Chapter 1413: Sun Qiang's Anger (Part 2)

“Who cares who you are!” The young man’s brows furrowed, and he grew increasingly impatient.

You’re just a new student’s butler; it’s already generous of the Saint Son Hall to allow you passage. How dare you act so arrogant here! If this weren't a gathering place for master teachers, anyone speaking like that would have been thrown out. There's no way we'd let them be so insolent.

“Get out immediately! If you waste any more time, I swear I’ll ban you from ever entering the Hall of Trust!” The young man waved his hand and raised an eyebrow.

Butlers for heirs of prominent families are usually at least Saint 6- or 7-dan, capable of both managing affairs and protecting their masters. Yet this fellow isn't even a Saint! What's he trying to prove? Employing such a low-level butler clearly indicates that your so-called young master lacks influence. I’ve already wasted enough time speaking with you, and you still dare to be so arrogant... You truly don't know your place.

“Ban me?” Sun Qiang laughed, enraged. Waving his hand, he ignored the young man and turned to sit in the main seat of the room. “This butler is sitting right here. Go ahead, ban me and show me what you’ve got. If you don’t, I’ll look down on you!”

“You…” The young man was stunned by such audacity, especially seeing him sit directly in the teacher’s seat. His scalp tingled, and though furious, he forced himself to restrain his anger, narrowing his eyes. “Do you even know what you’re doing?”

For someone not even a Saint to be so arrogant, not even showing respect to a Saint 5-dan expert like himself – his audacity was truly astounding!

“Of course I know!” Sun Qiang retorted with a cold laugh, his voice filled with confidence. “On the contrary, do *you* know who you’re talking to? Who gave you the nerve to speak to him like that?”

Frowning, the young man took a deep breath. “Who exactly are you?” To be so audacious, he must have a powerful backing. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the Saint Son Hall, he had developed keen discernment; otherwise, he would have met his end countless times already.

“You are not worthy to know who I am. Go fetch the elder in charge of the Hall of Trust, or better yet, the acting hall master of the Saint Son Hall. They are the only ones qualified to hear from this butler!” Sitting there, Sun Qiang waved his hand with an air of superiority, like a monarch commanding all things.

If only he had known how powerful his master was earlier, he wouldn’t have needed to be so humble. This attitude better suited his own status and, more importantly, his master’s.

“Fetch an elder and the acting hall master?” The young man’s mouth twitched.

The Saint Son Hall had many ranks of teachers and elders. The most common were the Deacon Elders, typically Saint 7-dan experts, like Elder Liao, who managed miscellaneous hall affairs and various professional examinations. Above them were the heads and managers of the guilds, such as Physician Bai Yu, who were generally around Saint 8-dan. The highest-ranking were the managers of the five great halls: Benevolence, Righteousness, Rites, Wisdom, and Trust. They were also the overall elders of the Saint Son Hall, five in total. For instance, the former Elder Zhao of the Hall of Rites – such individuals had to be at least half-step Saint 9-dan. As for the acting hall master, they were even stronger, having already reached Saint 9-dan.

Even he wouldn't dare utter a single unnecessary word when encountering such formidable experts, yet a butler who hadn't even reached Saint-rank demanded their presence... treating them like servants... What was his background?

“Exactly. Originally, I intended to keep a low profile. But since you don’t know what’s good for you, I must summon them today and have them explain who gave you the audacity to speak to me like that!” Sun Qiang grew angrier as he spoke.

What in the world! Who do I think I am? The butler of one of the strongest masters of his time! Forget you, even the acting Hall Master of the Master Teacher Pavilion’s headquarters would be courteous and wouldn’t dare offend me. Yet a mere Saint 5-dan, an ant-like individual, dares to be so arrogant... What incredible gall!

“This…” Seeing the other party’s immense confidence and strong backing, the young man was unsure of his identity. Just as he pondered how to reply, he saw an elder approach, his eyes lit up, and he hurried forward.

“Teacher…” It was indeed his teacher, Ge Xiong, Elder Ge, the head of the Hall of Trust! Since he couldn’t handle the situation, it was better to let his teacher deal with it. Perhaps his teacher would recognize this person and know his background, preventing them from being so passive.

“What’s going on?” Seeing someone seated in his place, Elder Ge frowned.

“You’re Ge Xiong?” Before the young man could answer, Sun Qiang, still in the seat, looked over, his face grim as ice. “What a well-taught disciple you have! Come over here at once and apologize to me!”

“Apologize?” Elder Ge froze for a moment, his brows furrowing even deeper. A fellow who wasn’t even a Saint was sitting comfortably above, demanding that he, a half-step Saint 9-dan super expert, apologize? Had he heard correctly? Where did this guy come from?

“Indeed. Your student openly tried to drive me out and even threatened me with a ban. That’s outright disrespectful. An apology is the lightest punishment I can think of. Otherwise, believe it or not, I’ll have you replaced as an elder immediately!” Sun Qiang’s plump eyes narrowed as he sneered, “There are plenty of people in the Saint Son Hall who would gladly take your place. You are not indispensable!”

“Replace me?” Completely bewildered, Elder Ge couldn’t help but turn to look at the young man nearby, full of confusion. “Who... is this fellow?” he wondered. Who *was* this person? Not even the acting Dean had the authority to simply replace him, so where did this guy come from? Such an imposing demeanor, such audacity?

“Even Teacher doesn’t know him?” The young man was taken aback. He had thought his teacher, being well-traveled and knowledgeable, would surely recognize this person, but he was just as baffled.

“I checked his identity token; he’s a butler for one of this year’s new students!” The young man paused, lowering his voice.

“A new student’s butler…” Elder Ge’s face clouded over. Had new student butlers become this arrogant? Demanding an apology from him and even threatening to replace a principal elder of a hall…

“Even if there are flaws in how I teach my students, the Saint Son Hall is there to correct me, so I hardly need your concern. Instead, what is your identity, to openly demand an apology from a half-step Saint 9-dan expert here?” Elder Ge scoffed, a hint of displeasure in his voice.

As a peak-level master teacher, despite his anger, he was able to suppress his emotions and avoid losing composure. Otherwise, he would have long since slapped the man; how could he allow such a weakling to spout nonsense in front of him?

“My identity?” Raising an eyebrow, Sun Qiang stood up, his hands clasped behind his back, and slowly approached. His eyes revealed deep pride. “Since you wish to know, there’s no harm in telling you. My young master is this year’s new student, Zhang Xuan!”

“Zhang Xuan?” Elder Ge frowned. This name had caused quite a stir in other halls, but he had never heard it before.

“Indeed. Perhaps not many have heard of my young master, but you should know our master!” Sun Qiang snorted, his voice brimming with lofty pride. “From the Master Teacher Pavilion headquarters, Master Yang, Yang Xuan!”
