Chapter 833: Prolo Lord (This Chapter Contains Nuclear Energy)

"The Tu Fang Kingdom has attacked! The Demon Lord is leading an army of 100,000 to the Suihuang Wasteland!"

"Where are the Suihuang Iron Cavalry? Why don't we see them?"

"They've all gone to fight outside the city!"

"Why didn't they stay and defend the city? Wouldn't it be easier to fight from inside?"

"Are you crazy? If they defended the city from inside, wouldn't we be caught in the crossfire? Once Tu Fang breaks through, they'd kill us all!"

"Even if they don't breach the city, what would we eat if it's besieged?"

"The Suihuang Iron Cavalry still have a conscience. Win or lose, they won't let us suffer with them!"

A group of people were discussing the war in a teahouse. In the back courtyard, the old man who looked after the stables found the shopkeeper. "I'm feeling really annoyed today; I'd like to take a day off."

The shopkeeper frowned. "Annoyed about what? Are you sick? You were full of life this morning. How did you get sick so suddenly?"

The old man chuckled. "I'm getting old, you know. Sometimes I'm well, sometimes I'm not. I won't ask for my wages today; just let me rest for a day!"

The shopkeeper retorted angrily, "You still want wages? Why would I give them to you? No work, no pay! If you really want to leave, fine. Don't bother coming back."

The old man gritted his teeth, slammed his hand on the table, and turned to leave. "If I don't come, I don't come! Who cares about your lousy money anyway!"

A waiter, who had just finished clearing a table and was heading to the kitchen, saw the shopkeeper with a dark expression, looking towards the entrance.

"What happened?" the waiter asked.

The shopkeeper grunted, "The stableman left!"

The waiter, being new, couldn't recall who the stableman was. "What was his name again?"

The shopkeeper snorted, "Who knows his name? He's just a stableman!"

The waiter didn't understand why the shopkeeper was so angry. "So, he left, so what?"

The shopkeeper fiddled with the abacus beads. "He said he was sick. He's lying to me! If he were really sick, would I not pay him?"

The waiter chuckled. "Such a person is just useless. Why bother with him?"

The shopkeeper slapped the abacus onto the waiter. "Who are you calling useless? He's a true hero!"

The waiter quickly picked up the abacus. "So what happened to him, exactly…?"

The shopkeeper gripped the abacus beads, making them clatter. "Why would he lie to me? What's he doing there? What good can he possibly do there?"

The more the waiter listened, the more confused he became. "Where exactly did he go?"

The old stableman went outside the city, following hoof prints for a full fifty *li*.

Ahead was an area called Mayang Slope. Every spring and summer, the entire hillside would be covered in Stone-knocking Grass.

Stone-knocking Grass is a special fodder. If ordinary cattle or sheep eat it, within a few hours, they'll find a stone and start head-butting it until their skulls crack and their brains dry up; only then will they stop.

Only the pockmarked sheep native to Suihuang Wasteland can eat Stone-knocking Grass.

Pockmarked sheep have sparse fur and patchy skin, looking as if they're covered in sores. They love Stone-knocking Grass, getting fatter the more they eat, without any ill effects. That's why the place is called Mayang Slope.

Currently, there were no pockmarked sheep or Stone-knocking Grass visible. Only a snowy expanse lay ahead, where two groups of people and horses stood.

One group was led by Yao Xin, comprising the Suihuang Iron Cavalry, a legendary army made up of Iron-boned Men. Zhao Xiaowan was among them.

The other group was led by a young woman. This was a motley army composed of the Chu family, the Lu family, and the Hundred Flowers Sect. The young woman leading them wore a student uniform and appeared shy and reserved, looking nothing like a warrior.

The old stableman gazed into the distance. After a long time, he saw no figures, but he could faintly hear the sound of drums.

Boom, boom!

As it was still far away, the drumming didn't sound very loud, but each beat seemed to strike the heart, sending chills down one's spine.

The old stableman recognized the drum sound; he knew the Tu Fang people had arrived.

The cavalrymen beside Yao Xin gripped their reins tightly. Perhaps due to the cold weather, many of them were sniffling.

A camp officer beside Yao Xin first sneezed, then began coughing repeatedly.

Yao Xin asked, "Have you caught a cold?"

The officer rubbed his face and said, "It's nothing; I'll be fine in a moment."

Yao Xin lowered his voice. "Why don't you stand back a bit?"

