Chapter 2325: Lin Gui Charges to Sixth Rank

Wang Lihe performed a sword incantation, sending tens of thousands of shimmering blue flying swords to confront and strike the crimson flood dragon.

The crimson flood dragon thrashed its head and tail, dispersing most of the blue flying swords and emitting billows of white mist.

The crimson flood dragon swiftly reached Wang Lihe, opening its massive maw as if to devour him.

Wang Lihe let out a cold snort, and with a flick of his right hand, a white flying sword, shimmering with light, shot forth. The moment the white sword appeared, a flurry of white ice shards materialized in the air.

The Profound Jade Sword, a potent spiritual treasure, was crafted primarily from ten-thousand-year profound jade.

Wang Lihe infused an incantation into the Ice Glazed Sword, which then radiated a dazzling white light and transformed into a white ice python over a hundred zhang long, pouncing on the crimson flood dragon.

The white ice python collided with the crimson flood dragon, generating a powerful shockwave and shrouding the area in white mist.

Thousands of massive crimson fireballs rained down, causing the sea surface to erupt and send spray flying. The water waves then blurred, transforming into numerous blue flying swords that shattered the incoming fireballs.

A red light flared in the sky above Wang Lihe, and a crimson vortex, a hundred zhang in diameter, appeared. The vortex suddenly intensified, unleashing a thick pillar of crimson flame directly at Wang Lihe.

The seawater beneath Wang Lihe erupted, and a colossal wave surged skyward, forming a shimmering blue sword that obliterated the crimson fire pillar.

A piercing dragon roar echoed as the crimson flood dragon's body exploded, turning into a glowing red orb. The white ice python also reverted to its original form, becoming a white, shimmering flying sword that struck the red orb.

With a dull clang, sparks scattered as the red orb was sent flying backward.

Amidst a chorus of piercing sword hums, tens of thousands of shimmering blue flying swords surged towards the red-robed Taoist.

The red-robed Taoist furrowed his brow, flicked his right hand, and sent his red whisk flying. Its dense strands shot towards the blue flying swords, repelling most of them.

Several blue flying swords abruptly merged, forming a shimmering blue colossal sword.

The sea surface erupted, revealing waves that, after blurring, transformed into shimmering blue flying swords, assaulting the red-robed Taoist from all directions.

The red-robed Taoist waved a red command flag, unleashing torrents of raging flames that formed a crimson wall of fire, blocking the incoming blue flying swords.

A shimmering blue colossal sword descended from above, striking towards the red-robed Taoist.

The red-robed Taoist's expression flickered with panic, and he hastily conjured a glowing red short sword to intercept the attack.

With a dull clang, a tremendous force struck, sending the red-robed Taoist sprawling backward.

A colossal blue cloud mass suddenly materialized high above, churning violently like boiling water. Then, large raindrops poured down, blurring and transforming into numerous blue flying swords that streaked directly towards the red-robed Taoist.

Furthermore, the sea surface violently churned, sending up waves that transformed into streaks of blue sword energy, striking the red-robed Taoist.

The red-robed Taoist's expression showed panic, and he hastily conjured a small, glowing red umbrella, holding it above his head. The umbrella spun rapidly, releasing a wide swath of crimson mist that enveloped his entire body.

The dense blue flying swords and sword energy struck the crimson mist, causing it to twist and distort. Moments later, the mist abruptly tore open, and a shimmering blue great sword shot forward, stopping mere inches from the red-robed Taoist's head.

The red-robed Taoist broke out in a cold sweat, realizing that if Wang Lihe had intended to kill him, he would undoubtedly be dead.

Seeing this, the blue-robed youth and his companions swiftly flew closer.

"Fellow Daoist Liu, how about returning the Crimson Fire Crow to me?" Wang Lihe asked with a smile.

The red-robed Taoist swallowed, having no doubt that Wang Lihe would kill him if he refused.

"Quickly, return the Crimson Fire Crow to him, now," the red-robed elder urged, deeming it a minor matter.

The blue-robed youth promptly returned the Crimson Fire Crow to Wang Lihe. Wang Lihe then performed an incantation, causing the blue colossal sword to dissipate into three shimmering blue flying swords, which then returned to his sword sheath.

