Chapter 114: Treasure Robe

"Fantastic!" Shi Chun, who had drawn a ticket and was examining it, also sighed. "Six Realms Universal Bank? Never heard of it. The concept of the Six Realms, it seems to include the Demon Realm, right? How long has the Demon Realm been extinct? Good heavens, how many generations back from the Celestial Court would that be?"

Wu Jinliang scoffed, "The Demon Realm is too far gone. The Six Realms at least include the Underworld. The Underworld has been sealed for eight hundred years. When this old demon was first trapped here, the Underworld must have still been accessible. That alone spans two or three dynasties. If it were tens of billions of sandalwood gold pieces, that would be fine. The Qiankun Bracelet has plenty of space; it could hold it. But what's the deal with giving us tens of billions of paper notes? Can currency from a previous dynasty be used in this one? Would outside banks even recognize it? Is this old demon trying to 'thank' his benefactor, or is he repaying kindness with enmity?"

His laughter was utterly devoid of enthusiasm. Having stumbled upon a fortune that spanned across time, his regret was indescribable.

Shi Chun recalled the message on the jade tablet and bent down to rummage through the box, hoping to find messages from others who might have strayed into this place, so as to gather more clues. However, the stacks of notes were neatly arranged, perfectly clean, with nothing else inside.

He then overturned the box, poured all the notes out, and carefully examined them while stacking them back in. Still, he found nothing. He couldn't help but murmur, "Are we the first ones to have stumbled in here in all these years?"

Wu Jinliang said, "Worrying about that is pointless. Chun Tian, let's just figure out how to get out of here."

Shi Chun replied, "If he could find a place to set up a treasure hideout, it's unlikely he'd just hide it in this cavity. There's a good chance this cavity has an exit."

"You're right. Let's climb out of here first."

Wu Jinliang chuckled, his spirits lifting. He was about to put the bracelet on his own wrist when he saw Shi Chun reaching out, making a demanding gesture, then beckoning him with a finger, signaling him to hand it over. He instantly fell silent, but obediently handed over the bracelet.

There was nothing for it. According to the rules of Dong Jiuyuan, any fortune found was to be distributed by the leader. This was the rule throughout the entire land of exile, so there was nothing to say. He was used to it. Although it was said this was no longer the land of exile, he wasn't as strong as the other person, and he still relied on the other person to take him out. Otherwise, even the most valuable items would be useless; he would just die here like the old demon.

Shi Chun put the bracelet on his wrist, then also placed the demon book and other items into the box, subsequently storing everything inside the Qiankun Bracelet. This time, he made sure to remember the storage location.

Turning around, he pointed at Wu Jinliang's waist pouch and said, "Why do you put everything in there? Your pockets are about to burst! It's clear you haven't been doing anything good. If we kill two more, where will you put things? Except for what you absolutely need to carry, hand everything else over and I'll store it."

This guy had forcibly crammed into his pockets the belongings of Sun Shigang's group of five, along with Guan Wen and Yan Ji's, totaling seven people's possessions. Unless they were bug crystals, anyone could tell at a glance that he had robbed others.

Having too many things hanging from his waist was indeed cumbersome. Wu Jinliang first took off the black pouch containing dozens of bug crystals hanging from his belt and threw it to Shi Chun. Then he took off his other pouches, sat on the steps, and began rummaging through their contents, piece by piece.

He first took out the wind scale, indicating to Shi Chun, "I'll keep this on me as a backup." After saying that, he put it back into his pocket. Next were some essential spare items. All the rest he crammed into a bag and tossed it to Shi Chun.

Shi Chun put all these things into the Qiankun Bracelet. He also took some items from his own pockets and stored them in the bracelet, including that wind scale. After all, the Qiankun Bracelet was on his wrist, readily accessible at any time, which was more convenient than rummaging through a pocket.

Once both felt lighter, they turned to look for an exit. After a few steps, Shi Chun suddenly stopped, frowned, and then turned back to look at the old demon sitting in meditation on the divan.

Wu Jinliang noticed and turned back to ask, "What is it?"

Shi Chun hesitated, saying, "How is the old demon's clothing still like new? Forget ancient times, even clothes from a few hundred years ago shouldn't be this new. The clothes we wear in the land of exile, we grab them and wear them for a few years, and they easily tear everywhere. How...?"

Before he could finish, Wu Jinliang's eyes lit up, and he quickly moved to the divan. "Look at us, how could we forget to search its body? We've only had a few good days and we're already forgetting the basics!"

He sat on the divan, first pulling up a corner of the old demon's garment to examine the fabric. After inspecting it, he tugged at it again. Unsure if he detected something unusual, he let out a sound, then grabbed the clothing, held it tightly with both hands, and pulled with all his might using his magic.

Seeing this, Shi Chun quickly climbed the steps to check as well. It was clear the clothing was unusual.

Even with magic, it wouldn't tear. Wu Jinliang's eyes gleamed even brighter. He clasped his hands and bowed to the old demon, "Venerable Senior, I apologize, but this junior is about to undress you."

With that, he grabbed the garment, lifted it, and pulled it entirely off the old demon's withered body. The fabric was smooth and silken. The old demon, now without its outer garment, had no other clothing underneath. Perhaps any other clothes had long since decayed.

Both brothers simultaneously let out an exclamation, discovering a large, furry tail behind the old demon.

