Chapter 2475: Blood Scale Sand, True Spirit Origin in Hand (None Left Today)

When Wang Changsheng first acquired the Nine-Yang Demon-Slaying Talisman, he didn't pay it much mind. He possessed the Glazed True Eyes, which specifically countered spectral entities, rendering the talisman unnecessary for him.

The Qilin phantom before them was a manifestation of the Ink Qilin's remnant soul. Wang Changsheng deployed his Glazed Divine Light, but it proved ineffective against the remnant soul.

The Qilin phantom seemed to detect something and was about to evade when Wang Ruyan let out another loud shout.

The Qilin phantom became translucent, appearing as if on the verge of collapse.

A flash of golden light erupted as the Nine-Yang Demon-Slaying Talisman split into nine dazzling golden beams, striking the Qilin phantom one after another.

The Qilin phantom shrieked in agony, emitting plumes of green smoke as its form flickered in and out of sight.

A blue light illuminated Wang Changsheng's brow as his Glazed True Eyes materialized, projecting a stream of Glazed Divine Light that enveloped the Qilin phantom.

The Qilin phantom continued to shriek, fading into a semi-transparent state.

Wang Changsheng was somewhat surprised; this Qilin phantom was merely a wisp of a remnant soul, yet it possessed such power. He pondered how formidable the Ink Qilin must have been if it were still alive.

He summoned the Azure Lotus Creation Cauldron and infused it with a spell. The cauldron instantly expanded, its azure lotus patterns glowing brightly as it emitted a misty green radiance. This light enveloped the Qilin phantom, drawing it into the cauldron before the lid was sealed.

Wang Changsheng used the Azure Lotus Creation Cauldron to collect the Ink Qilin's remnant soul, both to prevent its escape and to preserve it for future uses.

Wang Ruyan flew towards the nearby pool and quickly scanned its contents.

Within the pool was a mass of pale blue gas. Wang Ruyan produced a shimmering green gourd, instilled it with a spell, and the gourd emitted a misty green glow. This light enveloped the True Spirit Origin, drawing it entirely into the gourd.

The quantity of True Spirit Origin depended on the strength of the True Spirit Soul; a stronger soul yielded more origin. It was unclear how long the True Spirit Lair had existed, but the True Spirit Soul had become incredibly weak, indicating that the True Spirit Origin was no longer abundant.

This True Spirit Origin could, at most, be divided into three portions, conveniently providing one share for each of the three individuals.

Had there been more True Spirit Origin, the True Spirit Soul would also have been stronger.

Wang Changsheng retrieved the Glazed Soul-Slaying Axe and struck the blood-glowing stone wall. Dull clanging sounds echoed, and sparks flew.

The Ink Qilin's remains were nowhere to be found. According to Monk Yuanxiao, he hadn't found any corpse when he first discovered the True Spirit Lair, presuming it had been devoured by higher-tier demonic beasts—a considerable loss. Furthermore, the True Spirit Blood was also absent.

The only valuable items remaining were the True Spirit Soul, the True Spirit Origin, and these Blood-Qilin Sands.

These Blood-Qilin Sands were a seventh-tier artifact refining material, formed over tens of thousands of years from the Ink Qilin's essence blood spilled onto minerals. They were an excellent material for crafting blood-attribute treasures.

Wang Changsheng chopped off a millstone-sized piece of blood-red ore and intended to continue, but Monk Yuanxiao's urgent voice called out, "Fellow Daoist Wang, quick! This monk can barely hold on."

Wang Changsheng had no choice but to abandon his task and leave the True Spirit Lair with Wang Ruyan.

They could always return to mine the Blood-Qilin Sands if another opportunity arose in the future.

The Azure Serpent was currently manifesting the Ink Qilin's Dharma Idol, attacking the formation talismans. It had already breached the seventh-tier talismans.

Having devoured the Ink Qilin's essence blood and inherited its lineage, it naturally summoned the Ink Qilin Dharma Idol. An ordinary Dharma Idol would not have so easily shattered a seventh-tier talisman.

The Ink Qilin phantom let out an enraged roar, unleashing ten thousand streams of blue light that surged like a sapphire torrent. It effortlessly breached the golden cage, even causing the green light barrier to dim significantly.