A deafening dragon roar echoed as a crimson flood dragon, over a hundred zhang long, flew in from the distance.

Soon, the crimson flood dragon halted, revealing a pot-bellied youth in a red shirt seated on its back.

The red-shirted youth had a round face, large eyes, and a noticeably distended belly, resembling a large ball.

This was Wang Gonghu, an early Soul Transformation stage spirit controller. The crimson flood dragon he rode was a fourth-tier flood dragon.

Wang Gonghu was a descendant of Wang Qingcheng. After Wang Changsheng returned from the lower realm, he brought back secret techniques for cultivating flood dragons. The Wang family had since cultivated numerous third and fourth-tier flood dragons, but they had yet to produce a fifth-tier one, as Wang Qingjing's success proved to be unreproducible.

A python's transformation into a flood dragon represents an evolution, achievable with sufficient resources. However, lineage is difficult to alter. The most effective method for the Wang family would be to acquire high-tier flood dragon essence blood; true dragon essence blood would be even more beneficial.

While demonic beasts were abundant in this sea region, fifth-tier flood dragons remained quite rare, and sixth-tier flood dragons were seldom seen in ten thousand years.

Wang Gonghu had enjoyed controlling insects and beasts since childhood, though his primary spirit beast was not the fourth-tier flood dragon he currently rode.

Upon seeing Wang Gonghu, the four red-robed Taoists immediately adopted wary expressions.

"Uncle Lihe, Aunt Lijiao, are you both alright?" Wang Gonghu asked, his gaze sweeping over the four red-robed Taoists.

"We're fine now. Let's head back!"

Wang Lihe leaped onto the crimson flood dragon's back, followed closely by Wang Lijiao.

With another deafening dragon roar, the crimson flood dragon turned and flew back the way it had come.

Soon after, the crimson flood dragon vanished into the horizon.

"Let's go! We should head back too!" The red-robed Taoist swept his long sleeve and led his companions away.

A little over half a month later, they returned to Qinglian Island, each to their own residences.

The crimson flood dragon carried Wang Gonghu to a large lake. He whistled, but there was no response.

"Is Venerable Qilin still sleeping? It's been over a hundred years; isn't it waking up yet?" Wang Gonghu mumbled to himself, noting that he had frequently fed the Qilin Turtle since childhood and continued to do so.

He lightly patted the crimson flood dragon beneath him, and it ascended into the sky.

It hadn't flown far when a deafening thunderclap rumbled from high above. Fierce winds whipped around, and a colossal thundercloud abruptly appeared in the sky.

Wang Gonghu seemed to sense something and commanded the crimson flood dragon to stop.

He turned to look behind him, where the Qilin Turtle had surfaced from the lake, letting out deep roars.

Thick bolts of lightning ripped across the sky, transforming the hundred-mile radius into a thunderous sea, an awe-inspiring sight.

"No clan member is permitted to approach Venerable Qilin's residence. Violators will face severe punishment." Wang Qingcheng's voice, full of gravitas, resonated from the horizon.

Wang Gonghu paused for a moment, then quickly directed the crimson flood dragon to move away.

Two streaks of light approached from the distance, revealing Wang Mengbin and Bai Yuqi.

Gazing at the thundercloud above, Wang Mengbin's eyes glowed with anticipation.

The Qilin Turtle was attempting to break through to the sixth tier, which was a positive development. Perhaps he could seize this opportunity to attract the Kui Water Divine Lightning.

Of course, the Qilin Turtle first needed to successfully overcome its thunder tribulation.

A deafening peal of thunder reverberated from the distance, and a colossal thundercloud appeared high in the sky.

"Which spirit beast is attempting to reach the sixth tier?" Bai Yuqi mused.

"It should be the spirit beast raised by the patriarch, the Double-Eyed Rat?" Wang Mengbin speculated. He was somewhat uncertain, as he wasn't fully familiar with the spirit beasts Wang Changsheng cultivated, though he knew the Double-Eyed Rat and the Qilin Turtle best.