The officer shook his head. "You don't need to worry about me. I just sneezed twice; it won't affect the battle."

Yao Xin looked into the distance; a mass of figures appeared on the snowy plains.

The Tu Fang Kingdom's army had arrived.

Yao Xin took a sip from his flask. He had intended to tell a joke to lift everyone's spirits, but instead, he heard a chorus of coughs all around him.

Nian Shangyou presented the battle report to Qiao Yi. "The Tu Fang Demon Lord has deployed troops to attack Huangtu Town, but Li Qi is still fighting fiercely in the wasteland."

Qiao Yi's smile grew wider as he read the report.

Nian Shangyou asked Qiao Yi, "My Lord, the Tu Fang Kingdom is urging us to advance. Is this move a bit reckless? Li Qi's battle hasn't been decided yet. We might as well wait until the dust settles before deploying our troops."

Qiao Yi shook his head. "The outcome has long been decided. Continuing to wait will only make us miss the opportune moment. The Suihuang Iron Cavalry trained by Yao Xin are utterly incapable of fighting. The scattered irregulars brought by Li Qi originally had no connection to the Suihuang Wasteland. If Suihuang Wasteland doesn't fight for itself, who will those powerful factions and gangs fight for? How long can Li Qi hold out?

The Demon Lord says he will take over Huangtu Town, which proves he is confident in capturing it without bloodshed. Once Huangtu Town falls, Li Qi will be completely disheartened. He might lead his men back to Wuyou Ping or support Qunying Mountain, which would provide the Peddler with additional help and put our army at a disadvantage. Currently, Li Qi is still battling in Suihuang Wasteland, in a dilemma. Now is the best time for our army to strike."

Nian Shangyou exclaimed repeatedly, "My Lord's strategies are flawless! Truly a divine being!"

Qiao Yi ordered Nian Shangyou to relay the military command: "The entire army will set off for Qunying Mountain."

He had ultimately chosen Qunying Mountain, but Nian Shangyou was unfamiliar with it. "My Lord, once we reach Qunying Mountain, where should we march?"

Qiao Yi frowned. "Why do you ask?"

"Why?"

"He had to ask that!"

Nian Shangyou was leading troops, and he didn't know the way. So, why ask why he was asking?

"Your subordinate has never been to Qunying Mountain and knows nothing about the route. If my Lord does not specify, your subordinate will not know how to proceed."

Qiao Yi took out a map and pointed out a few things to Nian Shangyou. "This is Fog Prison Valley. Its east, west, and north sides are all sheer cliffs, with only one exit to the south. Beneath the sheer cliff on the north side of Fog Prison Valley is a cave, and inside this cave is a path connecting to Sage Peak. This path is usually sealed, but it has now been opened. Do you understand now?"

This explanation was easy to understand. Qiao Yi meant that they could reach Fog Prison Valley from Sage Peak directly, and then find a way to break out of Fog Prison Valley.

But did the Peddler know about this path from Sage Peak to Fog Prison Valley?

If he did, then this path would be difficult to traverse.

Nian Shangyou asked, "Will the enemy army enter this path beforehand and tamper with it?"

Qiao Yi shook his head. "The enemy army cannot enter this path."

Nian Shangyou understood: only with the Imperial Seal could one enter this path.

"My Lord, wasn't the Imperial Seal left in Zhenxun? Yet we are now at Sage Peak!"

Qiao Yi glared at Nian Shangyou. "Is that something you should be asking?"

Nian Shangyou dared not ask about the Imperial Seal again, but some matters had to be clarified with Qiao Yi. "My Lord, after entering Fog Prison Valley from the north, must we pass through the valley and exit from the south?"

Qiao Yi nodded. "This is the most difficult part of this campaign. The Peddler will lead the former Suihuang Iron Cavalry to block our army in the valley, while Eighteen Wheels will lead various formidable figures to pursue our army from behind."

Nian Shangyou felt the situation was quite challenging. "How should we fight this battle?"

Qiao Yi drew a line on the map. "Defeat the Peddler, break out of Fog Prison Valley, and use the terrain to trap Eighteen Wheels and his followers in the gorge until they die."

Nian Shangyou didn't know what Fog Prison Valley looked like, but he could imagine the process of defeating the Peddler and breaking out of the gorge.

However, trapping Eighteen Wheels and his group in Fog Prison Valley was something he couldn't quite grasp.

How would they be trapped?

