A vast hall, capable of holding tens of thousands, was lined with two rows of towering pillars. At the far end of the pillars stood a tall altar, where a blazing fire leaped and danced. Water mist and smoke permeated the entire hall.
Two centipedes, one blue and one brown, forged from steel, coiled and writhed on the altar. Periodically, they released large plumes of white mist. These dance-like movements constituted their sacrificial ritual to the gods before battle.
Numerous worms filled the hall, greedily devouring coal as they watched the ritual.
When the ritual concluded, the blue centipede emitted a low growl: "Subordinates, assemble!"
Some worms gathered beneath the altar, while others found it impossible to tear themselves away from their coal.
This was their fullest meal, and quite possibly their last.
With a roar, the blue centipede exhaled a blast of scorching steam that spread throughout the hall.
In response to the blue centipede's roar, the steam within the worms' bodies reacted, raising their internal temperature and pressure, causing them to writhe in agony on the ground.
This was the blue centipede's punishment and warning to the worms.
"Humble subordinates, you now have the honor of becoming warriors. This is glory to cherish for a lifetime. Prepare for battle."
A gate rotated, and the exit beneath the altar slowly opened. The blue centipede was about to issue orders to begin the second offensive.
The brown centipede spoke: "We should send in the subordinates, commoners, scholars, and high officials all at once. Our fighting force should not be scattered."
The blue centipede retorted: "Our vanguard was wiped out in an instant. There's clearly an unexpected development on the enemy's side. We must probe further, otherwise, sending more soldiers would be utterly futile."
The brown centipede twitched its antennae, steam hissing from its mandibles: "You think the Luo family still has a chance, and you're trying to buy them time."
"Nonsense!" the blue centipede roared, enraged. "I am the general in this battle. It's not your place to dictate!"
The brown centipede replied: "I fear your personal biases might jeopardize the battle. The Peddler will be here soon, and once he arrives, it will be too late."
The blue centipede declared: "Don't you worry! Just watch me slaughter those bastards until rivers of blood flow!"
Li Banfeng said: "I think rivers of blood would be excellent."
The brown centipede scoffed: "Rivers of blood? What makes you think you're capable of that?"
The blue centipede angrily retorted: "How do you know I'm not capable of that?"
Li Banfeng said: "Even if rivers of blood are not achievable, a dismemberment by five horses would be good."
The two centipedes froze for a moment, then looked at Li Banfeng simultaneously.
The blue centipede's body suddenly twisted, and in the blink of an eye, its head detached from its torso.
The torso continued to writhe, then instantly broke into several pieces.
All the remnants vanished instantly, their destination unknown.
The brown centipede gasped in horror, issuing repeated low growls, ordering everyone to prepare for battle immediately.
Worms swarmed from all sides, surrounding the altar so tightly that not even a drop of water could pass.
The brown centipede frantically searched for Li Qi's whereabouts, then suddenly felt its body stiffen, several joints refusing to obey.
It saw itself flying into the air, yet its body remained rooted to the spot.
The brown centipede's vision blurred. It saw steam spewing from the severance at its neck.
It watched its body tear into pieces, and its head, along with the fragments, was sent into a dark room by an invisible force.
Li Banfeng stood mid-air, a halo of light spreading outwards from beneath his feet in all directions.
Wherever the halo reached, worms writhed and rolled on the ground, steam overflowing from their bodies.
Li Banfeng recalled the halo, sweeping it over the worms once more.
Some worms ceased movement, but most continued to struggle.
These worms clearly weren't formidable in combat, but their vitality was indeed tenacious.
Li Banfeng charged into the worms, repeatedly using his "Stepping Through Ten Thousand Rivers" technique, clearing vast swathes with each strike, intending to sweep them all away.
A screeching sound!
The hall's ceiling cracked, and a fly dropped from the second floor into the hall below.
The fly landed silently in front of Li Banfeng, flapped its wings, and a gust of wind swept through, dispersing the mist in the hall.
Its wings appeared to be over three meters long, as thick and heavy as aircraft wings, yet they opened and closed agilely on the fly's back.
Li Banfeng asked: "Are you what they call a commoner?"
The fly did not answer. It extended its two front legs and rubbed them together over its massive head.
Deeming the rubbing insufficient, Li Banfeng waved a hand, sending out two shadows that twisted off the fly's head.
