Chapter 94: Deep Hatred and Grudge

A stir!

Inside the pavilion, only the seven domain lords who were present before knew what Shi Chun and the other person had done.

Seeing Shi Chun leap out again, the domain lords who were aware of the situation turned to Wei Mo, the domain lord of Shengzhou, with amused looks.

Wei Mo was also displeased to see the two. His face immediately fell. He wondered who these guys were intercepting this time, and if they were going to bully other sects from Shengzhou again. He had already been ridiculed for their previous actions; were these two going to make a fool of him again?

Perhaps not, he tried to think positively, but the way Shi Chun and the other person jumped out looked exactly like a robbery. Their manner was so smooth and natural, not at all like someone doing this for the first time.

Those who didn't know Shi Chun and the other's background didn't need to ask. There were attendants specifically for these high-ranking individuals. A simple gesture would bring a supervisor to provide an explanation.

In the training grounds, Fei Zhenggong, an elder from the Jade Spirit Sect, finally saw his disciples appear on the mirrored screen. He felt both relief and tension.

He was relieved that three disciples had escaped the pursuit, but tense because the three were clearly not lightly injured.

This mirrored image was something he had paid to view urgently. The reason for the emergency request was that he had inadvertently seen his Jade Spirit Sect disciples being besieged and pursued in someone else's broadcast. Even after paying, he had to wait in line for a long time before it was his turn.

“Elder Fei, those are your Jade Spirit Sect disciples…” a familiar elder from another sect kindly reminded him.

Before he could finish, his words were drowned out by a clamor of "Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang!"

Seeing Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang blocking the path in the mirrored image, Fei Zhenggong exclaimed in surprise, “What are they trying to do?!”

An elder from another sect standing nearby reassured him, “Brother Fei, don't panic. One of them just entered high-level martial arts, and the other is only at the initial level. They are no match for your sect's disciples.”

Fei Zhenggong countered, “They used Immobilization Talismans from Wukang Mountain. My disciples are severely injured and unaware of these two's reckless audacity. If they don't react properly, something unexpected might happen.”

That made sense, and the elder beside him fell silent.

Having just escaped one danger only to run into another, Fei Zhenggong was in a very bad mood, feeling agitated. He asked, “Aren't they from Shengzhou? Are the entrances for Shengzhou and Yingzhou very close?”

No one near him could answer that question. For now, they could only stare intently at the mirrored image, wondering what Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang intended to do after blocking the Jade Spirit Sect disciples – whether to fight, retreat, or what. They also couldn't tell what they were chattering about.

Elder Ke, while watching the screen closely, also asked those around him, “Which sect are they facing?”

He was afraid they were from Shengzhou again. Domain Lord Wei Mo's warning words still rang in his ears, and he couldn't bear that pressure.

Those around him couldn't provide an answer either.

Feng Chi, cloaked, was also watching intently. Instead of hiding, she had actually emerged to wander around. She was very curious.

Lan Qiaoyan and her mother on the viewing platform were also watching. Young Master Nan was also staring intently.

The only ones not quiet were the nobles on the viewing platform who had just been chatting and socializing. Because of the reactions on the scene, they were asking around, "Who are Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang?"

Inside the private box with the best view, Chi Rang, the domain lord of Xuanzhou, stared at the mirrored image for a while before asking seriously, “Which sect are those two dark figures facing? It's not Shengzhou again, is it?”

Those in the know chuckled inwardly, aware that he wanted to tease Wei Mo again.

The supervisor on site immediately approached and replied, “They are not from Shengzhou. They are from the Jade Spirit Sect of Yingzhou.”

Wei Xuanzhang, the domain lord of Yingzhou, who had just heard the previous joke from someone nearby, was smiling and nodding, as if understanding. Suddenly hearing the supervisor's words, he was stunned and stopped smiling. “How did this involve my side?” he muttered, staring at the mirror, “Are the Xun Gate entrances for Shengzhou and Yingzhou very close?”

The supervisor thought for a moment and replied, “Not very close. There are eleven Xun Gates between them.”

Wei Xuanzhang: “Didn't they leave their group? Why would just the two of them run so far?”

Someone joked, “Of course, it's because people from Yingzhou are so good-looking. They specially ran over to take a look.”

A round of playful banter erupted. These were all people of equal status, and privately, they were not as serious as outsiders might imagine.

Wei Mo breathed a slight sigh of relief. As long as they weren't fighting with Shengzhou people again, it was fine. Of course, he was now a bit curious as to why those two had left the Shengzhou contingent and run so far.

However, the mirrored image had disappeared, and no one could see what happened next.

Chi Rang, the domain lord of Xuanzhou, looked at Wei Xuanzhang, who was bickering with others, and a thought flashed through his mind: the forces from Yingzhou and Xuanzhou seemed to have entered through the same Jian Gate. Could it be that they were injured by his own Xuanzhou people?

After the scene switched, Elder Fei Zhenggong of the Jade Spirit Sect in the training grounds couldn't sit still. He quickly ordered a disciple nearby, “Go, request it again.”

“Yes, sir.” The disciple quickly acknowledged the order and departed.

The training grounds were already abuzz with discussion, everyone seemingly curious about what would happen next in the cut-off scene.

Young Master Nan on the viewing platform saw this situation and secretly gave a bitter smile, knowing that all this attention was a result of his previous extended broadcast. Otherwise, no one would be paying so much attention.

