Upon reaching the third floor, Wang Changsheng saw over ten Deity Transformation cultivators. They were seated in different areas, most of them alone.
The two Long family disciples he had met earlier were also present. Seeing Wang Changsheng, the young man in the golden robe stood up, cupped his fists, and said, "I am Long Ziyun, and this is my younger sister, Long Ziyue. How should I address you, fellow Daoist?"
"Huang Fugui," Wang Changsheng blurted out, figuring no one in the Xuanyang Realm would recognize that name.
"Huang Fugui! Fellow Daoist, your name is simple and easy to remember, much more interesting than this old man's name," a slightly hunched old man in a green robe chuckled. The old man had a slightly pale complexion, a thin build, and a goatee, giving him a sickly appearance.
"I am Wu Yong," the old man in green then introduced himself.
"So it's Fellow Daoist Wu," Wang Changsheng said, cupping his fists in return. He then found an empty table and sat down.
More Deity Transformation cultivators arrived one after another, with cultivation levels ranging from early Deity Transformation to Grand Completion. Each found a spot to sit.
A quarter of an hour later, Li Yanchuan ascended, accompanied by two women with identical features. One wore a blue ruqun, while the other wore a purple folded skirt.
Both of their sleeves were embroidered with a miniature green tree, which seemed to signify something.
"The Xuanqing Twin Jades," Wang Changsheng murmured, recognizing the two women. They were from the Xuanqing Sect, one of the two major sects, with a lineage even older than Zhenhai Palace. Xuanqingzi, one of humanity's Mahayana cultivators, had come from the Xuanqing Sect. These twin sisters possessed unique cultivation techniques, allowing them to perform combined attack techniques, and were known to the outside world as the "Xuanqing Twin Jades."
"Fairy Fang, which one of you is the older sister and which is the younger? I can't quite tell," Long Ziyun said with a wry smile, noting their indistinguishable figures and facial features.
"I am the elder sister, Fang Yuyan, and she is the younger sister, Fang Yufei," the maiden in the blue dress explained with a smile.
The three of them found an empty table and sat down, right beside Wang Changsheng.
Li Yanchuan chatted casually with the Fang sisters, paying no mind to the other cultivators.
After a while, no more cultivators arrived.
"Fellow Daoist Long, it seems no one else is coming, right? Let's begin!" Wu Yong urged.
"Please wait a moment, Fellow Daoist Wu, there's still one more," Long Ziyun politely replied.
Just then, light footsteps echoed, and a nine-foot-tall burly man in a blue shirt walked up. A terrifying scar marred the left side of his face. He carried a long saber on his back, its scabbard wrapped in coarse cloth. His eyes were as sharp as blades, and his face was covered in a dense beard. A thick aura of malevolence emanated from him. Judging by his spiritual power fluctuations, he was clearly a Grand Completion Deity Transformation cultivator.
"Blood Saber, weren't you being hunted by over a dozen fifth-tier demon beasts? You've been missing for so long, I thought you were dead!" Wu Yong said with some surprise, his eyes filled with apprehension.
"I wouldn't die even if you did. They were just a dozen fifth-tier demon beasts; if I couldn't beat them, couldn't I just run?" the burly man in blue said dismissively, his tone cold.
"Blood Saber!" Wang Changsheng had heard of this person: Revered Blood Saber, Su Yunfeng. He was a rogue cultivator who had somehow obtained an inheritance in saber techniques, carving out a name for himself with just one man and one saber. However, he was notoriously reclusive and idiosyncratic, blurring the lines between good and evil, acting entirely on a whim.
"Alright, everyone is here. Let's enjoy some tea and chat!" Long Ziyun said, gesturing for them to sit. Long Ziyue then took out an exquisite tea set and a green tea caddy, brewing tea on the spot.
Wang Changsheng noticed that the tea leaves were blood-red.
Soon, a rich, exotic aroma wafted through the air.