The headless fly crashed around wildly, its wings slicing through large numbers of worms wherever they struck.
Li Banfeng used his "Unrestricted Movement" technique to dart behind a stone pillar, evading the fly's wings. He then casually drew his scythe, pierced it through the pillar, and hacked the fly to pieces.
Three gigantic longhorn beetles descended from the second floor. One hovered above, while the other two cornered him on the ground. Their coordination was seamless, and their combat power far surpassed that of the fly.
Li Banfeng dodged left, and the beetles moved to intercept. Li Banfeng retreated, and they immediately pursued. Then, Li Banfeng vanished, and all three beetles exploded, scattering undigested coal across the floor.
Li Banfeng lingered in the hall, pondering. Was there some special intention behind these Inner Prefecture commoners fighting in scattered groups?
Looking at the altar, he realized the reason.
The commoners' fighting strength was far superior to that of the worms, who were referred to as subordinates. However, they had lost their commanders and were left without direction, leading to uncoordinated attacks.
Once they found a suitable battle rhythm, the fight would become much more difficult.
On the hall's walls, two pipes cracked open, and a swarm of ants emerged from the steam.
The third floor's ceiling opened, and a large swarm of hornets roared in.
As Li Banfeng had anticipated, these Inner Prefecture commoners spontaneously launched a coordinated assault. Li Banfeng, accompanied by a dozen shadows, engaged them in a chaotic battle within the hall.
A group of dragonflies and mosquitoes swooped down, and a large number of woodlice scurried among the ants. The "commoners" gathered in ever-increasing numbers, hundreds strong. If this were outside the "hornet's nest," in an open area, Li Banfeng would undoubtedly be at a disadvantage against such a multitude of "commoners."
However, the hall's limited space prevented the "commoners" from fully utilizing their numerical advantage. Li Banfeng directed his shadows to occupy advantageous positions, and in moments, bodies littered the floor.
A woodlouse over a meter long coiled around Li Banfeng's right leg, about to bite, but Li Banfeng swiftly cut it down with his blade. A dragonfly seized Li Banfeng by the shoulder and dragged him into mid-air.
Dozens of flying insects swarmed from all directions, attempting to tear Li Banfeng apart. Just as Li Banfeng swapped positions with a shadow, the dragonfly's wings fell off.
Ling Baitao had ripped off the dragonfly's wings and charged into the hall with a group of warriors from White Falcon County.
Li Banfeng looked up and asked: "Didn't I tell you to stay outside and count? Why are you all inside?"
Ling Baitao laughed: "We were afraid of miscounting outside. It's much clearer to count in here!"
In the prison cell, Pharmacist Lang Daoshou lay by the bars, listening intently to the commotion outside.
Physician Xie Bahang asked: "Do you hear anything?"
Lang Daoshou shook his head: "Nothing at all. I guess the subordinates are finished fighting."
"Impossible, isn't it?" Xie Bahang said, a little nervous. "I just heard the subordinates crying out, quite impressively."
Lang Daoshou sighed: "Impressive? They cried out because they were scared. Do you really think they aren't afraid of death?"
Xie Bahang shook his head: "It certainly wasn't out of fear. This is their chance to earn merit and change their fate."
"Change their fate? Is it ever that easy?" Lang Daoshou sighed. "White Falcon County has been fighting for so many years. Have they ever won? This is all a trick, deceiving them into their deaths! Dragging us along to our deaths too!"
Physician Shan Yuzhu opened her clam shell: "Old Lang, watch your words."
"At this point, what 'words' are there to watch?" Lang Daoshou waved his mantis arm, looking at Shan Yuzhu and Xie Bahang. "You all know the rules. After the subordinates are done, the commoners go in. After the commoners, it's the scholars.
It'll be our turn soon. If you have anything to say, say it quickly, or you won't get another chance!"
Xie Bahang indeed had something to say: "Old Lang, Yuzhu, we've been colleagues for so many years. Now that it's come to this, I have a favor to ask. You must promise me!"
Shan Yuzhu nodded: "Tell us whatever it is."
Xie Bahang sighed: "Throughout my life, I've been loyal to the court. Although I haven't served in the military, whenever there was talk of war, Old Xie never cowered.
Now that I'm truly heading to the battlefield, there's just one thing I ask of you two. Please remember how I fought, how I killed, and how I died on the battlefield.
