Chapter 2007: Ten Years, Great Increase in Spiritual Awareness

In the Xuanyang Realm, on the Xuanling Continent, a secret chamber was located on Xuanying Island.

Wang Changsheng sat cross-legged on a meditation cushion, his eyes tightly shut, his features slightly contorted, and his body enveloped in a soft silver spiritual glow. After a moment, he opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing within them.

"I've finally mastered the first three levels," Wang Changsheng muttered to himself, his expression excited. He had spent ten years successfully cultivating the first three levels of the *Grand Void Divine Forging Art*, dedicating several years solely to comprehension. He expected the higher levels of the *Grand Void Divine Forging Art* to be even more challenging. After mastering these levels, Wang Changsheng's divine sense had significantly increased; he estimated it was comparable to that of a cultivator at Spirit Transformation Perfection. He wondered how Wang Ruyan was doing.

He had mastered a secret divine sense technique called the "Divine Suppressing Roar," which specifically targeted an enemy's Sea of Consciousness. If the cultivation difference was significant, the Divine Suppressing Roar could tear apart an enemy's Sea of Consciousness, leading to instant death. The Divine Suppressing Roar bore similarities to the Divine Splitting Thorn, but with key differences. The more profound the caster's magical power and the stronger their divine sense, the greater the power of the Divine Suppressing Roar. In contrast, the Divine Splitting Thorn's power primarily depended on the caster's divine sense. Additionally, the Divine Splitting Thorn targeted individuals, while the Divine Suppressing Roar was a wide-area destructive ability, effective against groups. This divine ability could serve as a trump card, playing a crucial role when deployed. Treasures or secret techniques capable of resisting divine sense attacks were extremely rare, countable on one's fingers. If both he and Wang Ruyan cultivated to the late Spirit Transformation stage, and their divine senses combined to unleash this secret technique, even Void Refinement cultivators might be affected.

Wang Changsheng stood up and walked out. Wang Ruyan was still in seclusion. Stepping out of his residence, a green garden came into view. Various roses were budding, several peach trees were in full bloom, and a pebble path wound through the center of the courtyard, flanked by lush grass. Sensing something, he flicked his wrist, and a blue light flew out from his spirit beast bracelet—it was Lin Gui.

Lin Gui had grown considerably larger but remained a Mid-grade Fourth-tier spirit beast. Its potential was great, yet its advancement speed was not fast. The Dual-Eyed Rat, Gold-Devouring Ant Queen, and Wood Spirit had all reached Upper-grade Fourth-tier, and it wouldn't be easy for them to advance to the Fifth-tier. Deep within enemy territory, Wang Changsheng had kept Lin Gui in his spirit beast bracelet to avoid unnecessary trouble. Lin Gui let out a low growl, seemingly asking Wang Changsheng for something. Wang Changsheng understood Lin Gui's intention and instructed, "Go play for now! I'll have someone find you something to eat." Lin Gui seemed to understand Wang Changsheng's words, and its body radiated blue light before disappearing. The manor was protected by a formation, so there was no worry about Lin Gui running off.

Wang Changsheng deactivated the restrictions, leaped out, and spread his divine sense wide. Except for certain cave dwellings and courtyards protected by powerful restrictions, everywhere else was revealed, fully within Wang Changsheng's perception. He found a vast spiritual field where numerous golden grasses grew. The leaves of these golden grasses were oval-shaped, entirely golden, as if crafted from shimmering gold flakes.

Jiang Qingfeng rapidly formed hand seals, his hands enveloped in a dazzling green light. After a moment, he changed his hand seals, and a pale green light orb appeared in his palm. The green orb continuously expanded, and Jiang Qingfeng's face progressively paled. Ten breaths later, a millstone-sized green light orb floated in Jiang Qingfeng's palm. With a slight flick of his wrist, the green orb shot out, exploding like fireworks into countless tiny green lights that sprinkled over the spiritual field. The tiny green lights flowed into the golden grasses, making their color significantly brighter. Jiang Qingfeng let out a long breath and wiped the sweat from his face.

"A Nascent Soul stage spiritual planter! That's quite rare," a slightly surprised male voice sounded. Jiang Qingfeng looked up to see a tall young man in blue robes, who had appeared above the spiritual field at some unknown time. It was Wang Changsheng. "This junior greets Senior Jiao. How may I be of service?" Jiang Qingfeng asked cautiously, his heart filled with apprehension. Non-human races were notoriously unpredictable; accidentally offending one could lead to a deadly disaster. Even Feng Yao showed great respect to Wang Changsheng and dared not be negligent, let alone Jiang Qingfeng. Over the years, he had encountered many non-human races and knew well that they were difficult to deal with.

"Father, the Xuanyang Flowers are growing well; I've checked them all," a clear, bell-like female voice suddenly rang out. A beautiful young girl in a blue dress walked out from the side courtyard, a wide smile on her face. It was Jiang Qingfeng's only daughter, Jiang Yulin. Wang Changsheng shifted his gaze to the girl in the blue dress. When the girl saw Wang Changsheng, a hint of fear appeared in her beautiful eyes, and the smile on her face froze. Jiang Qingfeng's figure flickered, positioning himself in front of Jiang Yulin. "Senior, my daughter is young and ignorant. If she has offended you, please forgive her," Jiang Qingfeng said nervously; the power gap was too vast for him to afford to offend. Jiang Yulin quickly pleaded for mercy, her expression anxious. Over the years, she had personally witnessed many female cultivators being tortured and killed by non-human races, making her both hate and fear them.

"Do you have any live prey here? I want live ones, preferably water-attribute demonic beasts," Wang Changsheng asked. "Live prey? Senior, please wait a moment; I will send some to you later." Jiang Qingfeng quickly agreed, thinking to himself, "As expected, he's from a non-human race. I hope he won't get angry out of embarrassment." "Are you humans? How did you end up here?" Wang Changsheng asked casually. Jiang Qingfeng showed a troubled expression. Of course, they hadn't come to Xuanying Island voluntarily; they had been captured by Feng Yao's people. But he dared not voice such a truth.

"I had them captured. They have some talent in cultivation. Is Brother Jiao interested in them?" A hearty male voice suddenly rang out. No sooner had the words fallen than a gust of wind swept by, and Feng Yao suddenly appeared near Wang Changsheng, a wide smile on his face. "Human spiritual planters are indeed formidable, skilled at cultivating spiritual herbs and fruits. Fellow Daoist Feng is truly fortunate," Wang Changsheng replied politely. "You're too kind, Fellow Daoist Jiao. You want spiritual planters? That's easy. I'll have a few captured for you, though they won't compare to Jiang Qingfeng. He's a disciple of the Five-Element Sect, proficient in cultivation techniques. Technically, he's even the grand-disciple of Wuxingzi!" Feng Yao explained. "That's too much trouble. I appreciate your kind offer, Fellow Daoist Feng," Wang Changsheng politely declined. He had only intended to inquire about Jiang Qingfeng's background, not expecting him to be from the Five-Element Sect. The Five-Element Sect had already been destroyed; Jiang Qingfeng was likely unaware.

"If it's too much trouble, then buy them! I know a fellow Daoist Yuan who has connections. As long as you're willing to pay spirit stones, you can buy human cultivators at the Spirit Transformation stage. Spirit Transformation stage spiritual planters are harder to come by; I was just lucky," Feng Yao explained. Wang Changsheng shook his head and said, "Fellow Daoist Feng, you jest. We are traveling outside; we have no interest in bringing along baggage." His current identity was that of a traveling Merman from the Mermaid clan, and taking a Nascent Soul stage human would clearly be a burden.
