Chapter 3406: White Ling'er Sends a Message

Thousand Spirits Continent, Qinglin Valley.

The streets teemed with people, and the clamor of carriages and horses filled the air.

In a secluded small courtyard with blue-tiled roofs, Wang Xiangrong and Wang Yixin sat in a stone pavilion, listening to Wang Daofeng's report.

"This is troublesome. We can't find Qingxiao and Qingshan, and Ruyi and Qingfeng are also missing," Wang Xiangrong said with a frown.

He had learned that Wang Qingxiao and Wang Qingshan had appeared in a certain location. He took Wang Ruyi and Long Qingfeng to investigate, found some clues, but was then pursued by cultivators from the Tianxin Clan while leaving. Wang Xiangrong stayed behind to cover their retreat, allowing Wang Ruyi and Long Qingfeng to escape, and they lost contact thereafter.

Wang Xiangrong fought desperately to break through the encirclement, barely escaping with severe injuries. What he didn't expect was that Wang Ruyi and Long Qingfeng hadn't returned even after a long time.

The Thousand Spirits Continent was too far from the Profound Spirit Continent, so Wang Xiangrong couldn't ascertain the status of the four's soul lanterns, which naturally caused him concern.

"Their divine abilities are formidable; they should be fine! Once the Ye family's Ice Lion arrives, we'll send someone back to the clan to report," Wang Yixin suggested.

Who could have foreseen such a situation? They could only silently pray for their safety.

"We don't know where Qingshan and Qingxiao went. I hope they weren't trapped in the Dead Soul Space," Wang Xiangrong sighed.

"Daofeng, you may leave. Keep an eye out for any news regarding the Tianxin Clan and Su Jianjia. Qingshan and Qingxiao's disappearance might be connected to them," Wang Xiangrong instructed.

Wang Daofeng acknowledged and withdrew.

"By my estimation, Ancestor Qingshan should be nearing the Grand Completion stage of the Integration realm! I hope they are alright," Wang Yixin sighed. They had no other recourse but to wait patiently.

Wang Xiangrong nodded and asked, "Has Mengshan not returned yet?"

"Not yet. I've already instructed Daofeng and the others to look out for any news about the Cold Flame Sect disciples," Wang Yixin replied truthfully.

Wang Mengshan had accompanied Liu Yao and others to investigate the cause of death of an Integration Realm cultivator from the Cold Flame Sect. He wasn't sure of their exact destination and didn't want to inquire further. The Wang family had limited personnel on the Thousand Spirits Continent and couldn't offer much assistance.

"Notify me immediately if you hear anything about them. I'm going into seclusion for cultivation," Wang Xiangrong ordered.

With that instruction, Wang Xiangrong stepped towards the green pavilion.

He entered a secret chamber, sat down cross-legged, and began cultivating.

Before long, a faint azure glow appeared out of thin air, enveloping Wang Xiangrong's entire body.

The Jinyu Mountain Range, stretching for hundreds of millions of li, was located in the southwestern part of the Thousand Spirits Continent and was the territory of the Yue Clan.

The Yue Clan was a minor clan with no Grand Ascension cultivators, serving as a subordinate race to the Xi Clan.

In the northwestern corner of the Jinyu Mountain Range lay a colossal valley with paths leading in all directions. Outside the valley stood a yellow stone monument over ten zhang tall, inscribed with the three large characters "Jinyu Valley." A clamor emanated from within the valley.

The streets were wide and clean, bustling with cultivators of various races, including humans.

In a secluded small courtyard with blue-tiled roofs, there was a two-story green pavilion and a green stone pavilion.

Wang Ruyi and a tall, red-robed elder sat in the stone pavilion, chatting. The red-robed elder held a small, red-glowing bell in his hand, a wide smile on his face.

"Madam Long, thank you very much. I didn't expect you to repair the Scarlet Toad Bell so quickly; your artifact refining skills are even superior to Fellow Daoist Chi's," the red-robed elder said gratefully, smiling broadly.

The red-robed elder had some silver spirit patterns on his face, snow-white eyes, long ears, a high nose, and a rather large physique.

The red-robed elder's name was Sha Yan, and he hailed from the Yue Clan.

The Yue Clan had over ten Integration Realm cultivators, and Sha Yan was one of them.

"It was nothing. If Fellow Daoist Sha hadn't helped us, my husband and I would likely have perished," Wang Ruyi said with a smile.

