Chapter 569: Song and Dance Flourish

Agents from the research department stormed into the lab, followed by Li Banfeng and Geng Congyi.

Unaware of their identities, the agents mistook them for accomplices of the puppet, and a confrontation nearly ensued.

Li Banfeng presented his credentials, while Geng Congyi produced a bottle of golden-yellow liquid, consuming half of it.

This was a special coloring agent designed by the Dark Star Bureau. It could mark a person directly when sprinkled, and Dark Energy users could also apply it to targets using their techniques.

Once a Severer ingested the coloring agent, they could mark the source of dark energy while severing its connection.

In other words, if Geng Congyi could sever the dark energy connection to the puppet, he would be able to locate the Craftsman controlling it, marking them with a conspicuous yellow.

Based on Geng Congyi's experience, a Craftsman's control range typically didn't exceed ten meters. The Craftsman had to be nearby, and once exposed by the coloring agent, they wouldn't be able to escape.

Everyone awaited Geng Congyi's action. A gust of wind swept through, leaving numerous knife marks on the lab walls and equipment, each stained with conspicuous yellow.

However, no one saw the Craftsman. They only saw the puppet lying motionless beneath the resonance imager.

Li Banfeng suspected the Craftsman might be outside the lab. He scanned through the window with his Golden-Eyed Perception skill. Meanwhile, the puppet beneath the resonance imager slid backward on its back, then quickly stood up from a supine position without hardly bending its body, confronting everyone.

Geng Congyi was dumbfounded.

Having served as a special operative for so many years at the Dark Star Bureau, he had never failed before.

"Director, I used very dense blades just now—"

The blades were indeed dense; any dark energy connections in the room would certainly have been severed.

But now was not the time to discuss it. The puppet took two sideways steps, appeared before Geng Congyi, a dagger appearing in its hand, and swung to kill him.

Li Banfeng pushed Geng Congyi aside and kicked the puppet.

Given Li Banfeng's speed, his kick might not be fatal, but unless the opponent's cultivation overwhelmingly surpassed his, it would be extremely difficult to evade.

Unexpectedly, the puppet dodged it.

Its waist twisted to the left at an incredible angle, curving its body to avoid Li Banfeng's kick.

Maintaining the lower body's curve, its upper body twisted again, swinging the dagger towards Li Banfeng's neck.

As a puppet, any contortion made sense, but such speed was illogical.

Li Banfeng ducked to evade the dagger. The puppet took a step back, circled past the research agents, and reached the lab door.

Li Banfeng preemptively blocked the doorway, raising his Tang saber to slash at the puppet's legs.

The puppet had no vital points. Li Banfeng aimed for its legs to impede its movement.

The puppet did a backflip on the spot, evading the Tang saber, and even managed to kick Li Banfeng while airborne.

Li Banfeng dodged the kick, pulled out his wine gourd, and intended to set the puppet on fire.

The puppet made a series of quick hops, moving behind the spectrometer, dodging the wine gourd's spray.

The wine gourd wanted to spray a mist of wine, incinerating the entire lab.

Li Banfeng patted the wine gourd, stopping it.

The Medicine King's wine had limited power against high-level cultivators, but was far too potent for ordinary people.

If a wine mist were used for indiscriminate attack, putting out the fire afterward would be extremely difficult.

Moreover, this wasn't even the Craftsman himself. Aside from how precious the lab equipment was, the numerous people in the room couldn't be sacrificed along with a single puppet.

Li Banfeng pursued the puppet behind the spectrometer, exchanging a couple of blows. The puppet then slid under the cryo-stabilizer, and Li Banfeng slid in after it.

They exchanged a few moves beneath the cryo-stabilizer before the puppet emerged, taking two strides to get behind the unit.

Li Banfeng also strode around it, while the puppet slid around to the office desk.