When you report back to the court, you absolutely must not leave me out. I don't ask for great merit; I only ask that my family not be troubled and that Old Xie be remembered with a good name!"
Upon hearing this, two eyes welled up on Shan Yuzhu's clam flesh, and they turned red. "Old Xie, we can't help you with that."
Xie Bahang was stunned: "Yuzhu, what do you mean? You don't even want to relay a single word for me?"
Shan Yuzhu sobbed: "You're one of the strongest fighters in the pharmacy. If you can't survive, how can we possibly return to Chaoge alive? None of us three will escape; we'll all die here today!"
Lang Daoshou waved his mantis arm: "Don't say that. If you want to die, go ahead, but don't drag me into it. Once we're on the battlefield, I'll surrender. I don't care about disgrace, as long as I keep my life, I'll do anything!"
Xie Bahang glanced at the other side of the cell and whispered: "Don't talk nonsense! You'll get us all in trouble!"
Lang Daoshou raised his mantis arm, pointing it at Xie Bahang's head: "Old Xie, how can you say that? Don't you know who's really to blame here?
Yuzhu found a way out for us, but you were too afraid to take it. We finally convinced you to go, and then you, of all people, went crawling to the Luo family to express your gratitude."
Xie Bahang lowered his head and said: "The Luo family treated us well. Shouldn't we express our gratitude?"
"Bullshit! The Luo family asked us to decipher a prescription, and we couldn't figure it out. What does it mean for you to suddenly go thank them? Do you think the Luo family is stupid and won't see through it?"
Shan Yuzhu stepped forward and covered Lang Daoshou's mouth: "Old Lang, please say no more."
Lang Daoshou pushed Shan Yuzhu away: "What difference does it make how much I say? We're already here. What's so special about your Luo family? Aren't you all locked in the same prison?
Today, if we die, we die together. If we live, we live together. If we surrender, we go out and kneel together. If we don't surrender, we go out and lie down together!"
Lang Daoshou extended his mantis arm, pointing at Luo Lijun, who was in the same cell.
Luo Lijun was furious, but Luo Yanjun stopped her: "Sister, don't be angry. Let's think of a strategy first."
Outside the cell, a great commotion erupted, filled with shouts.
Lang Daoshou lowered his voice: "There's no other strategy now. If you want to live, you have to surrender."
Young Snail Luo Shaojun said: "Don't just talk about surrendering. Your entire family is in the court's hands. Are you abandoning them, regardless of their fate?"
"I can't care about them anymore," Lang Daoshou shook his shrimp head. "I've finally understood these past two days. It's because I cared too much that I ended up like this.
Even if we die fighting on the battlefield today, our families won't fare any better. There are countless examples. After a lost battle, entire families are demoted to subordinates, and might even be melted down and reforged, only to be sent back to the battlefield to die. Rather than that, we should secure a way out for ourselves first!"
Luo Lijun spat: "Cowardly trash, I don't want to hear your nonsense!"
Luo Lijun's younger sister, Luo Xiujun, spoke: "I don't think he's talking nonsense. I actually think what he's saying makes sense!"
Luo Lijun angrily said: "What are you trying to do? Don't forget you're different from him. You're a high official, not of the same status as him!"
Another younger sister, Luo Yujun, wriggled closer to Luo Lijun: "What good is being a high official? Among the entire Luo family, aren't you the only one considered a regional lord?
Now you're in prison too. So tell me, what benefits have we sisters gained by associating with your family?
We've seen no good things, but when it comes to dying, you remember us sisters? If you want to die, go ahead. My sisters and I have decided to surrender with Old Lang and the others!"
"You dare!" Luo Lijun and Luo Yujun began to fight, with others trying to separate them.
Lang Daoshou was still listening to the sounds outside the cell: "It's quiet again out there. I guess the commoners have all been wiped out!"
Xie Bahang continuously wiped his tears with his antennae: "Old Xie will be loyal to the court today."
Shan Yuzhu whispered: "Don't say such disheartening things. There might still be a turn for the better."
Lang Daoshou said: "I hear footsteps. Someone's coming, probably the jailer. Looks like we have to go out and fight."
Luo Shaojun asked: "Are we going out to fight together? Aren't the scholars supposed to go first, then the high officials?"
Luo Yanjun said: "Silly girl, there are only a few scholars and high officials here. If we fight separately, it would truly be suicide."
