Chapter 3441: Great Power Cave Residence

Wang Changsheng cut open the belly of the yellow demon rat and dug out the azure giant eagle. It was dead, but its corpse was relatively well-preserved, making it suitable for artifact refining.

He dug out the demon rat's inner core and placed it in a yellow jade box.

Wang Tunian devoured this eighth-tier demon rat, and there was a high probability he would advance to the eighth tier, as he had inherited the Devouring Rat bloodline.

With a slight flick of his wrist, Wang Tunian flew out from the spirit beast bracelet. The Soul-Suppressing Roar had too great an effect on him, so he had to be temporarily recalled to the spirit beast bracelet.

"Master is amazing; even an eighth-tier demon rat is no match," Wang Tunian said excitedly.

"You've earned significant merit this time," Wang Changsheng promised, "You can enjoy the corpse once we're outside." If Wang Tunian were to devour the eighth-tier demon rat's corpse now, he would surely fall into a deep slumber, which would be detrimental to their continued treasure hunt.

"Thank you, Master," Wang Tunian replied, his expression excited.

"There are eighth-tier Human-Faced Owls here, but surely there aren't any eighth-tier Devouring Rats, right?" Wang Ruyan speculated boldly.

"I doubt it!" Wang Changsheng mused. "If there were an eighth-tier Devouring Rat, few demon beasts could defeat it! These eighth-tier demon beasts would probably all be eaten. How could there be so many eighth-tier demon beasts then? But on that note, given the sheer number of eighth-tier demon beasts here, I don't feel like this is a dojo. Perhaps it's a small world that Grand Exalted Xuanling once visited."

Wang Changsheng theorized. He hadn't visited other Mahayana cultivators' dojos, but some cultivators had. Other Mahayana cultivators' dojos weren't this large, nor did they have so many eighth-tier demon beasts, and certainly no true spirit descendants like Human-Faced Owls.

"That's possible. Let's head..." Wang Ruyan's words were cut short by a loud roar from Wang Changsheng's body.

Wang Changsheng took out the Demon-Seeking Mirror and said with a frown, "Northwest direction."

Wang Tunian understood instantly and immediately activated his eyes to scan the northwest.

"An eighth-tier Tiger-Phoenix Butterfly! It's pursuing two eighth-tier demon birds," Wang Tunian's voice was grim.

"An eighth-tier Tiger-Phoenix Butterfly? Retreat quickly!" Wang Changsheng's expression grew tense. Tiger-Phoenix Butterflies are masters of spatial abilities, making escape difficult; they needed to get as far away as possible.

Wang Changsheng put away his treasures and the eighth-tier demon beast's corpse, then used an earth-burrowing escape technique.

Not long after, a misty green tornado swept in from the distance. The void trembled and warped, and the green tornado stopped, revealing a massive azure giant crane with golden eyes.

It floated motionless in mid-air, emitting urgent crane calls.

With a spatial fluctuation, a massive void appeared out of thin air, and a giant Tiger-Phoenix Butterfly flew out from it. As the Tiger-Phoenix Butterfly gently flapped its wings, thick, long cracks appeared in the void, slicing through the azure giant crane's body, tearing it into countless chunks of flesh.

Spatial Blades!

The Tiger-Phoenix Butterfly spewed out a stream of glowing light, enveloping the chunks of flesh, drawing them into its mouth, and devouring them. It then flapped its wings and departed.

In a massive valley surrounded on three sides by mountains, five Yaksha cultivators—two men and one woman—were besieging a colossal Six-Eyed Sand Spider. Leading them was a tall, burly man in yellow robes, with a green face, tusks, and a pair of yellow fleshy wings on his back.

This was Bashan, at the late Integration stage.

They had become separated from their main group and were fighting independently.

The Six-Eyed Sand Spider's body was drenched in blood, and its aura was weak, appearing severely wounded.