Li Banfeng pursued it with a slide to the desk. The puppet then stepped its left foot forward, right foot to the left, spun twice in the aisle between two sets of equipment, and reached the window.

Li Banfeng didn't follow to the window. While circling with the puppet earlier, he accidentally stepped on a medicine bottle on the floor, spraining his hip.

This was the bottle of coloring agent Geng Congyi had. It had fallen to the floor when Li Banfeng pushed him aside.

What a coincidence to step on that particular bottle?

No, that wasn't the point. The point was, why was he circling with the puppet?

Li Banfeng couldn't figure it out either!

He possessed the skill to clear paths and move unhindered. Why would he circle with a puppet?

The puppet leaped out the window, then proceeded with a series of side slides, sprinting into the distance.

Li Banfeng put away the coloring agent and gave chase. Geng Congyi called for backup.

The puppet was fast in the lab, but in open spaces, it was at a disadvantage in terms of speed.

Though Li Banfeng had sprained his hip, he could not only run but also fly, quickly catching up to the puppet.

Dealing with just this puppet wasn't enough. Where was the Craftsman anyway?

While pursuing, Li Banfeng tapped his Thread-Pulling Earrings.

The Thread-Pulling Earrings were also nervous: "Master, I truly don't see any Craftsman around."

The puppet reached an intersection and was kicked to the ground from behind by Li Banfeng.

The puppet didn't crack and didn't seem to have sustained severe damage.

What kind of wood was this, to take such a heavy kick without even a splinter?

Li Banfeng was about to follow up with another strike when the puppet twisted its body, and a large truck driving on the road suddenly swerved sideways, crashing towards Li Banfeng.

Li Banfeng stopped the truck with a kick. The puppet continued its escape, but seeing Li Banfeng catching up again, it landed on one foot, stood on its toes, and spun in place.

What kind of move was this now?

Li Banfeng looked back to see a passenger bus, full of people, spinning and hurtling towards him.

He wanted to stop the bus with a kick too, but its position was awkward. If Li Banfeng kicked it, the bus would likely fly off the road, and everyone inside would be lost.

Li Banfeng first dodged the bus, then moved to a safe angle before stopping it with a kick.

During this time, Li Banfeng kept his eyes on the puppet.

As the puppet prepared to flee, its body trembled, giving a slight shiver.

What was going on?

Was it injured?

Mistake in judgment, this wasn't a puppet!

Taking advantage of the puppet's sluggish movement, Li Banfeng rushed forward, used 'Trampling Rivers and Mountains' behind it, and casually scattered the coloring agent.

Bang! After a cloud of dust, the puppet was covered in blood, its clothes dotted with golden-yellow marks.

So this 'puppet' was a living person! Let's see where you run now!

Having gained the upper hand, Li Banfeng swung his sickle, twisted his hip, and danced with the puppet.

What was happening? Why was he dancing again?

Not only was Li Banfeng dancing, but all the vehicles on the road were 'dancing' too.

Vehicles swayed and collided with each other, forming a long, writhing line on the road, inching towards Li Banfeng.

Li Banfeng had never encountered such an opponent. The person was within arm's reach; Li Banfeng could have cut off their head, blown up their body, or stomped them into a muddy mess.

But Li Banfeng couldn't. He could only dance, moving with the flow of traffic.

His body wasn't completely out of control; he could still use his skills.

He could activate 'Trampling Rivers and Mountains,' but he missed the puppet and nearly blew up a small car to his right.

Seeing the 'puppet' about to escape, Li Banfeng used 'Clearing Paths' to block its way, but a wall of earth rose from the ground, obstructing his own pursuit path instead.

Li Banfeng could discern the 'puppet's' current movements, but he couldn't predict its next move.

He could control his own body, but he didn't know what state it would be in next.

His perception of the environment, his opponent, and himself was distorted. This distortion stemmed from a skill Li Banfeng had never encountered before.