Wang Changsheng took a light sniff and felt his body warm slightly, his spirit invigorated.
"Fairy Long, this must be your Long family's exclusive Spirit Tea, Blood Dragon Tea, right? I heard this spirit tea can strengthen qi and blood, and it has healing properties for cultivators with severe qi and blood loss," Fang Yufei asked curiously.
"Blood Dragon Tea can indeed strengthen qi and blood and be used for healing, though elixirs are generally more effective," Long Ziyue explained with a warm smile. "This tea is best suited for body cultivators, as regular consumption can strengthen the physical body. Drinking a small amount doesn't have a significant effect. Blood Dragon Tea can only be harvested once every thousand years. We managed to acquire some, and specifically brought it here for all of you to taste."
There were over twenty Deity Transformation cultivators present; each received a cup of the blood-red Blood Dragon Tea.
Wang Changsheng took a small sip. As soon as the tea entered his stomach, a wave of heat surged in his abdomen. Immediately after, his entire body felt hot, and the qi and blood within him seemed to boil.
"Excellent, what good tea," Wang Changsheng exclaimed as he drained the cup. His whole body tingled, his face flushed crimson, and his skin turned blood-red, with veins clearly visible beneath the surface.
Su Yunfeng simply finished his Blood Dragon Tea without a word.
After a short while, the cultivators gradually returned to normal.
The cultivators began to chat, discussing everything from recent events in the Xuanyang Realm to various secrets of the cultivation world.
"Fellow Daoist Li, I heard your Zhenhai Palace elders are refining a major treasure. Has it been completed?" Long Ziyun asked curiously, adding, "Zhenhai Palace has been aggressively acquiring Five-Element materials, and high-level artifact refiners haven't shown themselves for several years. It's clear they are refining a heavy treasure."
"I wouldn't know; I merely assist," Li Yanchuan said, shaking his head. His tone then shifted as he added, "I heard your Long family has cultivated a sixth-tier Flood Dragon. Is there any truth to that?"
Long Ziyun chuckled lightly and said, "Fellow Daoist Li, you jest. How could a sixth-tier Flood Dragon be so easily cultivated? Since everyone is here, let's exchange some items!"
He took out over twenty types of materials: demon cores, demon beast materials, ores, spirit beast eggs, elixirs, spirit herbs, talismans, and so on.
"This is a Flood Dragon Turtle's spirit beast egg, which will hatch at the second tier," Long Ziyun introduced. "These materials are for exchange for items of equivalent value."
Wang Changsheng didn't have many items he could offer for exchange. While Long Ziyun had brought out a good number of items, there was nothing that particularly caught his interest.
This was not surprising. To acquire valuable items, one must offer valuable items in return.
"Fellow Daoist Long, with your standing, it shouldn't be difficult to produce a few Qianling Pills, should it?" Li Yanchuan frowned and asked. Qianling Pills are fifth-tier elixirs beneficial for spirit beast advancement.
Long Ziyun pondered for a moment, then took out a green jade box. He opened it to reveal three pale-gold pills, emitting an unusual fragrance.
"At the last exchange event, Fellow Daoist Long brought out ten Qianling Pills. Why only three this time?" Li Yanchuan asked, puzzled.
Long Ziyun let out a dry laugh and explained, "Due to the impact on raw materials, we can't produce many Qianling Pills at the moment, so we only have three to offer."
Li Yanchuan pondered for a moment, then took out a green jade box and handed it to Long Ziyun.
Long Ziyun opened the lid, quickly glanced inside, then closed it again, and handed Li Yanchuan one Qianling Pill.
Other cultivators also took out items for Long Ziyun to examine, intending to trade.
Most of the items Long Ziyun had brought were exchanged. All three Qianling Pills were traded, ending up in the hands of Li Yanchuan and the Fang sisters.
Other cultivators then successively took out their items to display, stating what they wished to exchange for.