Bashan activated his Dharma Idol; the illusory Yaksha figure slapped its right hand towards the void, simultaneously spewing a misty yellow sound wave from its mouth.

The other two followed suit, and three large hands along with three yellow sound waves shot directly towards the Six-Eyed Sand Spider.

With a thunderous roar, more than half of the Six-Eyed Sand Spider's body sank into the ground, and four of its spider legs broke. It was still alive and could move, but its mobility was greatly reduced.

A large volley of yellow light blades descended from the sky, repeatedly striking the Six-Eyed Sand Spider's body, severing its head and spilling blood everywhere.

"Finally, it's dead. This demon probably survived a grand heavenly tribulation not long ago; its injuries must have been caused by the lightning tribulation. What a windfall for us!" a shapely young woman in a red dress said with a smile.

"Enough chatter," Bashan urged, "Go quickly and gather the spirit herbs, then rest a bit, and we'll head to the next location." He put away the Six-Eyed Sand Spider's corpse, then took out a piece of green beast hide and began drawing. He was charting his route through the dojo, perhaps for future use by himself or his descendants.

The young woman in the green dress and a short, stout elderly man in a green robe walked towards the cave to gather spirit herbs.

Not long after, a loud series of explosions echoed from within the cave.

Bashan frowned and immediately rushed into the cave.

Shortly after, he found himself in a cavern several acres in size. The young woman in the green dress and the elderly man in the green robe were attacking an uneven stone wall. Runes flickered on the wall, and a thick yellow light screen, clearly a restriction, was visible.

"What's going on here?" Bashan asked.

"We discovered it by chance," the young woman in the green dress said excitedly. "It must have been left by cultivators who entered the dojo for treasure hunting before, but we don't know if they were Mahayana or Integration stage."

Bashan's interest was piqued. The three of them activated their Dharma Idols and conjured their treasures to attack the yellow light screen.

Half a day passed, but the yellow light screen remained unyielding.

"Could this have been left by a Mahayana cultivator?" the young woman in the green dress said grimly. "If it had been left by an Integration stage cultivator, after all this time, and with three Integration stage cultivators attacking it for half a day without any sign of weakening, it definitely isn't from an Integration stage cultivator."

"Increase your efforts, I don't believe..." Bashan's words were cut short as he lightly flapped the wings on his back, vanishing from his spot. Two beams of yellow light shot forward; one struck the young woman in the green dress, who visibly petrified, turning into a massive statue.

A colossal Six-Eyed Sand Spider, its aura revealing it to be a top-tier seventh-tier beast, burst in. Its mate had been severely wounded while undergoing a grand heavenly tribulation, and it had gone out to find spirit herbs, only to return and find its mate dead.

"Oh no, a top-tier seventh-tier Six-Eyed Sand Spider! Run!"

Bashan violently flapped the wings on his back and vanished.

The elderly man in the green robe tried to follow suit, but dense yellow spider silk shot towards him, while a powerful gravitational force simultaneously appeared out of nowhere, pinning him to the ground.

The elderly man in the green robe quickly conjured a shimmering green shield to block the yellow spider silk. He then performed a hand seal, and a brilliant green light erupted from his body.

The green shield rapidly petrified, then shattered into pieces. Countless thin yellow spider silks shot out, entangling the elderly man in the green robe. He struggled fiercely, but it was futile; the spider silk was incredibly tough.

The Six-Eyed Sand Spider spewed a stream of yellow venomous fire onto the elderly man in the green robe, who screamed repeatedly.

In less than fifteen minutes, the elderly man in the green robe stopped struggling and ceased breathing. As soon as his mini Nascent Soul left his body, it was swallowed by the Six-Eyed Sand Spider.

After devouring the elderly man in the green robe's corpse, the Six-Eyed Sand Spider crawled to a corner and closed its eyes.

The yellow light screen on the stone wall slowly faded, eventually disappearing as if it had never been there.