Given the fighting power of Eighteen Wheels' group, they should have plenty of ways to break out of the gorge.

Qiao Yi smiled. "Once we reach Qunying Mountain, you'll understand the tactics used here. Order the entire army to set off. Remember, you must defeat the Peddler and the former Suihuang Iron Cavalry and lead the entire army out of Fog Prison Valley within two days, or the tide of battle may turn."

As Nian Shangyou led the army, the Peddler saw everything clearly from Qunying Mountain. He immediately sent a message to Eighteen Wheels: "Qiao Yi has moved. Bring your people and pursue immediately."

Eighteen Wheels gathered all his forces and reconfirmed the battle location with the Peddler. "We're still fighting in Fog Prison Valley, the place hasn't changed, right?"

"It hasn't changed," the Peddler replied. "I've established a Life Pact in Fog Prison Valley. You should know how to fight this battle."

Upon hearing "Life Pact," Eighteen Wheels' heart tightened. "I know how to fight, but can you hold on?"

"I can hold on."

"Can those old Iron-boned veterans on the mountain hold on?"

"They can hold on! They'll fight as soon as they grab their weapons!" The Peddler looked towards Suihuang Wasteland.

The Tu Fang army halted on Mayang Slope. The two armies were somewhat distant, but the Demon Lord's vision was excellent. As he scanned the Suihuang Iron Cavalry's formation, his middle head couldn't help but laugh aloud.

"I knew they weren't up to par, but I didn't expect them to be this bad," the Demon Lord sighed, looking at the herald beside him. "During the Second Prolo War, our ancestors failed to conquer this land. That regret has lingered over the empire and hasn't dissipated to this day.

Now, it is up to us to atone for our ancestors' regrets. Give them the time of three drumbeats to kneel before me and repent for their crimes. This is our leniency. I hope they do not betray my goodwill, otherwise, in the next three days, I will kill every person in Huangtu Town."

The herald conveyed the order to a giant bear, which was seven or eight meters tall even when lying down. The bear walked to the front of the formation and roared towards the Suihuang Iron Cavalry: "Surrender within three drumbeats and you shall live! After three drumbeats, the city will be purged for three days, leaving no living thing!"

His accent was heavy, but every word was clearly articulated.

The words were concise, and everyone understood their meaning.

In the Suihuang Iron Cavalry's formation, a camp officer's warhorse swayed back and forth, almost throwing its rider off.

Yao Xin looked at the officer and said with a hint of sarcasm, "Do you want to surrender?"

The officer shook his head repeatedly. "How could I surrender? I'm not a coward! We came to fight, nothing more than to risk our lives. I'd have no regrets dying on the battlefield."

The warhorse neighed, and the officer almost fell again. Once he regained his balance, he quickly explained, "General, I'm not scared at all. It's just my warhorse that's startled."

Yao Xin sighed. "Loosen your reins. You've made the horse's mouth bleed."

Seeing that the Suihuang Iron Cavalry showed no signs of surrendering, the Demon Lord ordered the drums to be beaten.

Two water buffalo, each carrying a drum over ten meters tall, came to the front of the formation. Two giant bears took turns beating the drums with their mallets.

Boom!

After that single beat, everyone's ears rang for a long time.

It was this very drumming that had previously caused the Suihuang Iron Cavalry to cough and sneeze, and made many gasp for breath.

Now, as the drums roared once more, Yao Xin looked back and saw a group of cavalrymen trembling uncontrollably on their horses, following the rhythm of the drumbeats.

Fifth Lady glanced at the cavalrymen and shook her head repeatedly at Zhao Xiaowan.

All Iron-boned Men were of Iron-boned lineage, but not all of Iron-boned lineage were true heroes.

The Suihuang Iron Cavalry feared cowards most. If just three or five cowards appeared among five hundred Iron-boned Men, the army would collapse.

Yao Xin had trained a total of ten thousand Suihuang Iron Cavalry. In terms of bloodline, all of them were of Iron-boned lineage.

But judging by their current state, almost all ten thousand of them had become timid; no one brave could be found for the moment.

Chu Er saw that something was wrong. She gathered the Chu family members to the front of the formation.

"Let's not wait for these cowards. We'll go in ourselves."

Xiang Fenglan was about to lead the charge when Fifth Lady stopped her. "Miss Chu, please do not act on your own. I am in command today."