To escape their pursuers, she and Long Qingfeng had ventured deep into the Fallen Immortal Desert.

The Fallen Immortal Desert was a vast expanse of yellow sand, offering no landmarks, making it impossible for them to determine their location. They blundered aimlessly, occasionally encountering mirages, and were trapped in the desert for over a thousand years. All their defensive treasures were rendered useless, and they nearly died on several occasions. Fortunately, they encountered cultivators from the Yue Clan who guided them out of the Fallen Immortal Desert; otherwise, they would have eventually been trapped and perished there.

"Madam Long, you're too kind. You were already in the outer reaches of the Fallen Immortal Desert, so even if you hadn't met me, you would have eventually escaped. However, to return to the main human gathering places, you would need to cross the entire Fallen Immortal Desert or pass through the territories of dozens of other races. Why not stay here? There are quite a few human cultivators here as well," Sha Yan said sincerely.

Humans possessed strong reproductive capabilities, and human cultivators could be found in many parts of the Thousand Spirits Continent. There were some human cultivators within the Yue Clan's jurisdiction, though none higher than the Integration Realm.

The Yue Clan and the human cultivators combined had fewer than twenty Integration Realm cultivators, and only two level-seven artifact refiners. Wang Ruyi's artifact refining skills were relatively high, so local Integration Realm cultivators sometimes asked her to help refine artifacts or repair treasures.

After chatting for a while, Sha Yan took out a red jade box, handed it to Wang Ruyi, and politely said, "Madam Long, this is the agreed-upon compensation. You didn't accept payment for your previous help, and if you don't take it this time, it would be difficult for this old man to ask for your help again."

Wang Ruyi accepted it without even looking.

"Madam Long, I have other matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave now," Sha Yan said, rising.

Sha Yan rose and departed.

No sooner had he left than Long Qingfeng entered, his expression grave. He had been gathering information about the Fallen Immortal Desert, hoping to find a way back to the human gathering places.

"Given our current strength, it would be extremely difficult for us to return to the human gathering places. Why don't we settle down here, dedicate ourselves to cultivation, and return once our cultivation has advanced?" Long Qingfeng suggested.

"Alright, I'll listen to you," Wang Ruyi agreed.

Long Qingfeng let out a soft sigh and said with some guilt, "Ruyi, you've suffered much by following me."

If Wang Ruyi had stayed on the Profound Spirit Continent, she wouldn't have been pursued, wouldn't have ventured into dangerous places, and wouldn't have been trapped in peril for over a thousand years.

"Don't say such foolish things in the future. We are husband and wife; it's only right that we share hardships," Wang Ruyi said earnestly.

Long Qingfeng smiled faintly, nodded, and said nothing more.

Profound Spirit Continent, Azure Lotus Island.

On Azure Lotus Peak, Wang Ruyan and Master Miaode sat in a stone pavilion, discussing the art of talisman crafting.

"Listening to the Master saves ten thousand years of detours," Wang Ruyan exclaimed.

Master Miaode was skilled in talisman art, especially in drawing formation talismans, and offered Wang Ruyan much guidance, resolving doubts that had plagued her for years.

"Madam Wang, you flatter me. With your comprehension, reaching this stage wouldn't be difficult; it would merely take more time," Master Miaode humbly replied.

Wang Ruyan was about to say something more when she took out a shimmering blue spell plate from her embrace. As she cast a spell formula into it, her expression tightened.

"Madam Wang, let's stop here for today. This monk will return to rest," Master Miaode said tactfully.

Master Miaode, understanding the situation, departed.

Wang Ruyan personally escorted him, not daring to be neglectful.

After Master Miaode left, Wang Ruyan spoke, "Qingshan is in the Celestial Demon Realm? Is that true?"

Their clan members from the lower realms had informed them via a formation that Wang Qingshan was in the Celestial Demon Realm.

"A cultivator named Bai Linger informed our clan members in the Liyang Realm. She said that once father and mother heard her name, they would understand everything," Wang Qingcheng's voice echoed.

"What about Qingshan? Why wasn't it him who sent the message?" Wang Ruyan asked, puzzled.

"Bai Linger said that Seventh Brother attempted to send a soul avatar to the lower realms, but it failed, and he's currently in secluded cultivation. She personally cast a spell to send her soul avatar to the lower realms, and it was with great difficulty that she reached the Liyang Realm. Qingxiao should also be in the Celestial Demon Realm, but her exact location is currently unknown."
