Chapter 1454: Entering the Burial Immortal Sea Area

On a deserted island, Huang Fugui sat cross-legged on an earthen mound, gazing at the distant horizon. If he could eliminate Zhou Sihong, it would naturally be a great achievement, earning him at least several million spirit stones. Even if he couldn't kill Zhou Sihong, Huang Fugui would still gain credit. His only worry was that Zhou Sihong might have already left the Immortal Burial Sea.

Just then, a blue streak of light cut across the sky, flying rapidly towards their location.

"Someone's coming," Huang Fugui murmured, "It looks like True Monarch Taihao." He was overjoyed. To demonstrate his nobility, he had concocted a lie, claiming that Wang Changsheng had persuaded him to help search for Zhou Sihong. Otherwise, who would believe him if he just said he coincidentally ran into Zhou Sihong? True Monarch Taihao had a considerable reputation in the South Sea, so fabricating this lie made it more credible. Furthermore, Huang Fugui also wanted to seize this opportunity to ask Wang Changsheng for some favors. Once this matter was resolved, he could peacefully seclude himself for a century to focus on cultivation. Thinking of this, Huang Fugui's mood became incredibly excited.

Hearing the words "True Monarch Taihao," Li Tianyang and the others looked up towards the sky. Before long, the blue light stopped above the deserted island, revealing a blue sword-light over ten zhang long. Wang Changsheng and Dai Ren stood atop it.

Upon seeing Wang Changsheng, Huang Fugui's eyes lit up. He immediately flew over to Wang Changsheng and said earnestly, "Fellow Daoist Wang, I have not failed your expectations. I endured so much hardship, nearly dying in the Ten Thousand Ghost Sea, but I finally found Zhou Sihong."

Wang Changsheng understood the implication, nodded, and said, "Fellow Daoist Huang, you have suffered greatly for the cultivators of the South Sea."

"No hardship at all, no hardship," Huang Fugui replied, wearing a righteous expression. "This is merely my duty. I assure you, I'm not doing this for the fifty million spirit stone bounty. For us cultivators, what is a little suffering for the sake of the people? Even if it means being torn to pieces, as long as Zhou Sihong is eliminated, I will not hesitate."

Wang Changsheng was inwardly amused and exasperated. Huang Fugui's words couldn't have been phonier, and the man didn't show the slightest hint of embarrassment.

"Alright, Fellow Daoist Wang, Fellow Daoist Dai, you've worked hard," Li Tianyang said in a deep voice. "Once the demon cultivators arrive, we'll proceed."

Wang Changsheng and Dai Ren landed on the deserted island. Wang Changsheng's gaze swept over the other Nascent Soul cultivators. Three of them particularly caught his attention: a tall, dark-skinned man in a black robe with bulging muscles and a small, glimmering black axe tucked into his waist; a fair-faced, corpulent man in a red robe, his waist rolls stacked one upon another, even fatter than Huang Fugui; and finally, a middle-aged man with refined features, bright eyes, a thick, curly beard, and a flushed face, exuding a strong scent of alcohol.

"Fellow Daoist Wang, let me introduce you," Li Tianyang said, indicating the three. "These three fellow daoists are True Monarch Heiyang, True Monarch Huoyang, and Immortal of Wine." True Monarch Heiyang and True Monarch Huoyang were both at the early Nascent Soul stage, originating from the Nine Yang Sect and Ten Thousand Flames Palace, respectively. Immortal of Wine, however, was a mid-Nascent Soul stage rogue cultivator who enjoyed drinking.

Wang Changsheng cupped his hands and politely said, "I am Wang Changsheng. It's a pleasure to meet you three fellow daoists."

"You're too kind, Fellow Daoist Wang," True Monarch Huoyang said enthusiastically, his layers of fat jiggling as if they might fall off at any moment. "I've long heard of True Monarch Taihao. It's truly an honor to meet you today. If we manage to return alive, we must definitely have a sparring match." True Monarch Heiyang merely nodded. Immortal of Wine, holding a red gourd, simply poured wine into his mouth without speaking.

