Liu Wuya immediately realized that Chen Tiandao likely held a grudge against the Four Seasons Sword Sovereign. However, he recalled that the Four Seasons Sword Sovereign was a figure from over four millennia ago, and Soul Transformation cultivators typically lived for only about two thousand years. The Four Seasons Sword Sovereign was certainly no longer in the East Hedge Realm. Chen Tiandao's intense interest in him was likely due to apprehension.

Chen Tiandao's figure flickered, instantly appearing before Liu Wuya. "Don't resist," he said in a deep voice. "I'm going to perform a soul search on you. If I discover even the slightest lie, I'll send you on your way immediately." Liu Wuya was startled, silently cursing the "old monster," but dared not resist.

A dazzling crimson light flared from Chen Tiandao's right hand as he placed it on Liu Wuya's head. Liu Wuya's face twisted in agony, but he dared not make a sound. After a moment, Chen Tiandao withdrew his hand, a look of satisfaction on his face.

"You haven't lied. I appreciate that. Lead us out of this place, and we won't treat you unfairly. But if we catch you playing any tricks, we'll send you to your death immediately." After delivering this warning, Chen Tiandao opened his mouth and expelled a streak of crimson light, which disappeared into Liu Wuya's dantian.
