Chapter 2146: Ma Qianqian's Coercion

"Junior Brother Wang, hand over the Xuan Tian treasure to me. Your condition is very poor; you can't protect it. We are fellow disciples; it doesn't matter who takes the Xuan Tian treasure out."

Ma Qianqian's voice drifted from the sky. Clearly, she also feared Wang Ruyan's illusionary arts and dared not show herself, only following from a distance.

"Now you remember we are fellow disciples?" Wang Changsheng retorted scornfully, a cold smile on his face. "You just stood by idly while we struggled to repel the enemy. And now you're asking us to hand over the Xuan Tian treasure?"

Ma Qianqian's voice echoed from the sky: "Times have changed. It would be better if you handed over the Xuan Tian treasure. Junior Sister Wang's illusionary arts are indeed formidable, but your current condition is very poor. Don't be stubborn."

"If you like, just follow us!" Wang Changsheng sneered. "You've been heartless; don't blame me for being unjust." He put away his Qilin Turtle and the formation.

Wang Ruyan collected the treasures scattered on the ground and departed with Wang Changsheng.

A thousand miles away, Ma Qianqian and four other Nascent Soul cultivators gathered on a low hill. Ma Qianqian held a sparkling red crystal ball in her hand, her expression solemn.

"Senior Sister Ma, they've left. Should we follow them?" a slender young man in a green robe cautiously asked.

Their original plan was to watch the tigers fight, waiting for Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan to be killed by the enemy before seizing the Xuan Tian treasure. However, they hadn't anticipated that Wang Ruyan could use musical arts to cast illusions, causing the enemies to turn on each other, which disrupted their scheme.

Ma Qianqian frowned deeply. She had initially paid no mind to Wang Ruyan, who was only a mid-stage Nascent Soul cultivator and seemingly insignificant. Who would have thought Wang Ruyan could perform illusions through music?

"Do any of you have treasures or talismans that can counter musical attacks?" Ma Qianqian asked.

The four looked at each other. The young man in green robes took out a shimmering green talisman from his storage pouch, saying, "I have a Jiyuan Talisman that can weaken the power of musical attacks."

"Only one? That won't last long." Ma Qianqian frowned. Without a treasure to counter musical attacks, she simply dared not confront Wang Changsheng.

"How about we follow them? I refuse to believe they'd actually dare to attack us," the young man in green robes suggested.

"Exactly! That's a Xuan Tian treasure. If we get it out, we won't have to worry about resources to reach the Void Refinement stage. As long as we don't kill them, it won't violate sect rules; at most, it'll just be an unfair distribution."

Ma Qianqian was tempted. After a slight hesitation, she waved her hand and said, "Let's go, we're chasing them." The five of them transformed into five streaks of light and pursued.

At a turbulent river, a blue streak of light descended from the sky, landing on the bank. It was Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan.

"They're still following us. It seems they won't give up until they get the Xuan Tian treasure," Wang Changsheng said with a frown.

A cold glint flashed in Wang Ruyan's eyes. "Why don't we show them what we're capable of, make them realize the difficulty, and save them from thinking we're easy to bully—*cough, cough*." She coughed up a large mouthful of blood, her face growing even paler.

"If a real fight breaks out, it won't end well for anyone, regardless of who wins. Su Yuntao has probably not gone far," Wang Changsheng said, shaking his head and refusing. He released his Qilin Turtle, which floated on the river surface. Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan stood on the Qilin Turtle's back. A blue water barrier materialized out of thin air, protecting them. The Qilin Turtle then carried them downwards, disappearing into the rushing river.

A moment later, Ma Qianqian and the other four caught up.

"Water Evasion Technique?" Ma Qianqian frowned. She cultivated fire-element techniques, so pursuing Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan underwater would be quite difficult for her.

"I have a treasure, the Sea-Dividing Pearl, which should allow us to catch them," the young man in green robes said. He activated a light blue spherical pearl. He cast a spell, releasing a soft blue light that enveloped all of them, before they submerged into the river.

In a hidden underground cave, the stone walls glimmered with mysterious runes, clearly forming a formation. Su Yuntao sat cross-legged on the ground, his face pale, enveloped by a layer of red light.

"To possess such formidable divine abilities at the Nascent Soul stage... if they were to advance to the Integration stage, it would be even more incredible. Zhenhai Palace actually sent its successors into the Xuanling Cave, what a grand gesture," Su Yuntao muttered to himself. The divine abilities displayed by Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan were unique to Zhenhai Palace's core cultivation techniques. He mistakenly believed them to be Zhenhai Palace's successors.

Generally, a sect would have several extremely powerful cultivation techniques that are difficult to master and require significant cultivation resources. Once high-level cultivators are painstakingly nurtured, they are not easily sent to dangerous secret realms or forbidden lands.

Inside a cave obscured by countless green vines, Jin Huo stood to the side, his expression indifferent, holding a miniature Nascent Soul in his hand. The miniature Nascent Soul's face contorted in pain. Li Fengyang stood nearby, looking nervous.

"A Xuan Tian treasure! The Xuanling Cave actually produced such a treasure. What a pity it fell into the hands of Zhenhai Palace disciples," Jin Huo murmured to himself, his gaze solemn.

They had found a safe place to hide, but unexpectedly, a battle between two Nascent Soul cultivators destroyed his hiding spot. Jin Huo intervened, eliminated them, and then soul-searched them, uncovering an astonishing secret.

"A Xuan Tian treasure? No way!" Li Fengyang exclaimed.

"There should be no mistake. Unfortunately, it was taken by a Zhenhai Palace disciple," Jin Huo said in a deep voice, a look of interest appearing on his face.

"Fellow Daoist Jin, perhaps we shouldn't covet this item! What if..." Li Fengyang said cautiously, but before he could finish, Jin Huo gave him a cold look, making him shiver and close his mouth.

"I'm not that foolish. With my current strength, I can't possibly seize this item," Jin Huo said with a cold face. He had initially been somewhat interested, but when he learned through soul-searching that Xuanyin was instantly captured by a human cultivator, he abandoned the idea. Humans are proficient in artifact refining, formation arrays, and alchemy; they have too many tricks. It's better not to take risks.

Once he safely leaves the Xuanling Cave, he will report to the elders. The fact that humans obtained a Xuan Tian treasure will change the situation on the Xuanling Continent. The Spiritfire Clan must unite with other races to seize this Xuan Tian treasure, or, if that's impossible, destroy it.

Li Fengyang breathed a long sigh of relief. He had truly worried that Jin Huo would be blinded by greed and ask him to join in fighting the humans.

"You can report this news to your Li family elders. As for my existence, don't mention it unless you want to die. If forces like Zhenhai Palace learn that you killed their disciples, even if they don't pursue it, will the relatives and friends of the cultivators you killed let you off?" Jin Huo said with a half-smile. He had forced Li Fengyang to kill several Nascent Soul cultivators and recorded the entire process. The reason he didn't implant a restriction was mainly to avoid detection by high-level cultivators.

"Rest assured, Fellow Daoist Jin, I know what to do. What about what you promised me?" Li Fengyang asked, his expression tense.

Jin Huo took out a green storage ring and tossed it to Li Fengyang, saying, "With these items, as long as you're not completely useless, you should be able to advance to the Void Refinement stage."

"Many thanks, Fellow Daoist Jin," Li Fengyang profusely thanked him and agreed.