Wang Changsheng smiled and agreed, then asked curiously, "By the way, Fellow Daoist Li, wasn't it said that the Grand Elder of Divine Armament Palace would lead the group? Where is he?"

"Divine Armament Palace is quite far from here," Li Tianyang replied. "He should be arriving soon."

No sooner had Li Tianyang spoken than a mass of crimson firelight appeared high in the sky, swiftly approaching. Simultaneously, a deafening dragon roar echoed from above, and a streak of green light and a streak of white light appeared on the horizon. Shortly after, the crimson firelight landed on the deserted island, revealing a ruddy-faced old man in a red robe. He stood atop a gleaming red wheel, its surface enveloped in crimson flames. The red-robed elder's countenance was dignified, and every movement he made exuded the aura of a high-ranking authority. He was Qian Tianming, the Grand Elder of Divine Armament Palace, a Grand Cultivator of the late Nascent Soul stage.

The green and white lights landed on the deserted island. As their escape lights dissipated, Ao Qing and Shi Hou were revealed. Upon seeing Ao Qing, all the cultivators present were shocked. However, they soon understood that Ao Qing was here for the Heaven-Reaching Spirit Treasure. If there weren't so few Nascent Soul-stage body cultivators among humans, they wouldn't have sought aid from the demon race. If he acquired that Heaven-Reaching Spirit Treasure, Ao Qing's strength would significantly increase. Furthermore, if conflicts erupted between the demon and human races in the future, the demon race would gain a considerable advantage with such a treasure.

Qian Tianming looked at Huang Fugui and said in a deep voice, "Fellow Daoist Huang, please tell us about your encounter with Zhou Sihong. We are not very familiar with the details." The Ten Thousand Swords Sect had briefly recounted Huang Fugui's encounter with Zhou Sihong, but since Huang Fugui, the one involved, was present, it was most fitting to question him directly. Huang Fugui recounted everything in detail, and naturally, he embellished his own role once again.

"Fellow Daoist Qian," Ao Qing frowned and said, "Can the Demon-Seeking Compass really pinpoint Zhou Sihong's whereabouts? The Immortal Burial Sea is vast, and there are natural magnetic fields here. If we can't lock down Zhou Sihong's position, we might spend a hundred years and still not find him." Ao Qing would not have ventured into the Immortal Burial Sea if it weren't for the Heaven-Reaching Spirit Treasure in Zhou Sihong's possession.

"This old man has refined three disposable magic treasures using Zhou Sihong's essence blood," Qian Tianming urged. "Combined with the Demon-Seeking Compass, finding Zhou Sihong won't be an issue. Let's make it a swift battle! The longer we delay, the faster Zhou Sihong recovers, and the harder it will be to kill him." He added that for this mission to eliminate Zhou Sihong, Divine Armament Palace had brought out two of its sect-guarding treasures. Among the ten major sects of the South Sea, Divine Armament Palace possessed the most sect-guarding treasures, and their power ranked among the foremost. Qian Tianming was determined to obtain the Blood Demon Blade.

Wang Changsheng was also interested in the Blood Demon Blade, but he clearly understood it was beyond his reach. As long as he helped the others eliminate Zhou Sihong, that would be enough. One should know one's place.

Hearing this, Ao Qing nodded and said, "I agree. Let's depart quickly then!"

Qian Tianming put away his crimson circular wheel and conjured a light-silver jade shuttle, bathed in fluctuating iridescent light. The moment the silver jade shuttle appeared, a powerful gravitational force suddenly emerged within a hundred-zhang radius. "This Silver Moon Shuttle has a small piece of Magnetic Origin Stone refined into it," Qian Tianming explained simply. "It's less affected by natural magnetic fields, so our travel speed will be faster using it." He then jumped onto it first, followed by Wang Changsheng and the others. With a flash of silver light, the Silver Moon Shuttle transformed into a silver streak and flew deeper into the Immortal Burial Sea. Before long, they vanished from sight.

"Pass down the order," Li Tianyang said in a deep voice, "Seal off the Immortal Burial Sea and prevent Zhou Sihong from leaving." More accurately, it was to prevent Ao Qing from snatching the Blood Demon Blade, rather than merely preventing Zhou Sihong's escape.