Shen Jingye arrived on the scene with reinforcements. With crossed arms and swaying hips, he shouted to the crowd:

"Support Director Li!"

A group of people, dancing fervent steps, charged forward.

After a chaotic melee, a group of people surrounded Li Banfeng, holding hands and dancing together. The 'puppet' slipped into the woods beside the highway and disappeared.

Li Banfeng regained control of his joints, stopped dancing, pushed away the crowd, and went to the edge of the forest to check for footprints and bloodstains. There were no footprints or bloodstains on the ground; this was an expert who had erased all traces.

Shen Jingye swayed his shoulders, shouting: "Forget about that puppet, Bureau Seven, let's find the Craftsman first!"

Li Banfeng shook his head: "There's no Craftsman. That person was likely Du Wenming."

"How is that possible?" Shen Jingye asked, twisting his waist while raking his fingers through his hair.

Li Banfeng shook his head: "I struck him with my saber, and it had the coloring agent on it. If you apprehend him and question him, you'll know."

Shen Jingye paused, then his face lit up. He no longer doubted Li Qi's judgment: "I'll contact Director Du first."

The entire road was in chaos. Cars had collided and stopped. People got out of their vehicles, dancing and arguing, yet no one seemed to realize there was anything wrong with their situation.

Shen Jingye twisted his hips as he called Du Wenming.

Du Wenming didn't answer.

He then called Du Wenming's home landline, but Du Wenming still didn't pick up.

He had agents stationed near Du Wenming's residence knock on the door, but there was no response.

Shen Jingye, still dancing, looked at Li Qi: "I think we can get an arrest warrant now."

Watching Shen Jingye's preening antics, Li Banfeng felt a strong urge to slap him twice.

The 'puppet' had already fled, so why was Shen Jingye still dancing? Why couldn't he stop?

Not only was Shen Jingye twisting, but the security officers behind him were also dancing. Mijian, with the best physique, danced the most enchantingly, attracting many passersby to join him.

Lightbulb's grease had seeped into his shoe soles, making his dance steps incredibly smooth.

Chen Changrui remained in his car. Relying on his basic skills as a Peeker, he seemed to sense something amiss, continuously resisting the urge to exit, though his legs were uncontrollably twitching.

Others went about their tasks: some inspecting vehicles, some directing traffic, some preparing for the next phase of the arrest operation. Yet everyone was dancing to the same cheerful rhythm.

"Stop dancing!" Li Banfeng suddenly flared up, startling everyone into trembling.

"Director Li, what's wrong? Who's dancing?" Shen Jingye didn't realize he was dancing, nor did anyone else.

From their perspective, the scene had been chaotic due to the fight between Li Banfeng and the 'puppet,' but now everyone was performing their duties normally. Only Li Qi's behavior seemed strange.

Chen Changrui slowly got out of the car, approached Li Banfeng, and whispered: "Director Li, I have Du Wenming's address here."

He slipped a piece of paper to Li Banfeng. He knew everyone's condition was abnormal and that by the time an arrest warrant was issued, it would be too late.

Li Banfeng took the note, left the scene, found a secluded spot, and then ascended into the air, flying to Du Wenming's detached villa.

No one was home at Du Wenming's residence. According to Shen Jingye's investigation, Du Wenming was unmarried, his parents were not with him, and a nanny helped with cooking and cleaning but didn't stay overnight.

The villa had two floors. Li Banfeng didn't see any wireless devices, magical artifacts, spiritual objects, or weapons.

Li Banfeng called Shen Jingye: "Issue a wanted order immediately for anyone with the coloring agent on them. Du Wenming isn't home; he has other hideouts in the city."

Hovering in the city's night sky, Li Banfeng gazed around.

Where did Du Wenming go?

Where did he hide Yu Yaoming?

Was that 'puppet' truly him?

Back at his Portable Residence, Li Banfeng took out a projector and played the footage of the recent battle.

