Chapter 2172: Master's Disturbance

In this class, I will discuss how to break through to the Heavenly God realm. For cultivators, if the Spirit God realm is the first threshold on the path of advancement, then the Heavenly God realm is the second, more challenging barrier to overcome. Once successful, one's career will soar. In smaller cities, you can become a city lord! Even in the imperial city, you can attain the position of captain of the guard!

As is well known, there are two ways to advance to this level. First, through pure bloodline! Such individuals can break through even with minimal cultivation. For instance, core bloodline members of the Dragon race in Yunchi Heaven can reach the Heavenly God realm upon adulthood, a feat many human cultivators can only dream of. Furthermore, it's a certainty for the first generation descendants of a Conferred God King to become Heavenly Gods. For the second generation, the probability is ninety percent; for the third, eighty percent... And so on. As reproduction increases, the descendants' bloodlines become thinner, and their chances of becoming Heavenly Gods gradually decrease, similar to ordinary people.

Bloodline is determined at birth and cannot be changed. For ordinary people, the only way to advance is the second method: cultivation. The immense difficulty of becoming a Heavenly God through cultivation goes without saying; you all must understand it. It requires not only a cultivation technique suited to oneself but also opportunities, unwavering determination, and confidence! For High-Grade Spirit Gods, the chance of successfully breaking through is no more than one percent!

Therefore, becoming a Heavenly God is by no means easy... I will now explain some common breakthrough methods and techniques...

Teacher Fan Zhe began his lecture.

After listening for a while, Zhang Xuan couldn't help but nod.

Though the lecture given by this person was somewhat academic, dry, and uninteresting, the points of knowledge imparted were extremely precise and flawless. They offered significant insights and benefits to cultivators, especially those nearing a breakthrough.

After studying for a while, he felt he had gained a lot, and he now understood the Heavenly God realm more thoroughly and in greater detail.

Realizing there was no further point in listening, he was about to leave the classroom to continue searching for books, when the tightly closed door suddenly opened with a creak, and two figures walked in.

The first was a tall middle-aged man, clad in silver armor. Every movement he made exuded a fierce, battle-hardened aura.

It was clear at a glance that he had experienced battlefields and taken lives!

Behind him was a thin young man, pale and with weak breathing, having sustained severe internal injuries. Though his life wasn't in danger, judging by his current state, future breakthroughs wouldn't be easy.

“It's a Silver-Armored General from the legion!”

“His cultivation must be at least that of a Mid-Grade Spirit God!”

“To earn silver armor in the army, merely being a Mid-Grade Spirit God isn't enough; one also needs immense strength and meritorious service…”

“Why would someone like him come here?”

“It’s his son. Both he and his wife were injured in the past, so their son’s talent is poor. He couldn’t get into a regular academy, so he was placed under Teacher Fan Zhe’s tutelage…”

Whispers rose from around the room.

“A Silver-Armored General?”

Zhang Xuan looked over and indeed sensed the astonishing power contained within the man, significantly stronger than that of Ming Laixiang and others.

“Are you Fan Zhe?”

Interrupting the lecture, the Silver-Armored General strode to the center of the hall, his face ashen, his eyes burning with fury.

“That would be me…” Teacher Fan Zhe nodded.

“An incompetent teacher harms people! Today, I’ll teach you a lesson, you scoundrel who misleads promising youths!”

With a loud roar, the Silver-Armored General lunged forward, his fist whistling as it shot towards the old man.

A series of sharp cracks filled the air!

While still in mid-air, the air pressure around his fist exploded, causing air currents to surge wildly throughout the entire room.

“You…”

Teacher Fan Zhe was startled and hurriedly retreated.

Crash!

The lectern shattered into splinters and then dust under the force of the punch. Teacher Fan Zhe raised his arm, about to retaliate, but remembering the regulations of the Master Teacher Hall, he grit his teeth and lowered his hand.

His chest was struck, and his back slammed against the wall, creating a large dent. Teacher Fan Zhe's face flushed, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.

In terms of strength, he was roughly on par with the general; in fact, as a seasoned commander, the general possessed a more intense battle aura. Even a full-force defense might not have been enough to resist, let alone taking a direct hit.

“Stop!”

“Let’s talk this out calmly…”

“What are you doing? This is against regulations…”

Others also reacted, and several parents immediately rushed forward to restrain the Silver-Armored General.

The general roared furiously, “What am I doing? Let me kill this incompetent teacher…”

“Esteemed parent, what is the matter? Even if you intend to kill me, you should at least let me know what happened!”

Struggling to his feet, he took a couple of deep breaths to regain some strength. Teacher Fan Zhe looked over, bewildered.

He was certain he had never seen this person before.

“Is my son, Zhuo Yan, your student?”

Seeing his confusion, the Silver-Armored General became even angrier, pointing at the internally injured young man by the door.

Teacher Fan Zhe nodded.

“I trusted you, which is why I sent my son to study with you, but what did you do? You don’t teach properly during class, then after school, you make the children attend your private tutoring sessions! I understand you want to make money, and there's nothing to say about that. But at least teach them properly! You incompetent teacher, you imparted the wrong cultivation method, causing him to suffer a cultivation deviation! And you still have the nerve to ask what happened?”

The Silver-Armored General was about to explode with rage.

“Cultivation deviation?”