The Azure Serpent opened its mouth and blasted a thick green light at the green light barrier. The barrier immediately emitted green smoke, flickering translucently. The blue torrent then effortlessly shattered the green light barrier, allowing the Azure Serpent to escape.

A flash of golden light revealed a shimmering golden pagoda that materialized out of thin air, instantly descending to trap the Azure Serpent within. The golden pagoda began to shake violently.

"We have what we came for; retreat quickly!"

Wang Changsheng shouted, then he and Wang Ruyan burrowed underground and vanished. The Azure Serpent, having inherited the Ink Qilin's bloodline, was certainly not proficient in Earth Escape techniques.

Monk Yuanxiao dared not delay, promptly executing an Earth Escape technique and disappearing beneath the ground.

The golden pagoda shook violently, and thick, long cracks quickly appeared. Twenty breaths later, the pagoda shattered into pieces, reduced to a pile of scrap metal.

The Azure Serpent, having continuously activated its Dharma Idol, was significantly weakened. If it pursued them now, it was uncertain whether it could catch Wang Changsheng and the others, and encountering another seventh-tier demonic beast would surely lead to its demise.

Since it was not proficient in Earth Escape, catching up to them would prove exceptionally difficult.

"Consider yourselves fortunate. Thankfully, I also absorbed some True Spirit Origin. Once I assume human form, I will settle this score with you."

The Azure Serpent spoke human words and flew back to the True Spirit Lair.

Seven days later, in a secluded underground cave, Wang Changsheng, Wang Ruyan, and Monk Yuanxiao were engaged in casual conversation.

Monk Yuanxiao had already received his share of the True Spirit Origin. Wang Changsheng, in turn, traded a mid-grade Spirit Treasure of Heaven-Reaching for two sets of sixth-tier formation talismans from Monk Yuanxiao.

According to Monk Yuanxiao, cultivators in the Integration stage trapped by sixth-tier formation talismans would find it difficult to escape quickly. However, he noted that encountering an exceptionally powerful Integration-stage cultivator would be problematic.

Monk Yuanxiao was discussing talisman arts with Wang Ruyan, offering her some guidance.

"Master Yuanxiao truly lives up to his reputation as a disciple of an Integration-stage cultivator. Thank you for your guidance."

Wang Ruyan expressed her gratitude.

"Madam Wang, you flatter me. It is merely a testament to my master's excellent tutelage. I have urgent matters to attend to, so let us part ways here. If fate permits, we shall meet again."

Having said this, Monk Yuanxiao bid them farewell and departed.

This trip yielded significant gains, and Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan were quite satisfied. They wondered about Li Long and his two companions, hoping they had safely returned to Zhenhai Palace.

"Let's go! We should leave this place too."

Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan exited the cave. Before them lay a dense bamboo forest stretching as far as the eye could see.

The two of them advanced rapidly by employing their Wind Manipulation technique.

A quarter of an hour later, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan emerged from the bamboo forest into a narrow, elongated valley. High-tier demonic birds occasionally soared overhead, but they managed to evade them all.

A tremendous roar echoed, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

Startled, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan halted.

The Double-Pupil Mouse scurried out from Wang Changsheng's embrace, its eyes glowing with dazzling yellow light.

A wisp of Wang Changsheng's divine consciousness, attached to the Double-Pupil Mouse, allowed him to clearly observe a dense forest several hundred miles away. There, three men and one woman were locked in a fierce battle. Two of them were human cultivators, recognizable as disciples of the Azure Verdant Sect by their attire, while the other two were from the Yaksha Tribe.

They were activating their Dharma Idols to attack each other. The Azure Verdant Sect disciples were clearly at a disadvantage, proving no match for their opponents.

"The Azure Verdant Sect!"

Wang Changsheng frowned. Honestly, he held no fondness for the Azure Verdant Sect disciples. Wang Qingshan had once been extorted by them, nearly preventing his ascension to the Profound Sun Realm.

"Do you truly intend to exterminate us all? If I destroy the Divine Creation Water, no one will obtain it."

A gaunt, green-robed old man revealed a look of grim determination, clutching a green porcelain bottle in his hand.