Luo Yujun said: "Actually, we should have fought with the commoners, and even brought some subordinates. Only then would there be any hope of victory."
Lang Daoshou sighed: "Even if everyone went in together, there wouldn't be a shred of a chance."
While everyone speculated, Luo Lijun remained silent. She was afraid.
First, she feared death; it would be a lie to say she didn't.
Second, she feared Luo Yujun and Luo Xiujun's surrender, which would implicate her entire Luo clan.
Luo Yanjun reminded them: "Xiujun, Yujun, don't forget, given our status, even if we surrender, the Peddler will never let us go!"
Luo Xiujun was persistent: "No one can say for sure about this. If we die by the Peddler's hand, we accept it. But if we survive, that's a gain for us!"
Footsteps approached. Lang Daoshou's breathing quickened, and Xie Bahang clenched his pincers.
A figure in a black suit appeared at the cell door. It wasn't the jailer.
Luo Shaojun froze for a moment, then suddenly cried out: "Young Master Li!"
"Who's calling me?"
Li Banfeng looked into the cell: a mantis shrimp he didn't recognize.
Also a crab and a clam he didn't recognize.
Of the remaining five snails, three he probably knew, but they all looked so similar that they were hard to distinguish at a glance. Only one snail was noticeably smaller.
"Is that Shaojun?" Li Banfeng asked.
"It's me!" Luo Shaojun was overjoyed. "Young Master Li, have you come to rescue us?"
Li Qi stood outside the bars, pointing at the other snails and asking: "And who are they?"
Luo Yanjun said: "Young Master Li, don't you recognize us three? Yujun and Xiujun are also our sisters."
Luo Lijun said: "Young Master Li, how did you get to our main camp?"
By their voices, Li Banfeng identified them, but he couldn't quite understand the current situation. How did these five snails end up in a prison cell? Weren't they nobles from the Inner Prefecture?
Li Banfeng opened the cell. Lang Daoshou shouted: "Who are you?"
After his shout, Lang Daoshou hid behind Xie Bahang, who in turn hid behind Shan Yuzhu.
They didn't recognize Li Banfeng, but they were certain of one thing: he was definitely not one of their kin. He must be from Plume State.
Shan Yuzhu, being somewhat perceptive, heard the Luo sisters call him Young Master Li. She tentatively asked: "Are you Young Master Li Qi?"
Li Banfeng nodded slightly.
Luo Shaojun rushed forward, continuously rubbing her antennae against Li Banfeng: "Seventh Brother, help us!"
Luo Yanjun said: "Young Master Li, we are in distress."
Luo Lijun, being proud, stood silently aside. Li Banfeng asked: "What exactly happened?"
Luo Yanjun said: "Young Master Li, this isn't the place to discuss matters. I don't know how you snuck in, but let's find somewhere else to talk in detail."
Li Banfeng shook his head: "I didn't sneak in. I fought my way in. If you have anything to say, say it here."
"Fought his way in?"
Luo Lijun looked outside the cell. Indeed, since Li Qi's arrival, there had been no commotion outside.
Luo Yanjun asked: "Young Master Li, have you killed everyone in the camp?"
Li Banfeng looked around: "You call this place a camp? Yes, everyone is likely dead, but I didn't kill them all by myself."
This was true. Li Banfeng had stormed the "hornet's nest," and Ling Baitao, leading the residents of Five Islands, had charged in to fight alongside him.
The battle was fierce, catching the Inner Prefecture completely off guard. All Inner Prefecture people in the hornet's nest were annihilated, with only this single prison cell remaining, deep within the "hornet's nest," which Li Banfeng had just discovered.
Ling Baitao shouted from the corridor: "Friend, what's your situation in there?"
Li Qi replied: "My situation here is a bit special. Please wait a moment before coming in."
"We're gathering some supplies and will leave soon. You should hurry too; this hornet's nest could retract at any moment."
As Ling Baitao walked away, Luo Shaojun said to Li Banfeng: "Seventh Brother, they're right. Our main camp could fly back to Chaoge at any time. Let's go outside before we talk!"
"Go outside?" Li Banfeng scanned the group. "What do you intend to do out there?"
"Surrender!" Luo Yujun answered decisively. "Young Master Li, we've heard of your reputation and know you are a man of loyalty and integrity. Our bond with the Luo family has never been broken. I beg you to spare our lives."
