"Knocked out?"
Not only Hall Master Han, but everyone else present stared in bewilderment, exchanging confused glances.
"Weren't you supposed to be treating injuries? What does 'knocking out' have to do with it?"
"There's no need to be nervous," Sun Qiang explained. "This is our master's unique technique: the 'knockout healing method'!" Having followed Master Yang, Sun Qiang was aware of his unique secret techniques, and since the young master had inherited his mantle, he naturally possessed them as well.
The others, however, were even more baffled.
"Treating illness is one thing, and healing injuries is another, but knockout therapy... does such a method even exist?"
Before anyone could fully process this, the Demonic Fowl Beast, which had been grazing nearby, turned around and approached, fixing its gaze on Hall Master Han. Its stare sent shivers down his spine.
"Master Zhang," Hall Master Han stammered, "Perhaps we can skip the 'knockout' part. How about... we just use medicine instead?" Seeing the beast's appearance and recalling its earlier murderous intent, Hall Master Han couldn't help but tremble. "This creature wouldn't be using this as an excuse for personal revenge, claiming to knock me out but actually trying to kill me, would it? It's better to be cautious..."
"No need for such fuss, Demonic Fowl Beast! What are you dawdling for? Get to it!" Zhang Xuan frowned.
"Roar!"
Hearing the command, the Demonic Fowl Beast let out an excited roar and swooped forward with a 'whoosh!' Its massive wing swung directly towards him.
"Oh, no..." Hall Master Han almost cried. "If I had known this was your method, I would have given you the spirit stones for free! I wouldn't have asked for anything in return..."
Already severely injured, he couldn't evade the blow. The wing struck the back of his head, his vision went black, and he immediately lost consciousness.
"This..." Zhao Feiwu, standing nearby, felt his lip twitch and his body tremble slightly. He secretly congratulated himself, recalling that when he was treated, the person was far away and could only transmit the method via a 'prescription wall.' If he had been right in front of him, wouldn't he have been knocked unconscious too?
Could such a healing method truly exist in the world? He had been sickly since childhood and had consulted countless skilled physicians, yet he had never heard of a treatment that required first knocking the patient unconscious.
Filled with curiosity, he couldn't resist looking closer. He saw Zhang Xuan stride over to the unconscious Hall Master Han and place his fingers on his wrist to check his pulse. A moment later, he stood up, a flick of his wrist producing a set of silver needles.
Swish, swish, swish, swish!
The silver needles danced, landing precisely on several of Hall Master Han's acupuncture points. Immediately afterward, he withdrew the needles with another swift motion.
"All done!" Clapping his hands, Zhang Xuan walked back and glanced at Pavilion Master Sai. "Go wake him up," he instructed.
"Done?" Everyone froze, looking utterly bewildered. "You're treating his severe injuries, not playing a game! Can it truly be finished after just a few needle pricks?"
Zhao Feiwu, Jin Conghai, and the others exchanged even more bewildered glances. They had observed the needle placements – some were on vital gates, others on critical acupuncture points. Most other physicians wouldn't dare touch such areas. Even with exceptional skill, could such severe injuries truly heal instantly after just a few insertions? Could he have used some technique they didn't comprehend?
Pavilion Master Sai had only witnessed Zhang Xuan identify treasures and establish master-servant bonds with them; he had never seen him save lives. He was utterly baffled, but since Zhang Xuan had stated it, he could only nod. He stepped forward, pressed Hall Master Han's philtrum, and channeled a stream of true qi into him.
"Cough, cough!"
Hall Master Han coughed once and opened his eyes. He slapped his palm on the ground, then hurriedly scrambled back a couple of steps. "Master Zhang," he began, "I don't want any more treatment..." He trailed off, suddenly freezing, his eyes wide with astonishment.
As a cultivator, he was intimately familiar with his body's condition. A moment ago, his palm had hit the ground, sending him springing upwards. His true qi flowed freely, without any hindrance. This could only mean one thing: his injuries were completely healed!
"How was this possible?" Full of disbelief, he reached out his palm, and the air before him immediately condensed into a massive hand. The air within the palm shimmered, appearing like a surging river about to burst forth.
"The Great Sun Sea Capture Hand? Hall Master, you... you're well?!"
His movements left not only Pavilion Master Sai bewildered, but also the elders who had previously helped him set up the formation. Their eyes widened, and their breathing became ragged. The Great Sun Sea Capture Hand was a spiritual-level, mid-grade martial art, incredibly powerful. It was impossible to execute without sufficient true qi and strength. As the core of the formation, Hall Master Han had borne the brunt of the battle against the Demonic Fowl Beast. Logically, his injuries should have been far more severe than theirs. While they themselves found it difficult to even stand, feeling on the verge of collapse, he was casually executing a martial art that required a perfectly sound body... Was this really happening?
"My injuries are healed?" Hall Master Han's eyes were wide with disbelief. He suddenly remembered something, and with a flick of his wrist, a long spear appeared in his palm. He gave it a gentle shake. A surge of Weapon Intent shot forth, piercing a massive boulder nearby.
Boom!
The boulder exploded into dust, sending fragments scattering.
"Your qi flows smoothly, your intent is flawless! Hall Master, your... your old hidden injury... is that healed too?" Elder Hu's lips trembled.
The reason the elders of the Beast Tamer Hall had willingly risked injury to help their Hall Master capture the Demonic Fowl Beast wasn't due to a command of status, but because of the Hall Master's upright character. Years ago, to assist them in taming spirit beasts, he had ventured deep into a swamp and was bitten by a venomous insect. Since then, his meridians had become blocked, resulting in a chronic ailment that prevented his Weapon Intent from fully flowing through his body, effectively halting his progress in weapon cultivation. Had it not been for this, with the Hall Master's talent and strength, he wouldn't have needed to tame the Demonic Fowl Beast to surpass Luo Ming. He wouldn't have had to expend so much effort and energy.