During filming, the projector swayed constantly, causing the image to shake. The Phonograph watched for a long time before finally discerning Du Wenming's figure.

"Husband, is that a marionette?"

Madam's initial thought aligned with Li Banfeng's, but after watching for about ten minutes, she noticed something unusual: "This puppet has a magical artifact on it; it can use skills."

Li Banfeng asked: "Which Taoist sect's skill is this?"

"This is a Dance Cultivator's skill."

"Martial Cultivator? Don't Martial Cultivators lack skills?"

"Not Martial Cultivators skilled in combat, but Dance Cultivators proficient in dance. This skill is called 'Peaceful Song and Dance.'

When he dances alone, he can make those around him dance too. I never imagined a puppet could use an artifact's skill to such an extent."

"Madam, this isn't a puppet or an artifact. This is a cultivator!"

"How do you know, husband?"

Li Banfeng said: "During our confrontation, I kept my eyes on him. While dodging, I inadvertently used 'Glance of the Passing Steed.'

That strike injured him. If it were just a puppet, the 'Glance of the Passing Steed' skill should have been ineffective."

Hong Ying put down her eyebrow pencil and watched the video for a moment: "This shaky footage is making me dizzy. Our projector must have been affected by the skill too."

The Projector asked, bewildered: "I didn't feel shaky while filming."

The Glove wiggled its index finger: "During the fight, I wanted to see if he had any treasures on him, but I couldn't focus and found no opportunity to strike. I must have been affected by his skill and danced along with him then."

The wine gourd couldn't aim, and the Tang saber couldn't connect. All of them were likely interfered with by the Dance Cultivator at the time.

Li Banfeng asked: "Is a Dance Cultivator's skill so powerful that it can make magical artifacts dance?"

The Phonograph explained: "Magical artifacts possess spirituality, so they can indeed be affected by a Dance Cultivator's interference."

"What about those cars? Why were they dancing too?"

The Phonograph shook its head: "Given this person's cultivation level, they surely can't control inanimate objects. The cars swayed because their drivers were affected and experienced issues while driving.

The drivers were dancing while driving, wildly twisting their steering wheels."

Madam's explanation was reasonable, but one thing still didn't make sense.

"Why were so many people still dancing even after that 'puppet' escaped?"

Hong Ying eagerly interjected: "Because Dance Cultivator skills have lingering effects. After a skill is used, it can last for a period. How long the lingering effect lasts depends on the cultivation gap between the two parties.

During a battle, I once encountered a Dance Cultivator general who led thirty dancers and five hundred soldiers.

They nearly massacred my camp.

I still remember everyone in the camp, high and low, dancing like mad, letting the enemy cut them down without retaliation.

They didn't even know to fight back."

Li Banfeng imagined the battle scene, but couldn't quite grasp it.

He asked the Projector to demonstrate.

A general, leading thirty dancers, first infiltrated Hong Ying's camp, used a skill to make all of Hong Ying's subordinates dance.

Then her soldiers charged in and began to massacre the camp.

"Since your entire army was dancing, why weren't the enemy troops affected?"

Hong Ying said: "That's due to the lingering effects of the Dance Cultivator's skill. She first brought her dancers to disrupt the camp, then retreated with them.

Because the lingering effects were still active, my brothers were all dancing. But the enemy soldiers who charged in afterward hadn't been affected by the skill, so they were naturally unaffected. This caused me to suffer a great loss when the battle began."

"How did you survive that battle?"

Hong Ying thought carefully, then shook her head: "There was no special method. My cultivation was high, so after a couple of movements—

—I broke free from the skill.

Then I fought desperately against the enemy. Although their five hundred soldiers all had cultivation, I could resist them with my methods. After some time, my soldiers broke free, and we turned the tide of battle, winning.

But over thirty percent of my soldiers were killed."

According to Hong Ying's description, the Projector accurately recreated the battlefield scene. After watching it, Li Banfeng asked Hong Ying: "If you encounter her again, wouldn't you still be at a disadvantage?"