"What difference does it make who's in command now?" Chu Huaiyuan rolled her eyes at Fifth Lady. "Just watching the enemy charge at us, isn't that just waiting to die?"

Fifth Lady and Chu Er exchanged glances for a moment. Lu Chunying stepped forward to persuade, "Sister Huaiyuan, don't forget what Seventh Brother said. They know how to fight; we must listen to them."

Xiao Yeci added, "That's right, our benefactor said we must obey military orders!"

Zhang Xiuling also chimed in, "Huaiyuan, don't be unreasonable."

Fifth Lady explained, "If it were a surprise attack, I would let you act. If neither side was prepared, I would also let you act. But now both sides have arrayed their armies for battle. They are a well-trained army. If you go, you'll just be throwing your lives away, and your deaths will be utterly meaningless!"

Chu Huaiyuan asked, "Then why did you bring me here?"

Fifth Lady looked at the Suihuang Iron Cavalry and said, "Because we also have a well-trained army!"

Chu Huaiyuan sneered, "What kind of army is this?"

As she spoke, the first drumbeat concluded.

Looking at the trembling Suihuang Iron Cavalry, the Demon Lord's three heads laughed in unison. "I originally intended to leave them some dignity, but now it seems completely unnecessary. Relay my order: after three drumbeats, if they still haven't surrendered, do not give them any chance to survive. Trample them directly into a pulp!"

The entire army bellowed in agreement. Just that shout alone startled many horses among the Suihuang Iron Cavalry.

Yao Xin looked at Zhao Xiaowan, a look of shame on his face. "Marshal, these are the soldiers I personally trained. They are Iron-boned Men. Their bloodline is correct, their disposition is correct; they all have courage. Those few cowardly officers have all been replaced. I truly don't know what's wrong with them today…"

"Don't worry," Zhao Xiaowan said. "I know they have fighting spirit. It's their first battle today, and they're scared." When Zhao Xiaowan trained the Iron-boned lineage back then, they were all seasoned by veterans leading new recruits. Now, their very first battle is against the Tu Fang Kingdom's elite, and they're facing the Tu Fang Demon Lord. These men have had all their courage frightened out of them.

How could she bring their courage back?

"Can you find ten men?" Zhao Xiaowan asked Yao Xin. "If ten Iron-boned Men lead the way, the others will have the courage to charge with them."

Ten Iron-boned Men could form the most basic formation. As long as there were no cowards among them, Zhao Xiaowan was confident she could lead them as the vanguard.

"Yes!" Yao Xin answered with confidence. He rode his horse around the formation several times, and his confidence gradually waned.

Fear is contagious. Now, the entire army was gripped by fear.

Pan Dehai sighed beside him. He could read people's hearts. Among the Iron-boned lineage present, no more than five were not timid, and that included Yao Xin.

Boom! Boom!

The Demon Lord ordered the second drumbeat.

Pan Dehai looked helplessly at the Suihuang Iron Cavalry beside him. He couldn't even find ten brave men, and he truly worried they would break and flee amidst the drumming.

He looked into the distance and sensed a hint of fighting spirit.

"Old Yao," Pan Dehai asked, pointing at the old stableman and the group of men around him, "who are those virtuous people?"

Yao Xin remained silent, looking at Zhao Xiaowan.

Zhao Xiaowan lowered her head, gritting her teeth hard. "I let them down…"

She rode her warhorse, slowly emerging from the formation.

Yao Xin gasped, "Marshal, are you going to…"

Zhao Xiaowan raised a hand, signaling Yao Xin not to speak further.

She stood at the front of the formation and began to sing the war song of yesteryear:

*In spring, green grass grows, battle robes are finely sewn.**In summer, red flowers bloom, drums and horns thunder.**In autumn, yellow leaves fall, enemy heads are taken on the battlefield.**In winter, white snow flies, blood is shed to honor heroes.*

A cold wind swept across Mayang Slope.

The wind carried the deafening sound of war drums, yet even then, the lady's singing remained remarkably clear. Every soldier heard each word distinctly.

It was the most beautiful song they had ever heard. After hearing it, they still felt fear, but at least they no longer trembled.

The old stableman looked towards Zhao Xiaowan. He was some distance from the formation, and the glare of the snow was dazzling. He couldn't quite see Zhao Xiaowan clearly, but he recognized Huang Yuxian's voice.

Old Liu the carter walked over, squatted beside the stableman, and chuckled, "I say, are we doing this?"

