High-rank cultivators in Qianling Continent were quite wealthy. The items offered for exchange were diverse; even the shell of a seventh-tier monster turtle was being traded. The items they sought in return were also very valuable.

A refined-looking young man in a white robe collected the items from the table and returned to his seat.

Immortal Jade Butterfly stood up and took out dozens of materials. A green jade bottle, in particular, caught Wang Qingshan's attention. The bottle was covered with a shimmering golden talisman. This was a Spirit Sealing Talisman, designed to slow the loss of spiritual energy, allowing precious elixirs and medicines to be preserved for longer. It was typically used for valuable items.

“Immortal Zhang, what’s inside that jade bottle?” Wang Qingshan pointed at the green jade bottle and asked curiously.

“This is the essence blood of an eighth-tier Golden Kirin Beast, diluted essence blood. It’s an excellent material for alchemy. If consumed by spirit beasts with Kirin bloodlines, it can strengthen their lineage and greatly aid their advancement.” Immortal Jade Butterfly explained.

“Eighth-tier Golden Kirin Beast essence blood?” Wang Qingshan's heart stirred. Even diluted essence blood could be somewhat helpful for Wang Lei’s advancement.

“Madam Zhang is quite capable! To have obtained the essence blood of an eighth-tier Golden Kirin Beast, even if diluted, it’s still perfectly usable for refining seventh-tier pills.” A shapely young woman in a purple dress said with a surprised smile.

“It’s not really a feat; I traded for it with a fellow Daoist. I’m looking to exchange it for a seventh-tier demon butterfly’s monster core, or something of equivalent value.” Immortal Jade Butterfly clarified.

Demon insects are much harder to advance than spirit beasts, so acquiring a seventh-tier demon butterfly’s monster core was not easy.

Su Yilei and several other Integration Stage cultivators took out items for Immortal Jade Butterfly to inspect. Wang Qingshan took out a green jade box and handed it to her, transmitting a message: “This is the inner core of a seventh-tier Golden Blazing Butterfly. What do you think, Immortal Zhang?”

If it weren't for the diluted eighth-tier demon beast essence blood, a seventh-tier demon butterfly’s inner core wouldn't be enough for the trade. The diluted essence blood came with a significant discount.

Immortal Jade Butterfly examined the items from several cultivators and ultimately traded with Wang Qingshan.

Su Yilei and the others then sent private messages to Immortal Jade Butterfly, exchanging other items.

A deafening roar suddenly echoed, startling Wang Qingshan and the others. They exchanged bewildered glances.

“Fellow Daoist Su, what’s going on? Has someone dared to cause trouble in Golden Python Ridge?” Immortal Jade Butterfly asked with a frown.

Su Yilei took out a yellow communication disk, and as he cast a spell, a low male voice resonated: “Ancestor, the Profound Frost Twin Immortals have arrived.”

The young woman in the purple dress frowned, saying, “The Profound Frost Twin Immortals? Fellow Daoist Su, if I’m not mistaken, the Flying Snow Sect and your Su family are rivals. Why would they show up during your grand birthday celebration?”

The Flying Snow Sect had been established for over 20,000 years, founded by the Profound Frost Twin Immortals. They were dual cultivation partners, and both were Integration Stage cultivators.

It was no secret that the Flying Snow Sect had been in constant conflict with the Su family over the years.

“Let’s accompany Fellow Daoist Su outside to take a look! I doubt they’d cause trouble during Fellow Daoist Su’s birthday celebration.” Wang Qingshan spoke.

Immortal Jade Butterfly and the others did not refuse, and the group flew out.

A massive, pure white twin-headed python floated high in the sky. A tall young man in a white robe and a beautiful young woman in a blue dress stood atop each of the python’s heads. Judging by their aura, they were clearly Integration Stage cultivators.

The twin-headed python’s eyes were blue. There were several giant pits on the ground, and ice layers were visible. On a nearby hilltop, a team of Su family cultivators had been frozen into a massive, motionless ice sculpture.

Su Yilei and a dozen other Integration Stage cultivators flew out. Upon seeing his frozen clan members, Su Yilei’s expression darkened.

