Chapter 1222: Fire Cloud Scatterer

That's what I was thinking too. If the chance arises, I'll test some of my newly refined magical artifacts on him.

A murderous glint flashed in Fairy Ziyue's beautiful eyes. Her personal strength wasn't formidable, but fortunately, she had a special skill. Over the years, besides cultivation, she had dedicated considerable effort to refining magical artifacts.

After a brief chat, the two returned to their respective rooms to rest.

Wang Changsheng flicked his wrist, and the Qilin Tortoise flew out from his spirit beast bead, landing in front of him. He flipped his palm, and a piece of purple ore appeared in his hand. He clenched his five fingers and squeezed firmly; the purple crystal shattered instantly, and an egg-sized black iron block fell out.

The black iron block looked unremarkable and emitted faint wisps of steam. It was surprisingly light, as if it were made of thin paper.

"This is Sea Moon Gold!"

A hint of surprise flashed in Wang Changsheng's eyes, followed by a touch of joy. Sea Moon Gold originates from ten thousand fathoms beneath the sea, serving as a refining material for both gold and water elements. Its texture is very light, but once spiritual power is infused, it becomes incredibly heavy, weighing tens of thousands of pounds. Wang Qingshan had previously brought back a piece of Sea Moon Gold from the Eastern Barren Lands. With this new piece, Wang Changsheng could now refine a water-element offensive magical artifact.

The Sea-Stabilizing Pearl was a set of artifacts primarily used for bludgeoning. Wang Changsheng had long wanted to refine a long blade artifact for close-quarters combat. Sea Moon Gold could be used to craft the hilt of a blade, allowing it to bludgeon up close and slash from a distance.

Wang Changsheng put away the Sea Moon Gold. The Qilin Tortoise let out several strange growls, seemingly asking for credit from Wang Changsheng. This piece of Sea Moon Gold had been enveloped by purple crystal ore. Had it not been for the Qilin Tortoise, Wang Changsheng truly wouldn't have discovered it. From this, it was clear that the Qilin Tortoise's bloodline was indeed extraordinary, to be able to detect the presence of Sea Moon Gold.

Wang Changsheng took out five pale blue fruits and fed them to the Qilin Tortoise. After eating the fruits, the Qilin Tortoise played with Wang Changsheng. It occasionally cast water shadow illusions, and at other times, it spat out divine water lightning, striking the restrictions. Wang Changsheng let it have its way. If the Qilin Tortoise could be cultivated to a high rank, it would certainly provide him with more assistance.

In a certain secret chamber, two Yellow Dragon Island disciples were reporting to Yuan Gang.

"Spend more time, and see if you can find any disciples of the Qinglian Wang family. Do not alarm True Monarch Taihao," Yuan Gang instructed in a deep voice. He hadn't expected to encounter Wang Changsheng here; if there was an opportunity, he wouldn't hesitate to eliminate him. The two parties had a blood feud, and if the Wang family grew stronger, they would surely seek revenge. If the Wang family wasn't so far from Yellow Dragon Island, the two forces would have already clashed. If the chance arose, Yuan Gang wouldn't mind eliminating Wang Changsheng.

"Yes, Martial Uncle Yuan," the two Yellow Dragon Island disciples readily agreed.

At dusk, the sky darkened. Divine Weapon Island was brightly lit, and the streets were bustling with people. A pavilion of green bricks and glazed tiles stood, with a gilded plaque bearing the three silver characters "Sun Moon Tower." Two Foundation Establishment cultivators guarded the entrance. Wang Changsheng and Fairy Ziyue stood at the entrance of the Sun Moon Tower. They exchanged a glance and then stepped inside.

Upon reaching the third floor, they saw five Nascent Soul cultivators. True Monarch Wan Gu had not yet arrived. Wang Changsheng and Fairy Ziyue found an empty table and sat down. They didn't recognize anyone else and had no intention of striking up a conversation.

As time passed, more Nascent Soul cultivators gradually arrived. These Nascent Soul cultivators included both men and women, though most were male. Wang Changsheng didn't recognize any of them.

