and his eyes were filled with terror. The moment he appeared, a powerful gravitational force emerged out of thin air, causing his body to plummet uncontrollably towards the ground. Simultaneously, a large expanse of fine yellow spider silk shot out, heading straight for him. The man in yellow quickly conjured a shield shimmering with yellow light, blocking the yellow spider silk. Two beams of yellow light flew out from the gigantic valley, striking the yellow shield, which rapidly petrified. The yellow spider silk intertwined, weaving into a long spear shimmering with yellow light, which struck the shield, shattering it. The yellow spider silk then coiled around the man in yellow. He quickly spat out a stream of yellow flame onto the silk, but it remained completely undamaged.

Yan Yun'er and the other four immediately revealed themselves and attacked the Six-Eyed Sand Spider.

Over ten thousand miles away, Wang Chuanming and the other three stood in a dense thicket. Wang Chuanming held a spirit-seeking pearl in one hand, observing the situation.

"Their attempt to lure out the Six-Eyed Sand Spider failed, and they've resorted to attacking it directly," Wang Chuanming said softly.

"Can you locate the cave dwelling's position? Or spirit herbs?" Lan Fukong asked.

"Neither! Let's wait for them to break the restrictions and emerge with the treasures, then we can eliminate them! It's the perfect time to cast our net," Wang Chuanming said excitedly. It was fortunate they hadn't moved to eliminate their opponents sooner.

"One Blazing Fire Race cultivator was killed by the Six-Eyed Sand Spider. That Six-Eyed Sand Spider is truly formidable!" Wang Chuanming said in surprise. If there were eggs, he would consider raising a Six-Eyed Sand Spider.

"If the Six-Eyed Sand Spider lacked strength, it wouldn't be ranked so highly," Wang Yibing said with a smile.

Inside the gigantic valley, Yan Yun'er and the other four stood on the ground. A short, stout old man in a golden robe had a pale face, and his right arm was gone. The Six-Eyed Sand Spider lay on the ground, its body severed in half. The five of them had teamed up to kill the Six-Eyed Sand Spider. Yet, one person was killed, another severely wounded, and two mid-grade Spirit-Penetrating Spiritual Treasures were ruined. The Six-Eyed Sand Spider's petrification divine ability was simply too powerful.

A tall man in a green shirt put on gloves and retrieved dozens of yellow insect eggs from the corpse.

"Take them back to the clan for cultivation. We hope to cultivate Grade Seven Six-Eyed Sand Spiders," Yan Yun'er commanded.

She raised her right hand, and several red-glowing spherical beads flew in all directions. Bashan frowned and asked, "Fairy Yan, what is the meaning of this?"

"These are warning beads. They allow us to detect anyone approaching," Yan Yun'er explained.

"The training grounds are so vast; the chances of encountering others are too low. You should put them away to avoid misunderstandings," Bashan said with a frown. Who knew if what Yan Yun'er had just conjured was a treasure to trap enemies? If the cave dwelling contained precious treasures, she might turn on him.

Yan Yun'er's delicate brows furrowed. After a moment of thought, she withdrew the warning beads.

They put away the Six-Eyed Sand Spider's corpse and headed towards the cave. Not long after, the four appeared in a cave spanning several *mu*. Bashan pointed to a rugged stone wall and said, "This is it. Let's all attack here." They either activated their dharma manifestations or manipulated their treasures to attack the stone wall. Following a series of booming explosions, a thick yellow light barrier appeared. They immediately intensified their attacks.

Ten thousand miles away, in a forest of yellow maple leaves, Wang Chuanming and the other three stood beneath a maple tree, their expressions solemn.

"They are currently breaking the restrictions to retrieve treasures. Yan Yun'er previously conjured warning beads, but after the Yaksha cultivator said something to her, she withdrew them," Wang Chuanming said excitedly, grateful that they hadn't moved to eliminate their opponents sooner.

"Let's go. We'll stealthily approach outside the valley and wait for them, then eliminate them in one swift strike," Wang Yibing said excitedly. She conjured a centipede puppet and channeled a spell into it. An entrance about a *zhang* wide appeared on the puppet's abdomen. They entered, and the opening closed. The centipede puppet burrowed underground and vanished.

A loud series of explosions echoed from within the gigantic valley, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

A day passed. With a thunderous crash, the cave exploded, and a thick beam of yellow light shot skyward, highly conspicuous. Yan Yun'er and the other three gazed at a crude stone chamber, over a hundred *zhang* in size, their eyes burning with eagerness. In the center of the stone chamber lay a humanoid skeleton. It was draped in a tattered yellow robe and was entirely black. Its sternum was completely shattered, and its skull was cracked, indicating it had suffered severe injuries before death. On its right bony hand was a storage bracelet, shimmering with yellow light.

Yan Yun'er opened her mouth and spat out a stream of crimson flames, which landed on the humanoid skeleton. The skeleton turned to ash, while the crimson flames enveloped the yellow storage bracelet without any abnormalities. They unleashed their divine sense and meticulously searched, but found no anomalies.