“Fellow Daoist Bai, Madam Bai, are you trying to start a war with our Su family?” Su Yilei said with a gloomy face.

The Su family had organized a grand birthday celebration for Su Yilei precisely because the Flying Snow Sect had been constantly harassing them and encroaching on their territory. They hoped to use this occasion to showcase the Su family's connections and deter the Profound Frost Twin Immortals.

“Fellow Daoist Su, we never intended to go to war with your Su family. Our spirit beast was a bit unruly; we weren’t watching it closely enough, and it ended up freezing your clan members.” The young man in the white robe said with a half-smile.

They had received reports from their spies that Su Yilei’s team had been nearly wiped out during a treasure hunt in a dangerous area. This was the perfect time to deal with the Su family.

They weren't aiming to annihilate the Su family; even a cornered rabbit would bite. They merely wanted the Su family to cede territory and pay some compensation.

Su Yuxin rushed out and spat a stream of golden infant flame onto the massive ice block.

Strangely, the colossal ice block showed no signs of melting.

“I forgot to mention, after my spirit beast advanced to the seventh-tier, it mastered the divine ability ‘Dry Ice Prohibiting Light.’ Even infant flame is ineffective against it.” The young man in the white robe chuckled, a look of triumph on his face.

Just then, a ten-foot-long azure fire phoenix flew over and struck the massive ice block. The ice block melted at a visible rate, and the Su family disciples were freed, though their faces were pale.

They would need a long period of recuperation to fully recover; if they had been freed any later, their lives would surely have been in danger.

The azure fire phoenix transformed into a streak of green light and vanished into Wang Qingshan’s sleeve.

The smile on the young man in the white robe froze. His gaze fell upon Wang Qingshan. He clasped his hands and politely said, “My name is Bai Yuban. How should I address Fellow Daoist?”

A late-Integration Stage cultivator was a dominant figure in human territories, yet he had never heard of or seen Wang Qingshan. Could he be a cultivator from another realm?

“My surname is Wang. I was invited by Fellow Daoist Su to attend his grand birthday celebration.” Wang Qingshan’s tone was calm, not revealing much.

“This is a private grudge between us and Fellow Daoist Su. We ask Fellow Daoist Wang not to interfere.” Bai Yuban said in a deep voice.

“We’ve long heard of Fellow Daoist Su’s profound techniques. We’ve come this time specifically to seek guidance from Fellow Daoist Su.” The young woman in the blue dress chuckled. Both of them were mid-Integration Stage, and Su Yilei, whose injuries hadn't fully healed, was certainly no match for them.

“Fellow Daoist Wang, if you help this old man repel these two, I will offer you a piece of Nine-Braised Jade as compensation. How about it?” Su Yilei transmitted a message to Wang Qingshan.

Nine-Braised Jade is an eighth-tier artifact refining material. When incorporated into a treasure, it can enhance its defense.

He had found this in Heavenly Acid Valley. Judging from the earlier exchange, Wang Qingshan had high standards, so he figured only Nine-Braised Jade would persuade him to act.

Without tangible benefits, who would stand up for the Su family?

Wang Qingshan pondered for a moment and agreed. With this piece of Nine-Braised Jade, his Stone Golem might be able to advance to the seventh-tier.

Furthermore, the Su family was an established power and might have information about the Dry Spirit Token. It would be a good way to foster positive relations, and in the future, if Wang family cultivators came to Qianling Continent to gather cultivation resources, the Su family could provide some convenience.

The young man in the white robe and the young woman in the blue dress frowned deeply. They hadn't expected Wang Qingshan to intervene on Su Yilei's behalf; this was not part of their plan.

They could choose to retreat, but that would mean they could never trouble the Su family again.

“Very well, we too wish to experience Fellow Daoist Wang’s divine abilities.” Bai Yuban deliberated for a moment and then agreed.

The couple often fought together, and even against late-Integration Stage cultivators, they could hold their own. Losing wouldn't be embarrassing, but winning would force the Su family to bleed, giving up some territory and resources, which would greatly benefit the future development of the Flying Snow Sect.
