Today's two chapters have been updated. The book will be available for purchase at midnight tonight, and if all goes as planned, VIP chapters should be released around 12:10 AM.
What follows is a message regarding the book's release.
After two months in its public release phase, *Library of Heaven's Path* is finally going on sale. The update schedule, which everyone has criticized, will enter 'crazy mode' starting at midnight.
Before getting into the main message, let me briefly discuss the book's performance. As of now, the number of favorites is just under 100,000, currently at over 99,900. At 2 PM this afternoon, it will receive a strong recommendation for new books on the client-side, and by midnight, it should easily gain another three to four thousand favorites (last time it was over five thousand). This means that before the official release, reaching 100,000 favorites should be no problem, and we might even exceed it by two or three thousand.
Webpage fan counts are no longer visible, but client-side fans have already exceeded 160,000. Recommendation votes have surpassed one million, we have four Alliance Leaders, one Grandmaster, and over three hundred fans at Apprentice level or above...
Of course... these accomplishments, though impressive, are ultimately meaningless. What truly matters is subscription, subscription, subscription (I'll say it three times because it's important). On Yuewen, a book only truly succeeds with good subscriptions; that's how it can conquer the heavens and slay the earth, earning better recommendations and higher visibility.
So, I, Lao Ya, would like to humbly ask for everyone's support through legitimate subscriptions. A single VIP chapter takes me at least four to five hours to write. For a premium VIP user, it's only a few cents. Yet, a subscription can feed my whole family... You can imagine my entire family living in a broken cave, begging for food daily, with rags for clothes, empty stomachs, pale with hunger, several family members sharing a single band-aid as a blanket at night, and the only light coming from static electricity...
*Cough, cough*, I can't keep this up.
While reality isn't that grim, subscribing to a chapter is like taking a few cents and proudly flinging them at my face, then raising your head imperiously and saying, "Here, spend it as you please!"
And then... I would look at you with a fawning expression, eyes gleaming seductively, saying, "You're so handsome, so handsome, so handsome... (I'll say it three times because it's important)..."
Just imagining this scenario is exciting!
*Cough, cough*, enough rambling. According to typical release messages, I should talk about how miserable I am. But am I the kind of person who cries for sympathy? Would I tell you that I write from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, at an altitude of over three thousand meters? Would I tell you that I suffer from cervical spondylosis and tenosynovitis, and that writing every night gives me splitting headaches, forcing me to rely on oxygen? Would I tell you that my heart often aches for an unknown reason...?
Oops, my bad, I let it slip again.
In short, after seeing all this, if you don't subscribe after the release, won't you feel guilty towards me? No worries, I'm very generous. Even if you abuse me a thousand times, I'll treat you like my first love. This is my integrity and noble character! (*Tsk tsk*, such character, absolutely fantastic, in extreme narcissism.)
So, are you impressed by my excellent qualities? Just imagine how delightful it would be to subscribe to such a wonderful person!
Enough chitchat, now let's talk about the burst of updates everyone is most concerned about.
My reputation on Qidian is well-known to those who've followed my work; for those who haven't, let me enlighten you... I was Qidian's first "Emperor of One Hundred Updates," the guy who caused a sensation by releasing a hundred chapters. Now, at author conventions, if I say my name, no one pays attention. But if I say "Emperor of One Hundred Updates," everyone looks at me with a reverent yet somewhat skeptical gaze, thinking I'm so great (or pretending to be great)!
How many updates will there be when the book is released? Of course, I'll add a little more on top of a hundred updates; otherwise, how would it fit my identity as the "Emperor of One Hundred Updates"?
As for readers asking how much "a little more" is, well, obviously, it means adding a decimal point. So my updates will be...
A massive burst of ten chapters! Are you shocked? Wahahaha, this physically (and mentally) challenged yet determined Lao Ya is giving you this many updates to repay everyone.
Are your monthly passes ready? Are your subscriptions ready?
If monthly passes make it into the top three on the new book list, I'll add more updates!
If the initial subscriptions and favorites exceed the optimal ratio, I'll continue with ten updates tomorrow!
If donations accumulate to one Alliance Leader (regardless of how many people contribute), I'll add more updates!
In short, if subscriptions are high and monthly passes are high, everyone can once again witness the magnificent style of the "Emperor of One Hundred Updates" from back then. The wild Lao Ya will re-emerge, letting my myths and legends spread once again across the online writing world...
The following is the serious version:
If you've read this far and laughed, it shows that the style of this book is a good fit. Whether you've read it before or not, please leave a legitimate subscription at midnight (no vouchers, please). This is because initial subscriptions upon release are crucially important for a book; they can determine its success or failure. After more than ten years of writing, this is the first time I've achieved such good results before a book's official release. I earnestly ask everyone to help *Library of Heaven's Path* take another step forward and reach greater heights!
Besides, can you really resist my pleading, puppy-dog eyes?
"No, you can't." That's right... Hey, hey, don't leave! What's with closing your eyes...? Where's the basic trust between people?