"Chun Tian, a mouse doesn't have a tail like this. It's not a mouse, nor does it seem to be a fox. It has golden fur. What kind of creature could it be?"

Shi Chun stared at the old demon's face for a moment, saying, "It's so withered it's lost its original form. Who knows what its true form was."

Ignoring that, Wu Jinliang's attention returned to the clothing. He pulled out a short knife and tried to cut it. Not only did Shi Chun always carry a short knife, so did he. No matter how he cut, he couldn't tear the garment. He simply threw the clothing onto the divan, then gripped the short knife in reverse and vigorously jabbed and stabbed at it.

After jabbing, he picked it up and saw it was still completely unharmed. This time, even Shi Chun's eyes lit up.

Wu Jinliang, already holding the garment, jumped off the divan, eager to put it on. He didn't even bother to remove the sandalwood gold tied to his body. After putting it on, he found it pitifully small on him; he was practically bound up by it. His expression immediately wilted, looking utterly disappointed. He used his magic to try and stretch the garment, then sighed, "No matter what, this clothing is certainly sturdy."

Shi Chun, however, broke into a wide smile. Needless to say, this treasured garment was his.

But his smile quickly froze on his face. His eyes widened, as if he had seen a ghost. He watched as the tightly bound garment slowly became loose, gradually lengthening, until it perfectly matched Wu Jinliang's physique, only then did it stop changing.

Wu Jinliang slowly lifted his head, having looked down to check the length, waist, left sleeve, and then raising his hand to check the right sleeve. His face was filled with disbelief as he looked at Shi Chun. "Chun Tian, this... I'm not dreaming, am I? This clothing can change size?"

Shi Chun was also full of disbelief. After coming to his senses, he drew the knife from his back and walked towards Wu Jinliang. Wu Jinliang knew what he intended to do. His heart pounding, he extended an arm, cooperating, "Don't use too much force."

Shi Chun first lightly chopped once. Seeing that the clothing was unharmed, he applied a little more force, still no effect. So, he gradually increased his strength. Wu Jinliang then cheered up, "A bit more force! A bit more force...!" The knife blade Shi Chun wielded was no longer limited to his arm but was wildly hacking at all parts of Wu Jinliang's body covered by the clothing. Towards the end, he was gradually adding more power to his strikes, yet he still couldn't breach the garment.

It was one thing that the clothing couldn't be cut through, but the force of the attacks was real. Yet, how was Wu Jinliang acting as if nothing was happening? He quickly noticed something. With every chop on Wu Jinliang's body, the entire garment would sway and ripple elegantly, giving off a transcendent aura.

He suddenly put away his knife and unleashed a palm strike on Wu Jinliang's chest. This was his full-power blow.

*Thud!* Wu Jinliang swayed slightly, his clothes fluttered violently, but he remained standing still.

Seeing that Wu Jinliang was still unharmed, Shi Chun immediately re-sheathed his knife on his back, then unbuckled it along with the sheath. He beckoned, "Take off the clothes. You try hitting me." Wu Jinliang complied, taking off the garment and throwing it to him.

Shi Chun put it on, but found the garment to be much too large, hanging loosely on him. He bounced a couple of times, but it didn't shrink. He asked, "How did it get big just now?"

Wu Jinliang said, "I don't know... Uh, I used my magic to try and stretch it. I wonder if that's related."

Shi Chun immediately poured his magic into the garment to stretch it. Sure enough, the clothing instantly shrunk at a visible pace, quickly becoming a snug fit. He immediately beckoned to Wu Jinliang, "Come, hit me with all your strength."

Wu Jinliang misunderstood. "Full strength?" Shi Chun replied, "I used my full strength when I hit you just now."

Wu Jinliang gave a shout of acknowledgement, then instantly moved and delivered a punch that struck Shi Chun's chest. Shi Chun, who was using magic to defend, also remained motionless. He said, "Was that your full strength? With your cultivation, I only felt about twenty percent of your attack power."

"What?!" Wu Jinliang exclaimed, finally understanding why the other person was so eager to switch and try it. He immediately turned back, picked up his broadsword, and asked, "Shall I try with full strength again?"

Shi Chun nodded, "Go ahead."

Wu Jinliang immediately moved back a bit, then grabbed his broadsword and rushed forward, thrusting the blunt side of the blade towards Shi Chun's chest with a whoosh. He used the blunt side of the blade, still not daring to use the sharp edge, but it was indeed a full-strength strike.

*Bang!* A loud thud, the garment rippled violently, and strong winds surged all around, but Shi Chun remained steadily in place.

*Clang!* Wu Jinliang's blade suddenly clattered to the floor, catching everyone off guard. He clasped his hands and kept bowing to Shi Chun, his face full of pleading. "Chun Tian, please give me this garment! I truly love it, I love it so much! You know how hard it is for me to find clothes that fit. Chun Tian, you know I'm afraid of death. This garment can save my life! Just give it to me. I don't want anything else—the Qiankun Bracelet, this, and even this wind scale, I'll give them to you. I don't want anything but this garment, okay?"

He fumbled and pulled out the wind scale, offering it with both hands, his eyes filled with eager longing and pleading.

Shi Chun fell silent. How could he not like such a treasured garment? However, it was truly the first time he had seen Wu Jinliang desire something so intensely. He reached out and pushed back the wind scale that Wu Jinliang was holding, refusing to take it.

Wu Jinliang immediately hung his head, dejected.
