Chapter 1886: Blood Blade Sect and Huang Fugui's Whereabouts

"Fellow Daoist Shangguan, have the formation flags been repaired?" Wang Changsheng asked directly.

Sun Hao shook his sleeve, and several glowing formation flags flew out, landing in front of Wang Changsheng.

"They have been repaired. The materials for these flags are unusual, and I couldn't find identical ones. I used some substitute materials, so the formation's power will be slightly diminished." Sun Hao stated truthfully. It was impossible for the repaired formation flags to be exactly like the original ones. Fortunately, they were not the main flags, so it was not a significant issue.

Wang Changsheng carefully examined the flags, and after confirming there were no problems, he put them away. He then said to Shangguan Tianhong, "Fellow Daoist Shangguan, please bring out the vessel containing the Underworld Moon Water!"

Shangguan Tianhong raised his right hand, and the Golden Tortoise Cauldron flew out, landing in front of Wang Changsheng.

Wang Changsheng put away the Golden Tortoise Cauldron, and ripples spread through the air. Countless blue mists surged out, forming a vast azure ocean. The azure ocean churned violently, raising towering waves that transformed into thick blue water screens, enveloping Wang Changsheng.

Shangguan Tianhong's expression remained calm. He could tell that Wang Changsheng did not want him to see the treasure holding the Underworld Moon Water, indicating it was likely a significant artifact.

Ten breaths later, the thick water screens dispersed, revealing Wang Changsheng.

Shangguan Tianhong chanted a spell, and the Golden Tortoise Cauldron transformed into a streak of light, flying towards him.

"Oh, so much Underworld Moon Water? Does Fellow Daoist Wang have another request?" Shangguan Tianhong narrowed his eyes, asking in a deep voice. The amount of Underworld Moon Water Wang Changsheng provided was far more than agreed upon, which puzzled him. He did not believe Wang Changsheng would be so generous without a motive.

"We would like to examine your sect's ancient texts. Don't worry, we won't look at cultivation technique scrolls," Wang Changsheng said sincerely. As the Tianlan Sect unified the Tianlan Realm, its scripture collection was quite comprehensive, eliminating the need to search elsewhere.

"No problem, Junior Sister Situ, please take Fellow Daoist Wang and his companion there!" Shangguan Tianhong instructed Situ Qing. He didn't care what ancient texts Wang Changsheng wanted to see.

Situ Qing acknowledged the order and led Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan.

Half an hour later, the three appeared before a giant, glittering blue tower. The words "Tianlan" were carved in gold on its body.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, Madam Wang, the topmost floor contains our Tianlan Sect's most treasured cultivation techniques and secret manuals. You are free to examine the texts on all other floors except the last one," Situ Qing said politely, gesturing for them to enter.

Wang Changsheng nodded and walked in with Wang Ruyan, unafraid of any tricks Situ Qing might play.

Situ Qing did not stay to monitor Wang Changsheng; she turned and left.

Two days later, Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan emerged from the Tianlan Tower, their expressions calm. They had examined a vast number of ancient texts but found no records concerning the demon beast skeleton at the bottom of the Myriad Thunder Sea. Even after consulting texts on rare birds and strange beasts, there was no relevant literature about the skeleton.

However, they unexpectedly found a record about the Four Seasons Sword Venerable. Two thousand years ago, a Nascent Soul cultivator from the Icy Sea Realm came to the Tianlan Realm and accidentally ventured into the Myriad Thunder Sea, dying under a restriction. The Tianlan Sect cultivators obtained his possessions, finding several jade slips among them. One jade slip described the situation in the Icy Sea Realm.

The Icy Sea Realm was similar to the South Sea, consisting mostly of oceans and islands with no large landmasses. Major forces often fought over cultivation resources, with the Ximen Family and the Blood Blade Sect being the strongest. The Four Seasons Sword Venerable had once visited the Icy Sea Realm and, using great divine abilities, annihilated the Grand Elder of the then-dominant Blood Blade Sect. The Blood Blade Sect subsequently declined, and the Ximen Family seized the opportunity to destroy them, unifying more than half of the Icy Sea Realm and becoming its foremost cultivation family. Of course, this information was over two thousand years old, and Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan were unsure of the Icy Sea Realm's current state.

"The Four Seasons Sword Venerable really gets around, never staying put," Wang Ruyan said with a light chuckle.

Wang Changsheng nodded, speaking with a tone of regret, "Indeed! I wonder if he ascended to the Spirit Realm. It would be a great pity for such a figure to die of old age in the lower realm." Regardless of where he was, the Four Seasons Sword Venerable was always revered.

Situ Qing flew over from a distance and landed in front of them.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, it's rare for you to visit. Why not stay at our Tianlan Sect for a while longer?" Situ Qing said sincerely.

"Thank you for your kind offer, Fellow Daoist Situ. We have other matters to attend to and will visit again when we have time," Wang Changsheng politely declined. They didn't have much time to waste; they needed to rush to the Thousand Gourd Realm to see if they could rescue Wang Qingshan. Additionally, they had to move the Xuan Tian Immortal Vine, which was an unusual item, and Wang Changsheng dared not handle it lightly.

"Very well! Then I won't insist." Situ Qing personally saw Wang Changsheng and Wang Ruyan off.

Thousand Gourd Realm, Immortal Burial Cavern.

In a hidden underground cavern, Huang Fugui was frantically attacking a white stone door. His face was pale, and his expression was agitated. He and a friend were searching for treasure when they accidentally triggered a restriction, trapping Huang Fugui. After being trapped for decades, he finally escaped and unexpectedly discovered an ancient cultivator's cave dwelling. It was truly a case of finding what he sought without effort.

Rumbling!

With a deafening roar, the white stone door shattered into pieces, and an underground cavern about an acre in size suddenly appeared before him. Inside the cavern was a formation hundreds of feet in size, covered with enigmatic runes. There were hundreds of equally sized grooves. On the stone wall behind the formation hung a cyan scroll painting depicting a burly young man in a blue shirt. The young man carried a long sword on his back and sat on a demon beast resembling a qilin, gazing into the distance.

"Is this a teleportation array?" Huang Fugui paused, carefully examining his surroundings, but found nothing else.

"Could it be an inter-realm teleportation array? Does it require so many spirit stones? Could it be a teleportation array back to the East Sea Realm?" Huang Fugui muttered to himself. He had seen large teleportation arrays, but the scale of the one before him surpassed any he had ever encountered.

Just then, a deafening beast roar sounded. Huang Fugui's divine sense detected a powerful aura rapidly approaching him.

"I'll risk it. I hope my luck isn't too bad this time, and I don't get teleported to some dangerous place," Huang Fugui prayed. He shook his sleeve, and a gust of wind swept through, sending all the discarded spirit stones flying out of the grooves. He replaced them with new ones, jumped onto the teleportation array, and activated a spell. The runes on the array immediately glowed brightly and began to shake violently.

A strange beast resembling a qilin emerged from the stone wall. The beast had a single yellow horn on its head and its entire body was covered in dense yellow scales. Its appearance closely matched the demon beast in the scroll painting.

After a dizzying sensation, Huang Fugui felt his body rapidly descending, as if he were falling somewhere. He chanted a spell, and a dazzling yellow light emanated from his body, allowing him to steady himself. He was surprised to find himself above a boundless sea, with white clouds drifting by and a constant sea breeze. The seawater churned violently.

"Is this the South Sea?" Huang Fugui murmured to himself, his gaze filled with uncertainty.

After a brief thought, he transformed into a yellow streak of light and flew towards the sky. Regardless of where he was, as long as he was alive, it was all the same.