The floor vibrated slightly, as a red-robed old man with a large head and big ears walked up. A portion of the red-robed old man's belly was exposed, appearing as if it could burst through his clothes at any moment. Two young women, identical in appearance, followed behind him. One young woman wore a fiery red dress, with a curvaceous figure and moist, peach-blossom eyes. The other wore a modest green tunic, with a slender build, appearing more innocent.

The red-robed old man plopped down, and the chair groaned faintly, seemingly struggling to bear his weight. The two young women sat on his laps. The one in green took out a pot of fine wine and poured for him, while the one in red produced a bunch of green grapes, peeling and feeding them to him. The red-robed old man embraced both women, enjoying their service, completely oblivious to the gazes of others.

"That's Scattered Cultivator Huoyun!"

Wang Changsheng recognized the red-robed old man. Scattered Cultivator Huoyun was a rogue cultivator, notorious as a womanizer with countless wives and concubines.

Scattered Cultivator Huoyun suddenly looked at Fairy Ziyue and asked with a smile, "This old man is Sun Yan. May I ask your name, Fairy?"

Fairy Ziyue frowned. She had used a Spirit Transformation Pearl to alter her appearance; her current looks were very ordinary and should not have attracted the attention of a lecher like Scattered Cultivator Huoyun. This was her first time meeting him.

"My surname is Lin," she replied. "May I ask what business Fellow Daoist Sun has with me?"

Fairy Ziyue's tone was indifferent, giving off an air of keeping people at a distance. Scattered Cultivator Huoyun nodded with a smile and said nothing more. A strange look flickered in Wang Changsheng's eyes. While Fairy Ziyue's current features were ordinary, her figure was too good. If she didn't possess Nascent Soul stage cultivation, Scattered Cultivator Huoyun would likely have approached her more brazenly.

Not long after, a dignified Taoist nun in a purple skirt walked up. The moment she appeared, the Nascent Soul cultivators present stirred.

"Fairy Fenghua is here."

"Fairy Ye, long time no see!" Scattered Cultivator Huoyun said enthusiastically. Anyone unaware would think they were old acquaintances.

Wang Changsheng chuckled lightly. He naturally didn't believe Ye Rou'er had any real connection with Scattered Cultivator Huoyun. Fairy Fenghua, Ye Rou'er, was one of the Five Immortals of the Outer Seas. She had been involved with Free-spirited Sword Venerable for a period, so if Scattered Cultivator Huoyun tried anything with her, he would likely suffer a loss.

Ye Rou'er nodded and said nothing more. Ye Rou'er sat down beside Wang Changsheng, glanced at Fairy Ziyue, and said, "This little sister has long heard of True Monarch Taihao's reputation, and I'm finally meeting Fellow Daoist Wang."

"Fairy Ye, you flatter me," Wang Changsheng replied modestly. "In terms of reputation, how can I compare to you?" Ye Rou'er had been involved with Free-spirited Sword Venerable for a period, and since Free-spirited Sword Venerable was Wang Qingshan's master, the relationships here were quite complex.

"By the way, Fellow Daoist Wang," she asked, "did your nephew not accompany you? Why didn't you bring him along?" Ye Rou'er inquired about Wang Qingshan; she seemed quite interested in him.

"Qingshan is occupied with something and couldn't get away," Wang Changsheng replied. "He did not accompany this old man."

Ye Rou'er nodded, and her gaze fell upon Fairy Ziyue. She casually asked, "This little sister is Ye Rou'er. May I ask your name, Fellow Daoist?"

"My surname is Lin," she replied. Fairy Ziyue's tone was flat, clearly indicating her unwillingness to say more. Seeing this, Ye Rou'er didn't press further.

Not long after, True Monarch Wan Gu and True Monarch Yaori walked up together. By this time, seventeen Nascent Soul cultivators had already gathered. Wang Changsheng secretly sighed in admiration. Seventeen Nascent Soul cultivators gathered in one place – it would be difficult to see so many assembled like this in the Eastern Barren Lands.

Li Jiong swept his gaze over the cultivators present and smiled, "Thank you all, Fellow Daoists, for attending this old man's exchange meet. I don't think anyone else will be coming, so let's begin!"

"Wait a moment, this old man is here too." A somewhat deep male voice suddenly rang out. No sooner had the words fallen, Yuan Gang walked up.