"I wouldn't be at a disadvantage again. At first, I saw her frail figure and even tears on the battlefield; she didn't look like a martial general at all, and I certainly underestimated her.

But after that battle, I never underestimated her again. In our second encounter, I closed in first and took her life directly, giving her no chance to act.

Qilang, remember this: when fighting a Dance Cultivator, you must not let them start dancing, unless your cultivation is higher than theirs. Otherwise, if you let them dance, you'll have almost no chance of winning."

Li Banfeng watched the video again, silent for a long time.

Hong Ying's tactic wasn't very realistic.

The Phonograph knew what was bothering Li Banfeng: "It's easy to say 'don't let the Dance Cultivator dance,' but it's not that simple, husband. If we're talking about walking speed, whether on flat plains or dangerous peaks, a Traveler Cultivator is much faster than a Dance Cultivator.

But if fighting in close quarters, at the same cultivation level, it's really hard to say who is faster between a Dance Cultivator and a Traveler Cultivator."

Hong Ying wasn't convinced: "A Traveler Cultivator is definitely faster, but Dance Cultivators are difficult to guard against. You don't know when they'll start dancing, or when you'll find yourself dancing along with them.

This Dance Cultivator is very special. Their footwork doesn't look like dancing; it truly looks like a marionette with stiff joints."

Li Banfeng nodded: "Yes, it really does. At first, I thought there was a Craftsman behind him."

The Phonograph asked: "Husband, where is this person now?"

"I don't know," Li Banfeng shook his head. "He might come for revenge at any time. How should I deal with him next time?"

Hong Ying turned around and continued to draw her eyebrows in the mirror: "Qilang, you just don't want to believe me. If you were a Scholar Cultivator, you could fight him with your flashy skills. If you were a Strength Cultivator, you could contend with him with your powerful attacks.

But since we are Traveler Cultivators, our moves must be swift. First, trap him with 'Clearing Paths,' then finish him off with 'Trampling Rivers and Mountains.' If you're not faster than him, there's no point fighting at all!"

"I'm a Home Cultivator, why are you talking to me about Traveler Cultivators?" Li Banfeng turned to Madam: "Do Home Cultivators have any means to deal with Dance Cultivators?"

"If husband were a proper Home Cultivator, hiding at home and waiting for him, there would be no need to fear him. But if husband encounters him outside the home, it won't be so easy to deal with.

Bolting the doors and windows might barely work, but you wouldn't gain the initiative, and might not even be able to deploy it. 'Counting Family Treasures' is very useful, but husband's skills aren't proficient. 'Shadow Puppet' depends on timing; if used at the wrong moment, even your shadow will have to dance—

A deep estate or courtyard would be a good counter. Husband can borrow a skill from this humble servant here: sing him a song during the fight.

Just like singing, dancing follows rhythm and beat. If the rhythm of your song doesn't match the Dance Cultivator's beat, it should disrupt their footwork. Once their dance steps are thrown off, it won't be too difficult for husband to defeat them."

"That's a good idea," Li Banfeng nodded. "I even used this trick against Chu Zikai."

Hong Ying shook her head: "Qilang, you're oversimplifying things. Back then, it was a Sound Cultivator against a Sound Cultivator, and Xiaowan was a master of Sound Cultivation, so you naturally gained an advantage by borrowing his methods. But now, you want to use Sound Cultivation against Dance Cultivation. Who will disrupt whose rhythm—

—is still uncertain!"

The Phonograph turned its large horn towards Hong Ying, clouds of steam rolling from its mouthpiece, seemingly annoyed.

But Hong Ying was right. From the moment in the lab, Li Banfeng had been led by the Dance Cultivator's rhythm. If it was like that in a fight, singing would definitely also follow the opponent's dance rhythm.

"Husband, if you're not confident about seizing the initiative, it's best to avoid this person."

