Zu An felt his spiritual consciousness enter a vast, hazy space, where everything was enveloped in a pale gray mist, making it impossible to see clearly into the distance. He tried to explore deeper with his consciousness, but no matter how far he ventured, the environment remained unchanged, akin to the primordial chaos before Pangu separated heaven and earth in ancient myths. After some time, his mental energy was nearly depleted, preventing him from exploring further.
"This bead is quite peculiar," Mi Li's voice echoed in his ear.
Mi Li was, in a way, one with his soul, so she could naturally perceive everything he did.
"Empress Sister, do you recognize this bead? I recall the red dragon referring to it as the Glazed Treasure Pearl," Zu An asked eagerly.
He was self-aware that as an outsider to this world, his knowledge was extremely limited.
Mi Li, however, was different; with her profound cultivation and former high status, her knowledge was far beyond that of ordinary people.
Mi Li shook her head. "Glazed Treasure Pearl? I haven't heard of it. All I know is that it contains incredibly complex spatial rules. It's likely that for various reasons—perhaps severe damage or most of its functions being sealed—it's so difficult to identify."
"Sealed?" Zu An was momentarily stunned, then overjoyed. "Doesn't that mean this could be a divine artifact?"
Having seen so many movies in his past life, he knew that any magical item sealed in such a way was invariably an existence of immense power.
Mi Li snorted, "I don't know why you're so blindly optimistic. Something being sealed doesn't automatically mean it's a powerful artifact. No one knows for sure until the seal is broken."
Zu An was instantly dumbfounded. "Would someone really go to such great lengths to seal an ordinary artifact?"
Mi Li said nonchalantly, "The world is vast and full of wonders." She secretly added in her mind, *With a donkey-headed fellow like you existing, what else could possibly be surprising?*
"So, how do I unseal this thing?" Zu An asked hastily, eager to discover its functions.
Mi Li shook her head. "I don't know."
"You don't know?" Zu An was deflated, genuinely not expecting such an answer.
Unable to tolerate his disdainful look, Mi Li's face flushed. "I am not omniscient and omnipotent; what's so strange about me not knowing? As far as I'm aware, such seals are typically broken by serendipitous events, with no fixed method."
"So, it's a matter of luck?" Zu An paused.
"'Depends on luck?'" Having spent so much time with him, Mi Li had become familiar with some of his novel expressions. "Yes, it truly is a matter of luck. Some individuals are profoundly blessed and can break seals without even realizing it, while others may search their entire lives and never succeed."
Zu An chuckled, "Then I'll be fine; my luck has always been quite good."
Mi Li was speechless. She had gradually grown accustomed to his inexplicable confidence. She snorted and continued, "You are quite lucky. Although this bead is sealed, it appears capable of spatial storage. Try pointing the bead at the item you wish to store, then silently give the command with your mental energy."
"Spatial storage?" Zu An's face lit up with excitement. This was precisely what he needed most; carrying various items around, especially things like the Tai'e Sword, was incredibly inconvenient. If he possessed a storage artifact, everything would be far simpler.
He first tried aiming at a large rock nearby and discovered that with a mere thought, the boulder was indeed absorbed into the bead. Then, with another thought, the boulder reappeared. As it was Zu An's first time using such a spatial artifact, akin to a storage ring, he couldn't resist curiously storing and retrieving the rock repeatedly.
"Hick," Mi Li muttered, curling her lips, though a faint, unconscious smile played on her features.
Zu An suddenly had a whimsical thought: "With this, wouldn't I be invincible? Next time I see an enemy, I can just store them directly, no need to even fight." Just like the Purple Gold Gourd in "Journey to the West," it could perfectly absorb people.
Mi Li immediately shattered his fantasy. "You wish! Spatial artifacts can generally only store non-living objects, not living beings. This is a fundamental rule, beyond human power to alter. Furthermore, if an item bears another person's spiritual imprint, you won't be able to store it either."
"Otherwise, during a fight, you could simply take away their weapons, clothes, and so on; what would be the point of battling then?"
Hearing her explanation, Zu An's eyes lit up. If he could simply take an opponent's clothes during a fight, wouldn't he be invincible against women...?
Mi Li gave him a strange look, unsure what he was thinking that made him wear such a lewd smile.
"The current problem is that we don't know the size of this storage space," Mi Li murmured. "Although it seemed quite vast just now, it's filled with mist, making it impossible to discern the distant environment. How about this: try to see if you can store the dragon's corpse inside."
"It's so enormous; it probably won't fit," Zu An said, somewhat surprised. After all, the red dragon was dozens of *zhang* long, and when coiled, it resembled a small mountain.
Despite his uncertainty, Zu An tried it on the red dragon's corpse. To his surprise, the massive body before him instantly vanished. Zu An rubbed his eyes, a look of disbelief on his face. He hesitated, then released it once more, and sure enough, the mountain-sized dragon reappeared before him.
"This... this..." Zu An was momentarily speechless, unable to express his feelings.