The stableman looked at Old Liu. "What are you 'doing'?"

"What do you think?"

"If you don't say it, how would I know, you son of a turtle?"

"Stop messing with me! You know exactly what. I've brought the horses!" Old Liu pointed to over thirty horses in the distance.

The stableman glanced at them and shook his head. "These horses aren't the right breed!"

Old Liu said, "Don't worry about the breed; these horses run incredibly fast! Don't believe me? Try riding one!"

Suihuang Iron Cavalry: horses are always with them.

The stableman remained silent. Chen Yongnian, the restaurant owner from the underground city, walked over, accompanied by about thirty more people.

He unslung a large wooden box from his back. "I've brought the sabers too, freshly sharpened last night."

He opened the wooden box. He didn't know what mechanism was inside, but it miraculously held over thirty cavalry sabers and thirty sets of armor.

Suihuang Iron Cavalry: sabers are always with them.

"Damn it all!" The stableman picked up a cavalry saber. "Are you trying to get me killed?"

"If you're afraid to die, why are you here?" Old Liu, saber in hand, put on his armor. "I'm just asking if you're in?"

The stableman held the saber, felt its edge, and looked at the others. "That Peddler gave me a sum of silver back then. I spent half of it, and the other half is buried under my house. After the war, whichever of you turtle-sons survives, take a hoe and dig it up. Split it evenly. Don't you dare say I treated you unfairly!"

Tan Jinxiao chuckled. "What are you talking about? Do we need you to worry about money? All the money I've earned over the years is for us brothers. After the war, we'll spend it freely! Just say the word, are we taking them on or not?"

The second drumbeat concluded. The Demon Lord ordered his soldiers to prepare their weapons.

The Demon Lord had already issued the command: after three drumbeats, no quarter would be given; they would all be trampled into a pulp.

The old stableman put on his armor, mounted his warhorse, and gripped his saber.

He held the reins, turned his horse's head, looked at the crowd, and shouted, "If anyone's chickening out, tell me!"

His voice cracked, but among the thirty-odd people, not one made a sound.

He turned his horse's head back, faced the Tu Fang formation, and shouted again, "No cowards? Then charge with me!"

The sabers were rusted, but their edges gleamed.

The warhorses were of a different breed, but they ran fast.

Their hair had turned white, hidden beneath their iron helmets and dusted with snowflakes in the wind; it wasn't very noticeable.

They were old.

They charged at the very front.

They followed Huang Yuxian, charging at the very front.

Lu Chunying looked at their retreating figures and asked, "Who are they?"

Chu Er, wearing a bowler hat, imitated Li Banfeng, pulling the brim low.

Xiao Yeci wiped the wind and snow from her face. She didn't know how to answer Lu Chunying's question.

Zhang Xiuling ordered the Hundred Flowers Sect to prepare for battle. She too watched the backs of those people, murmuring, "They are the people of Prolo State, the true masters of Prolo State!"

The Demon Lord frowned. He didn't understand why these thirty-plus people were charging forward to their deaths.

But Yao Xin understood: fear is contagious, and so is courage, especially among the Iron-boned lineage.

With these thirty-plus Iron-boned Men leading the charge, the more than ten thousand Iron-boned lineage behind them were no longer afraid.

"Suihuang Iron Cavalry! Charge with me!" Yao Xin swung his flask, spraying a mist of alcohol.

Over ten thousand Iron Cavalry, fueled by the alcohol, charged towards the Tu Fang military formation.

This time, the Demon Lord wasn't laughing.

"Prepare for battle, quickly!" He hadn't expected the enemy to still be able to charge.

The Tu Fang cavalry also charged. They rode steam-powered mounts, wore armor that covered them to their fingertips, and wielded weapons that cut through iron like mud.

In the first clash, the Suihuang Iron Cavalry suffered no disadvantage, forcing their way into the Tu Fang Kingdom's formation.

Their physiques were not as robust as the Tu Fang soldiers, nor was their weaponry as superior, yet during the fierce battle, not a single Iron-boned man retreated.

Fifth Lady ordered the Chu family, Lu family, and Hundred Flowers Sect: "Divide into three routes and follow me to assassinate their generals!"

After a short, fierce battle, Chu Er, Xiang Fenglan, Lu Chunying, Lu Yuanxin, and Tan Fucheng all charged into the enemy formation. On the right flank, they killed two generals, and the Tu Fang Kingdom's right wing showed signs of collapse.