"What if I can't avoid him?"

"A Peeker has a slight advantage over a Dance Cultivator. If husband starts dancing with the Dance Cultivator, Thread-Puller should be able to detect some abnormality."

Hong Ying said: "By the time that dull earring detects an abnormality, Qilang will already be dancing along with the opponent. His hands won't be steady, his mind won't be calm, and his footsteps will be controlled by someone else. How can he fight then?"

The Phonograph couldn't think of a solution immediately. Li Banfeng called out: "Old man, can you offer some advice?"

His Portable Residence didn't respond. Hong Ying said: "That old man played with the good things you brought back, overworked himself, and has been asleep all day. Who knows when he'll wake up."

The Portable Residence always followed Li Banfeng. Even with the old man asleep, it didn't delay driving the train.

In truth, both Madam and Hong Ying made valid points. The crucial issue remained the initiative.

First, Li Banfeng decided to check for news from Shen Jingye. If a lead on Du Wenming could be found through the wanted order, that would be perfect. If Du Wenming could be eliminated directly, there would be no need to consider future countermeasures.

Shen Jingye returned to the Dark Star Bureau. He was no longer dancing, and even now, he had no idea what had happened to him at the scene, only that his waist felt a bit sore.

"The wanted order is out," Shen Jingye informed him. "We're now searching nationwide for anyone with the yellow coloring agent on them, but the photo used is this one." Li Banfeng looked at the wanted order; it featured a picture of the puppet.

This face was clearly not the real one.

"Why isn't Du Wenming's photo used?"

Shen Jingye explained: "The superiors haven't approved an arrest warrant. Du Wenming isn't a suspect yet, so his likeness and name cannot appear on the wanted order."

"Then have the superiors call Du Wenming in for questioning. If he's missing, it proves he was the 'puppet.'"

Shen Jingye handed Li Banfeng a leave request form: "Du Wenming filed for leave this afternoon. He said his mother was ill and he needed to go back to his hometown to visit her. His superiors approved the leave."

Li Banfeng looked at the leave form. Du Wenming's mother lived in Shiquan Province. According to the registered information on the form, he had already boarded a 7 PM flight that evening.

Shen Jingye said: "We sent people to check flight and railway information, and we've contacted our colleagues at the Shiquan Province branch office, asking them to stake out Du Wenming's hometown. As soon as Du Wenming returns home, we'll receive immediate notification."

"Do you think he'll really go back to his hometown?"

"He has to keep up appearances, after all, he asked for leave from his superiors."

"What if he doesn't go back? At most, he'd be concealing his whereabouts during leave. Is that a major crime?"

Shen Jingye assessed the scope of his capabilities: "If he doesn't return home, I can arrange an inspection to check if he has the coloring agent on him."

"Can't the coloring agent be washed off?"

"It can't be washed off, but it has a duration."

"How long does it last?"

"Three days."

Li Banfeng looked at the desk calendar: "If Du Wenming isn't caught within three days, he'll swagger back to Yuezhou and resume his original position. Little Shen, your life will be difficult then."

Shen Jingye understood his predicament and knew that it would be hard to catch Du Wenming with such a wanted order.

"We need both conventional and unconventional methods," Shen Jingye said, handing a stack of files to Li Banfeng. "Based on our initial deductions, the organization capable of abducting Yu Yaoming should be a Dark Energy organization with considerable strength.

We initially pinpointed two targets: the Birch Hermitage Society and the Ferrymen's Gang. The current information on both organizations is here. I'll handle the Hermitage Society, and you handle the Ferrymen's Gang. We should be able to find leads on Du Wenming through them."

Li Banfeng nodded with satisfaction: "Little Shen, you're being very proactive in your work this time!"

Shen Jingye pointed to a few names in the files: "These individuals are generally not high-ranking, but they are important members of the Ferrymen's Gang.