Teacher Fan Zhe was taken aback and looked at the young man by the door. Indeed, he saw that the young man's internal injuries seemed unusual, similar to a cultivation deviation. “What I taught him were all basic cultivation techniques, without the slightest error. How could this happen?”

Enduring the pain, he walked over and placed a finger on the boy’s wrist.

Zhang Xuan did not intervene or speak, but also watched intently.

On the Master Teacher Continent, his previous incarnation had also made errors in teaching that led to cultivation deviations. However, there, teachers held an extremely high status, and even enraged parents wouldn't dare to storm into a school and resort to violence.

Yet here, someone had directly entered the Master Teacher Hall and beaten a teacher…

Their status was indeed not as high as he had imagined.

Perhaps it was because Master Kong had only arrived in the God Realm a few decades ago. Just like on the Master Teacher Continent, it takes tens of thousands of years of tradition to cultivate habits of respect.

However, if what the general said was true—that Fan Zhe didn't teach properly during regular classes, waiting for tutoring sessions to impart knowledge to gain fame and wealth—then his character itself was flawed. He would not be fit to be a teacher!

A teacher must be selfless, taking the responsibility of imparting knowledge and guiding students as their core duty, rather than letting their principles waver for money.

With his finger on the boy’s pulse, Teacher Fan Zhe examined him for a moment, his eyebrows twitching. “It is indeed a cultivation deviation…”

The student’s condition clearly indicated an error in his cultivation technique.

“Good that you admit it… Today, I will kill you to rid the people of a menace!”

Seeing him say this, the Silver-Armored General could no longer contain himself and launched another punch.

“Calm down, calm down!”

The people who had intervened earlier held him back.

This was Ghost Soul Imperial City, ruled by the Qiankun Demonic Monarch, where random killing was forbidden. If violated, let alone a Silver-Armored General who was only a Mid-Grade Heavenly God, even a God King could be instantly annihilated.

“Parent Zhuo Yan, please don’t be angry for now. The knowledge I impart certainly has no errors. As for why he suffered a cultivation deviation, it might be an error in his actual cultivation. Let’s question him thoroughly, find the cause, and resolve his internal issues before proceeding!”

Waving his hand, Teacher Fan Zhe looked at the young man before him. “Explain in detail how you suffered the cultivation deviation…”

“Yesterday, after attending the teacher’s tutoring session, I returned home and cultivated exactly as the teacher instructed, and then… this happened!” the young man said, his body trembling slightly.

“Cultivated as I instructed? Explain your cultivation process in detail!” Teacher Fan Zhe said.

“Exactly as you said: divine power, flowing through the San Jiao meridian of the Hand Shaoyang, traversing along the Chongyang acupoint… finally converging in the Dantian!” The young man recited a cultivation chant.

After listening for a moment, Zhang Xuan frowned again.

What the young man described was the cultivation chant for a Low-Grade Spirit God advancing to a Mid-Grade Spirit God. Zhang Xuan had already formed the Heaven's Path cultivation technique for it and knew it in great detail.

According to the method, although it was vastly different from the Heaven's Path technique, for ordinary cultivators, it contained few errors and was considered a highly refined cultivation method.

Under normal circumstances, as long as one's divine power accumulation was sufficient, breaking through shouldn't be difficult… How could he have suffered a cultivation deviation, and such severe injuries at that?

“There’s no error…”

He had thought the young man might have misremembered the cultivation method and made an error, but to his surprise, it was completely accurate. Teacher Fan Zhe also frowned deeply, at a loss.

For a teacher, causing a student to suffer a cultivation deviation was a serious accusation. Even as a Master Teacher, he couldn't bear such a responsibility.

“No error? Then why is my son in this state? You are clearly an incompetent teacher…”

The Silver-Armored General grew even angrier.

“Don’t rush, let’s see if we can help him with the treatment…”

After circulating divine power within the young man’s body, Teacher Fan Zhe fell into deep thought.

The young man had indeed suffered a cultivation deviation, and judging by his internal injuries, they perfectly matched the cultivation method he had described… In other words, he had taught correctly, and the student had practiced correctly, yet still, a cultivation deviation occurred!

“What on earth happened?”

His scalp tingled, and Teacher Fan Zhe didn't know what to do.

Having been a Master Teacher for no less than fifteen years, and having taught at least seven or eight thousand students, if not ten thousand, this was the first time he had encountered such a situation.

“Quickly, go invite Physician Yu Feng!”

After pondering for a while and finding no answer, Teacher Fan Zhe gave the order.

One of the teachers who had just entered hastily left.

“Physician Yu Feng is quite famous throughout the Imperial City; he's considered a very capable physician. He should be able to resolve this!”

“As long as the cause can be found, resolving it will be easy…”

“First, let’s heal the injuries. As for why he suffered a cultivation deviation, there will be plenty of time to theorize once he's recovered!”

“That’s true, but a teacher’s duty is to instruct and educate. I’ve long heard that Teacher Fan Zhe doesn’t teach properly during class and opens tutoring sessions after school!”

“If it weren’t for our children, we would have beaten him too. We're just afraid of offending him and him making things difficult for our children. Putting them in a back-row seat, for instance? Their entire future would be ruined!”

“I heard that seats in his class are bought; parents pay for the front rows…”

The other parents discussed amongst themselves.