Lan Qiaoyan and her mother, who had been about to leave, sat back down. They also wanted to request a broadcast to see the follow-up, but refrained from mentioning it. However, it was clear they had no intention of leaving so soon this time.

Meanwhile, in reality, as soon as Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang saw someone approaching, they immediately crouched down and ambushed themselves.

As soon as the people got close, the two instantly sprang out to block their way.

Wu Jinliang knew exactly what to say and do, having his own routine. He would target someone and shout, holding his broadsword horizontally, “Villains from Xuanzhou, where do you think you're escaping to?!”

This was the way to assess the situation – to shout and trick them. If they were from Xuanzhou, they would naturally prepare to fight. If not, they would explain themselves, making it easier to inquire about the Xuanzhou forces.

Judging by their flustered appearance, the two estimated that they weren't formidable Xuanzhou forces.

The three people, bloodied and injured, immediately became wary. Hearing Wu Jinliang's shout, the leading man quickly clarified, “You two have misunderstood. We are not from Xuanzhou. We are disciples of the Jade Spirit Sect from Yingzhou.” As he spoke, he showed them the small token on his bracelet.

Seeing that they were indeed not from Xuanzhou, Shi Chun lowered his blade. “So, you are three brave warriors from the Jade Spirit Sect. Why are you in such a frantic state?”

The leading man replied, “We were just being pursued by the Xuanzhou villains you mentioned.”

Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang exchanged a glance. When encountering such a situation, a single look was enough to know how to proceed.

Wu Jinliang already looked furious. “Where are those Xuanzhou villains? Please lead the way! If there's one, I'll kill one! If there are two, I'll kill a pair! Not a single one will escape!”

The three exchanged glances. The Jade Spirit Sect disciple whose arm was injured and hanging uselessly asked, “May we ask which sect you two are from?”

They wanted to confirm the identity of the two.

Shi Chun, who took over the conversation, first extended a hand to Wu Jinliang in a calming gesture. “Junior Brother, calm down.”

Then he turned to the three and said, “Three brave warriors, please forgive us, but we cannot reveal our identities. My senior and junior brothers have killed many disciples from various Xuanzhou sects along the way, making too many enemies. I trust you understand what I mean. We also hope that afterward, you will pretend you never saw us. Is that acceptable?”

The three offered noncommittal replies, one after another.

Immediately after, the leading man hesitated again. “Do you two have a feud with the Xuanzhou forces?”

Shi Chun: “A deep-seated hatred! They killed my junior sister!”

Wu Jinliang immediately cried out to the sky in sorrow, “Oh, my poor junior sister! My beautiful, blossoming junior sister! Not only did they kill her, but they also defiled her! This enmity is irreconcilable! Xuanzhou dog-thieves, if there's one, I'll kill one! If there are two, I'll kill a pair! Not a single one will escape!”

No wonder, the three gasped and showed sympathy. The leading man even cursed, “They truly are beasts, doing whatever they please because of their power!”

Shi Chun then said, “Three brave warriors, please rest assured. Just lead the way for us. Once we find the Xuanzhou villains who pursued you, you can withdraw. There's no need for you to participate in the fighting; my senior and junior brothers can handle it.”

The Jade Spirit Sect disciple with a long bleeding gash on his chest said, “They were numerous, over a dozen people. We lost two of our fellow disciples and had to throw out the Spiritual Crystals we had to escape.”

Shi Chun calmly said, “What if there are many people? We're not afraid of many people; we're just afraid there aren't enough for my blade to cut.”

Wu Jinliang held his blade horizontally and said fiercely, “No fewer than a hundred Xuanzhou people have died by my blade, not to mention by my senior brother's blade!”

Then he suddenly swung his blade, pointing it at the three. “If you don't lead the way, you're Xuanzhou accomplices, and I'll butcher the three of you first!”

This shocked the three. Just looking at that broadsword, it was clearly not something an ordinary person would use. How could they dare to easily provoke them?

“Junior Brother, don't be rude!” Shi Chun reached out and gently removed the broadsword from his hand, maintaining a refined demeanor. “Every wrong has its perpetrator, every debt its debtor. How can we implicate innocent bystanders?”

He then held his blade by the tip, hilt pointing down, and cupped his hands to the three. “Please, kindly lead the way.”

The three Jade Spirit Sect disciples were already filled with awe and respect, realizing they had met true masters. After exchanging glances, the leading man replied, “Alright. We don't know if they're still there, but we can try. If we encounter them, the three of us are injured and truly unable to assist.”

Shi Chun waved his hand. “As I said, you lead the way and find them. We will handle the killing. For mere chickens and dogs, our two blades are more than enough!”

“Alright,” the leading man agreed, then gestured for them to follow.

Shi Chun, maintaining his refined manner, said, “Thank you for your trouble.”

He then turned to Wu Jinliang and said, “Junior Brother, keep the pace down. They are injured, so let's walk slowly. No need to rush.”

Wu Jinliang naturally understood his meaning: he was worried that if they rushed too fast, the injured trio might not be able to keep up, which would reveal the true extent of their injuries or their cultivation level. He immediately replied, “Don't worry, Senior Brother, I understand.”

Thus, the group of five set off together.

Although the three Jade Spirit Sect disciples didn't know the identities of Shi Chun and Wu Jinliang, they were inwardly quite hopeful. They had suffered greatly, lost two lives, and nearly lost their own. Now that someone was helping them seek revenge, they were naturally excited.