They have deep roots and wide connections. While they know a lot, we cannot use aggressive interrogation methods on them, as it would bring unfavorable consequences for us. We should also try to avoid these individuals during the investigation."

Li Banfeng pointed to a person named Guan Zhengzhang: "He seems to hold a high position in the Ferrymen's Gang; many deals pass through his hands."

Shen Jingye was silent for a moment, then said: "This is classified information. Some names shouldn't even appear in these files, and Guan Zhengzhang is one of them."

"Why shouldn't he appear?"

"Because he's the younger brother of Director Guan Zhengyang. It's best we don't investigate him. He won't cooperate with our investigation and might even cause significant trouble for it."

Li Banfeng was surprised: "This person is so arrogant. His cultivation must be very high, right?"

"Guan Zhengzhang's cultivation isn't high, but this isn't about cultivation, Director Li. Don't you know Director Guan?"

Li Banfeng shook his head: "I really don't know him."

Shen Jingye was at a loss for how to explain: "Let me put it this way: Last year, a Dark Star Bureau agent conducted a routine investigation into Guan Zhengzhang. Guan Zhengzhang publicly humiliated the agent, and they had a dispute.

Afterward, this agent had an accident on their way home from work, resulting in permanent disability, and was transferred out of the Dark Star Bureau. You should understand the implications here."

"So, according to you, we really can't go after this person." Li Banfeng took a pen and crossed out Guan Zhengzhang's name.

Late at night, Guan Zhengzhang returned to his villa. Two women approached to help him wash and change clothes.

One woman's fingernail split, accidentally scratching Guan Zhengzhang's arm.

Guan Zhengzhang frowned slightly but said nothing.

The woman, still shaken, cautiously followed Guan Zhengzhang to the bathroom door.

Guan Zhengzhang entered the bathroom, then suddenly picked up a glass ashtray, spun around abruptly, and smashed it onto the woman's head.

The woman crouched on the ground. Guan Zhengzhang stepped forward and kicked her face several times.

The woman's face was covered in blood. She dared not make a sound, nor even try to shield herself with her hands.

Guan Zhengzhang was in a very bad mood. Another woman, seeing the bath water ready, wanted to test the temperature, but Guan Zhengzhang slapped her and pushed her out.

"Get out!" Guan Zhengzhang closed the door and soaked alone in the hot water, repeatedly rubbing his forehead with the warm water.

Li Banfeng asked: "Did something bother you?"

Guan Zhengzhang startled, turned around, and said: "Who are you?"

Li Banfeng said: "I'm with Director Du. I'm here to investigate some matters with you."

"Which, which director—" Guan Zhengzhang instinctively reached for the fruit bowl next to the bathtub.

Li Banfeng took the fruit bowl, picked up a mango, and stuffed it into Guan Zhengzhang's mouth.

"You can't say his name, can you? Because you dare not."

Guan Zhengzhang leaped out of the bathtub, intending to fight Li Banfeng to the death.

Li Banfeng grabbed Guan Zhengzhang's hair and slammed his head against the faucet.

After the first impact, Guan Zhengzhang lost a few teeth but continued to resist.

After the second impact, a hole appeared on Guan Zhengzhang's face. He gestured to Li Banfeng, indicating his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

"Alright, let's find somewhere else to sit." Li Banfeng took Guan Zhengzhang back to his Portable Residence.

After dealing with Guan Zhengzhang, Li Banfeng looked at the list, found two more individuals, and prepared to gather them for a thorough conversation.

On his way home, he received a call from Shen Jingye: "Guan Zhengzhang is missing! He just returned to his villa, went into the bathroom, and then disappeared!"

Li Banfeng was stunned: "How could this happen? Is Du Wenming still in Yuezhou?"

Shen Jingye asked: "You mean, Guan Zhengzhang was silenced by Du Wenming?"

"Little Shen, Li Qi's compensation hasn't been enough yet!"