Like Luo Shaojun, Luo Yujun bowed her head, meekly rubbing Li Banfeng's trousers with her antennae.
Luo Lijun cursed at Luo Yujun: "Look at your servile expression! You're truly bringing shame upon the Luo family!"
Luo Xiujun didn't hesitate either, crawling over to Li Banfeng and rubbing his trousers. Luo Yanjun said to Luo Lijun: "Sister, you heard it too. Young Master Li said there's no one left alive here."
Luo Lijun bitterly said: "What do you want? To rub his trousers along with them?"
Luo Yanjun grew angry: "What's the point of acting so high and mighty? Weren't you rubbing against Ma Junyang enough back then? Not to mention his trousers, wasn't there any part of him you didn't rub against?
I'm talking about something serious. There's no one alive left in the camp. Even if we surrender, Chaoge might not even know."
Luo Lijun thought for a moment, then quietly said: "That's true."
Hearing this, Lang Daoshou immediately approached Li Banfeng: "Young Master Li, are you injured? Let me apply some medicine."
Xie Bahang was not idle either, waving his two pincers: "Young Master Li, it's been a while since you've had your hair styled, hasn't it? Let me tidy it up for you."
Shan Yuzhu leaned in: "Young Master Li, you have a bump on your face. Let me squeeze it out for you."
Li Banfeng pushed them away and asked: "Do you truly wish to surrender?"
Luo Lijun, clinging to a last shred of hope, suggested: "If you could consider our past friendship and just let us go without requiring us to surrender..."
Li Banfeng frowned: "Are you dreaming?"
Luo Lijun lowered her head, silent. Luo Yanjun advised: "Sister, don't say anything more. Even if Young Master Li spares us, if we return to Chaoge with an empty camp, do you think they will spare us?"
Li Banfeng scanned the group: "If you wish to surrender, sign the contract as soon as possible. If not, you will be treated as an enemy resisting to the last, and none will be spared."
"How ruthless you are!" Luo Lijun muttered.
Li Banfeng's face darkened: "The moment you entered Plume State territory, you became its enemies. Go see how many White Falcon County warriors have fallen in battle. You call me ruthless, but who are they to seek justice from?"
Luo Shaojun said: "Seventh Brother, we were forced into this. The plague utterly devastated us..."
"Details can wait," Li Banfeng said, his expression cold. "No contract, no mercy!"
Li Banfeng produced the contract paper. Once the contract was written, the group in the cell wrote down their names and affixed their bloodied handprints.
Luo Shaojun said: "Seventh Brother, we are truly surrendering. You must protect us."
Luo Yanjun said: "According to the rules set by the Peddler, we are pure-blooded Inner Prefecture people. If we enter Plume State, he'll kill every one he sees. If we want to live, we are entirely dependent on you."
Luo Lijun said: "It's best that Chaoge doesn't know about our surrender, otherwise there are many things we won't be able to help you with."
Li Banfeng asked: "What is Chaoge?"
Luo Shaojun said: "That is our royal capital!"
Li Banfeng pondered for a moment: "Can you assume human form?"
Luo Lijun retreated into her shell. A short while later, a voluptuous beauty, clad in a green qipao, emerged from the shell.
In her transformed state, Luo Lijun had long, flowing black hair that framed her round cheeks, making her complexion appear even fairer.
Luo Yanjun also emerged from her shell, wearing a blue qipao. She was a little leaner than Luo Lijun, and two slightly thicker strands of hair, which were her antennae, still adorned her forehead.
These two women appeared to be around the same age, in their mid-twenties. Luo Shaojun, after transforming, looked much younger, only sixteen or seventeen, with two braided pigtails and wearing a student's long gown.
Although each had distinct features, the three sisters shared many physical similarities.
Luo Yujun and Luo Xiujun were different. They could also transform, but their heads remained outside their shells while their bodies stayed hidden within. They, too, were in their mid-twenties, yet their appearances bore no resemblance to the other three sisters.
The three sisters had round faces, while these two had long faces.
The three sisters had soft, rounded features, while these two had angular faces.
Given the many sisters in the Luo family, slight variations in appearance were understandable. Luo Lijun was the first to speak: "We cannot be too far from our shells, or we will immediately revert to our original forms.