The Hall Master had never sought recompense for his efforts on their behalf. For him, they were naturally willing to put in the effort, practicing the combined formation tirelessly without a single complaint. They had assumed that the Hall Master would never advance further in weapon cultivation in this lifetime. They never dreamed that after a brief unconsciousness and a few needle pricks, he would be displaying not only the Great Sun Sea Capture Hand but also his full Weapon Intent... What exactly had happened?
"My hidden injury... is it healed?" If Elder Hu had noticed, Hall Master Han certainly understood. He immediately looked at the young man nearby.
"Oh, I noticed you had some issues, so I just casually treated them. No need for extra payment!" Zhang Xuan said, waving his hand dismissively. Just now, when the other party performed his martial art, a book had already formed in Zhang Xuan's mind. The reason he had feigned checking his pulse and then had him knocked out was to avoid revealing the secret of his Heavenly Dao True Qi. The book that had formed in his mind also detailed the other party's hidden injuries. Since he was healing, it was only natural to cure them completely, not just halfway. To put it simply, like many others he had treated before, Hall Master Han's meridians were blocked by severe poison. With Heavenly Dao True Qi, a single thought could be medicine, another could be poison; resolving such issues was incredibly simple for him.
"By the way..." Hall Master Han's eyes reddened, and he felt as if he could go mad. For his chronic injury, he had sought help from every physician in the Myriad Kingdoms City Physician Guild, but none had found a solution. The issue stemmed from a severe poison that had invaded his body while he was executing his Weapon Intent. Although the poison itself had been neutralized, his meridians remained blocked, preventing full recovery... He hadn't even mentioned the injury, yet Master Zhang had not only treated his current wounds but also casually cured this long-standing ailment... Was he truly this capable?
"Elder Hu," he suddenly thought, "How long... how long was I unconscious?" He couldn't help but ask. To heal all his injuries and even locate and treat his chronic ailment, it must have taken a considerable amount of time, he thought. An hour? Two hours? Or even... a whole day?
"How long? From the moment you were knocked out until now... roughly one minute," Elder Hu calculated.
"One minute?" Hall Master Han swayed, dumbfounded. He had been awake for at least half a minute, meaning that from the moment he lost consciousness to Zhang Xuan diagnosing and completely healing his injuries, it had taken at most... half a minute? How was that even possible?
"If he could heal my injuries, he could certainly heal theirs too..." Suppressing the shock and excitement in his heart, Hall Master Han's eyes lit up. He quickly stepped forward. "Master Zhang," he said, "Elder Hu and the others were all injured because of my situation. I hope you can treat them. I would be immensely grateful..." These elders had suffered their injuries because of him. Now that he was healed, he naturally couldn't stand by and watch them suffer.
"Our young master is a highly skilled physician," Sun Qiang interjected, stepping forward. "He does require a consultation fee for his treatments..."
"I understand," Hall Master Han quickly nodded. With a flick of his wrist, the thousands of glittering spirit stones he had previously used to tempt the Demonic Fowl Beast appeared before them, radiating spiritual energy like a tide. While these spirit stones were precious, they were nothing compared to the lives of his old friends.
"Alright," Zhang Xuan said, sweeping the spirit stones into his storage ring with a flick of his hand. He then looked at Elder Hu. "You heard about my healing method just now, didn't you?"
"I did!" Elder Hu quickly nodded. "I know what to do..." He then turned to the Demonic Fowl Beast. "Come on, hit me, hit me hard! I can take it..."
"..." Everyone present was speechless.
Zhang Xuan stumbled. "Seriously, just losing consciousness is enough! Why are you talking to a spirit beast in such a suggestive way?"
"Cough, cough," Zhang Xuan interjected, struggling to suppress a laugh. "Actually, it doesn't need to do it. You can just faint on your own. As long as you're unconscious, I can treat you!"
"Just losing consciousness is enough?" Elder Hu was stunned. Hall Master Han's vision also went black. "If I had known it was that simple, why did I let it hit me? It almost knocked the breath out of me with that wing..."
"Alright!" Confirming the treatment method, Elder Hu didn't hesitate. With a determined grimace, he extended his palm and smacked himself on the forehead.
Thud!
His vision went black, and he fainted.
Zhang Xuan stepped forward. Moments later, Elder Hu woke up, leaping to his feet, his eyes shining brightly.
"Your turn!" After healing Elder Hu, Zhang Xuan moved on to the next elder. This elder was also quick to catch on. Seeing Zhang Xuan approach, he didn't wait for instructions, simply slapped his own forehead.
And so, Zhao Feiwu and the others witnessed the most bizarre sight: one after another, renowned Profound Mortal 4-dan Beast Tamers from Myriad Kingdoms City would approach Zhang Xuan, immediately slap themselves on the forehead, and fall unconscious. Then, after a few needle pricks, they would spring back to life, brimming with uncontrollable excitement...
"That fast?" Only then did Hall Master Han truly grasp the speed and method of Zhang Xuan's healing. His throat felt dry. He calculated: from the moment an elder fainted until Zhang Xuan withdrew the silver needles, less than twenty breaths had passed... In less than twenty breaths, such severe injuries were healed, allowing them to rise, move freely, and regain their full strength...
While he wasn't an expert in medicine, he was incredibly knowledgeable in beast taming. A single clear command from Zhang Xuan had made the Demonic Fowl Beast willingly submit and eat grass. This level of control meant his beast taming abilities were likely at least... five-star!
A five-star beast tamer, and very likely a five-star physician... Where on earth did this person come from?