Mi Li couldn't help but exclaim, "You truly are lucky, young man. Ordinary spatial rings have limited storage space, but yours can even hold a giant dragon, and I sense it can accommodate even more."
Zu An chuckled, "Handsome people never have bad luck!"
Mi Li was speechless. She could no longer tolerate his narcissism.
"Alright, alright. There are no other dangers now. I'm going back to sleep, and this time it's for real, so don't disturb me unless it's important." With that, she fell silent.
Zu An's expression was a bit odd. He wondered why she specifically emphasized that "this time it's for real"—had she been faking it yesterday when she said she was going to sleep? However, he didn't mind her witnessing his heroic exploits; after all, they were quite familiar with each other. Zu An deliberately talked to himself and, finding no Rage points accumulating, confirmed that she was genuinely asleep.
Just as he was about to turn and head back to the cave, he noticed a pool of blood nearby and a golden knife lying beside it. It was then that he remembered Chen Xuan had been crushed right there. Alas, a formidable figure of his generation, crushed into a pulp like that. Why did I feel... so good? That scoundrel Chen Xuan had committed every evil imaginable; he deserved to die long ago!
He suddenly noticed a small porcelain bottle nearby. He picked it up and found it contained half a bottle of liquid. He sniffed it, and a sweet scent wafted out.
"What is this?" Zu An didn't dare to drink it, but subconsciously, he felt it must be something good. He immediately put it into the Glazed Treasure Pearl's storage space, thinking he would ask Ji Xiaoxi to help analyze it next time. She was proficient in pharmacology and should be able to identify its contents.
He then searched the relatively intact portion of Chen Xuan's remaining body and unexpectedly pulled out a stack of thin leather masks.
"Huh?" Having watched so much television, he naturally knew how to use such items. He tried one on and found he could transform into various unfamiliar faces.
"No wonder that fellow Chen Xuan has eluded capture all these years," Zu An mused. "He could change his appearance at any time." Zu An carefully put the masks away. They might prove useful in the future. His only regret was that these masks had fixed appearances, preventing him from disguising himself as any person he desired. He then stored Chen Xuan's golden knife. Finding nothing else of value at the scene, he quickly hurried back to the cave.
"Ah Zu, where did you go?" Zheng Dan had already sat up, looking around in a panic. When she saw him, tears welled up in her eyes.
Zu An rushed over to comfort her. "I just stepped out. Why are you crying?"
"I thought you had abandoned me," Zheng Dan said, smiling shyly. Having just given herself to her lover, it was natural for the young woman to feel a little anxious and insecure.
Zu An's heart suddenly fluttered. Zheng Dan's clothes had been torn earlier, and now that she was sitting up, her boundless charms were revealed to him without reservation.
Zheng Dan covered her chest with one hand and, with the other, brushed a few strands of hair behind her ear, then said shyly, "You've been looking all night, and still... you haven't seen enough?"
Zu An was somewhat surprised. Last night, she had been passionate, but now she was incredibly shy, as if reverting to the gentle young lady he had first met. It almost felt like she had a dual personality. However, her condition shouldn't be severe, as the two personalities weren't sharply divided, and their memories were interconnected, unlike movie plots where one personality is oblivious to the actions of the other. Besides, even if it truly was a dual personality, it wouldn't matter. Double the happiness—isn't that good?
"Never enough," Zu An said, reaching out to cup her chin. He gazed at her exquisite, flawless face, praising her from the heart.
Zheng Dan's face flushed. She whispered, "Not this time, it hurts..." Her large, watery eyes were filled with shyness.
Zu An chuckled and pulled her into his embrace. "Don't worry, I'm not *that* much of a beast." Let alone her, even he himself couldn't endure it after such a night of passion.
Ultimately, Zu An discovered a purple-glowing garment in the cave, primarily woven from ice silkworm threads and embellished with crystals, agates, and other ornaments. It looked like an ethereal gown, and even the well-traveled Zheng Dan adored it once she put it on. It was likely due to the dragon race's inherent fondness for collecting shiny objects. Indeed, deep within the cave, there were piles of gold, silver, and precious elemental stones. This garment, being shiny, was naturally cherished by the red dragon in its hoard.
"We're truly rich! So much treasure," Zu An exclaimed, gazing at the piles of gold and silver in the corner. He estimated there were at least two or three million taels. "Let's split it half and half."
Zheng Dan shook her head. "Treasures are external possessions; they hold no meaning for me. You can take it all."
Zu An was stunned. "Meaningless to you? Then why did you secretly establish the Giant Whale Gang?"

*Author's Note:* We've unconsciously surpassed a million characters. Although I currently owe several chapters, I believe I've been quite diligent these past few months, consistently releasing two chapters daily. Of course, I can't compare to other prolific writers, but compared to my own pace in previous years, my updates have indeed been much faster.
I've also kept track of all the chapters I owe. My recent condition hasn't been ideal, and I've been busy with other matters, so I haven't been able to catch up yet, but I will definitely make them up later. Finally, I can't help but sigh: if I could consistently write chapters like yesterday's, my writing flow would be much better...