My cultivation is higher than theirs, so I can be up to twenty meters from my shell. Yanjun can also be twenty meters away, Shaojun ten meters, and Yujun and Xiujun can only go a maximum of five meters."
At this point, Luo Lijun glanced at Luo Yujun and Luo Xiujun: "You two, can you please come out of your shells to talk?"
Luo Xiujun shook her head: "We can't really come out; we're not wearing any clothes inside."
Luo Lijun frowned: "At a moment of life and death, why are you still shy?"
Luo Yujun's face turned beet red: "Aren't we afraid of disgracing the Luo family?"
Luo Lijun spat: "Now you remember you're part of the Luo family?"
Lang Daoshou, Xie Bahang, and Shan Yuzhu each took off a piece of clothing and gave it to the two sisters. They cobbled them together, barely covering themselves, and the sisters emerged from their shells.
Li Banfeng looked at Lang Daoshou, Xie Bahang, and Shan Yuzhu. These three, all from the pharmacy, lacked the ability to transform. Li Banfeng instructed them to enter the snail shells.
The five snail maidens, each carrying her shell, followed Li Banfeng out of the cell. Ling Baitao, meanwhile, was still with the island residents, searching the "hornet's nest" for supplies.
Ling Baitao had clashed with the Inner Prefecture many times and had encountered such "hornet's nests" frequently, but this was his first time seeing the internal structure of one.
This massive spherical structure from the Inner Prefecture was a five-story building. The Luo sisters' cell was on the fourth floor. Ling Baitao found a large amount of coal in the hall, while others found numerous screws, gears, valves, and connecting rods on various floors.
For White Falcon County, every piece of metal was a rare resource. Taking everything they could, the group left the "hornet's nest" and returned to Peach Blossom Island.
Seeing the five women carrying shells on their backs, Ling Baitao asked: "Who are they?"
Li Banfeng wanted to tell the truth, but Luo Lijun was right. Once the news of the Luo sisters' capture spread, the Inner Prefecture would surely be on high alert, making many future plans impossible to execute.
"These five are my puppets. They're carrying enemy corpses on their backs, and I plan to take them back for some research."
Ling Baitao nodded: "How do you intend to return? I can escort you."
Li Banfeng asked: "How would you escort me? Do you have a way to cross the boundary?"
Ling Baitao shook his head: "I cannot cross the boundary, but White Falcon County is part of Plume State territory, so there's naturally a path that bypasses the boundary."
Li Banfeng was startled: "Are you talking about the New Land?"
Ling Baitao considered his words: "New Land might not be accurate. It should be called the New Sea, a very dangerous body of water, directly above us."
Li Banfeng looked up, observing the fish swimming in mid-air, then glanced at the hornet's nest suspended among the fish.
"When I went up just now, I didn't touch any seawater."
Ling Baitao pointed deep into the peach grove: "Although this hornet's nest can create whirlpools, it cannot reach the seawater. To touch the waters of the New Sea, you must climb that marked peach tree, stand at the very top of its canopy, and slowly enter the current.
Follow the correct direction within the New Sea, and you will find Plume State's coast and set foot on its land."
Li Banfeng looked in the direction Ling Baitao indicated and asked: "What kind of mark does that peach tree have?"
"The tree bears scars. It is the peach tree formed from the previous island master of Peach Blossom Island. Before he transformed, he had accumulated hundreds of scars on his body."
Li Banfeng then looked at the dense peach grove: "Have none of you ever let Inner Prefecture people climb that peach tree?"
Ling Baitao nodded: "As long as we can endure, we will keep enduring. Even if we cannot win, another friend from outside will surely come to help us."
Li Banfeng stared at the peach grove for a long time: "No wonder there are so many peach trees around that particular one."
Ling Baitao said: "Do you want me to take you there, friend?"
Li Banfeng shook his head. He could not allow Inner Prefecture people to set foot in the New Sea, nor could he let them climb that peach tree.
"How long have you been fighting here?"
"I can't recall. We have been in White Falcon County for generations."
"Have you never considered leaving?" Li Banfeng looked at the ocean above. Ling Baitao knew how to leave White Falcon County, and so did the others.
Ling Baitao caressed the branches and leaves of a peach tree that had just begun to bear fruit. "The White Peach Assembly is about to begin. Would you like to dance with us?"
Li Banfeng picked up a basket of peaches, bidding farewell to Plume State's bravest warriors.