The Demon Lord, realizing the gravity of the situation, immediately dispatched three high-ranking generals to support the right flank.

Fifth Lady focused on the fight, gritting her teeth and restraining herself for a long time. Eventually, she could no longer hold back.

These three high-ranking generals resembled wild boars, each fatter and stronger than the last.

Zhao Xiaowan had reminded Fifth Lady that it was fine to eat a lot at home, but when out, she had to be more reserved.

But Fifth Lady couldn't be reserved now; she was craving their bodies!

She leaped onto one general and started biting directly!

Xiao Yeci trembled all over. "Oh my god, she's eating people!"

Chu Er lifted her hat brim and watched for a long time, so engrossed that she didn't notice a stray arrow flying towards her from behind.

Xiang Fenglan grabbed Chu Er from behind and quickly fled to a distance. "What are you staring at? Do you have a death wish!"

Chu Er looked at Fifth Lady, swallowed, and said, "I think this person is fiercer than me!"

Of the three high-ranking generals, Fifth Lady ate two, and the remaining one was besieged and killed by the Chu and Lu families.

The Tu Fang army fell into disarray, and the Suihuang Iron Cavalry seized the opportunity to break through their right flank.

The Demon Lord hastily redeployed generals to the right flank, while Zhang Xiuling took the opportunity to lead her people into the left flank.

Generals, both high and low, were exhausted trying to cope, and their soldiers were being eroded layer by layer. The Demon Lord felt the battle before him wasn't real; his left head even used a truth-seeking artifact to check for illusions on the battlefield.

It must be an illusion. He had expected the enemy wouldn't dare fight at all, and would simply hand over Huangtu Town.

The Demon Lord had brought his troops here to take over Huangtu Town, but judging by the current situation, he was almost losing.

Impossible!

The roaring war drums still echoed in his ears. It was still too early to declare victory or defeat.

First, he had to subdue the Suihuang Iron Cavalry as quickly as possible; the remaining scattered irregulars were nothing to fear.

Just as the Demon Lord was about to issue new orders, he suddenly heard singing faintly mixed with the sound of the war drums.

An old general, sweating profusely, said, "Your Majesty, please take temporary cover."

"Temporary cover?" the Demon Lord retorted angrily. "From whom?"

"Huang Yuxian is coming!"

"Who is she? Why should I avoid her?" The Demon Lord pondered for a moment, recalling Huang Yuxian's identity. "I remember she was just a deceased general. Don't you have tactics for dealing with the undead?"

The old general had fought against Huang Yuxian before. "Your Majesty, this is a battlefield. When encountering Huang Yuxian on the battlefield, you must try to avoid her. Never act rashly!"

Late at night, the Demon Lord, with his remnant army of over two thousand, fled deep into the wasteland.

He should have listened to the old general. If he had avoided her earlier, the outcome wouldn't have been like this.

His left head had been gnawed off by Fifth Lady.

His right head had listened to Zhao Xiaowan sing a song.

Now, this right head could still breathe, but it couldn't hear or see. Its throat trembled incessantly, yet it couldn't utter a word.

The old general who had previously urged the Demon Lord to take cover was now secretly observing the Demon Lord's right head.

He suspected that Huang Yuxian had left a mark on this head, but he couldn't say it outright now.

What would happen if he said it outright? Tell the Demon Lord to chop off his own head?

But what consequences would ensue if this mark remained on the Demon Lord's body indefinitely!

His middle head was still relatively intact. He ate something and discussed the next steps with his generals.

Not many generals had survived, and their opinions were divided.

"Your Majesty, we should continue to hold our ground in Suihuang Wasteland. What we need now is reinforcement."

"Your Majesty, I also believe we should remain in Suihuang Wasteland. The road from the kingdom to Suihuang Wasteland is currently clear. As long as we reorganize our forces, we still have a chance to turn defeat into victory."

"Your Majesty, I believe we should abandon Suihuang Wasteland and immediately return to the capital. We've lost too many soldiers. If we continue fighting here, other unforeseen events might occur in the kingdom!"

"But if we leave Suihuang Wasteland now, wouldn't our soldiers' blood have been shed in vain?"

"I agree. Since you've come, you should stay here with your soldiers!"

A general angrily exclaimed, "Who is so insolent? Is this how one speaks to the King?"

Li Banfeng lowered the brim of his hat and said, "I think my attitude is quite good!"
