Chapter 2354: Goodbye, the Fate Jade Disc

"The Lord of Slaughter" took out the uniquely shaped key. He appeared calm, but his heart was in turmoil. He wasn't the real Lord of Slaughter; how could he know where the items were hidden?

His plan had gone so smoothly so far, he couldn't afford to mess up at the last minute.

Holding the key, he didn't reply. Instead, ever since entering, his divine sense had been scanning the entire hall.

His enigmatic demeanor successfully intimidated the demons, who dared not interrupt him.

"The Lord of Slaughter" pondered why the original Lord of Slaughter would have hidden the items here all those years ago.

To hide something, one would need a prominent landmark, one that wouldn't disappear with the passage of time.

The temple dedicated to the Demon God was clearly an excellent choice. Such a magnificent sculpture, and a sacred place for demons – as long as the demon race existed, this place would surely be guarded well.

It was evident that the demon race must have been much stronger back then for the Lord of Slaughter to choose this location.

However, with temples, over time, structures or other sculptures might get damaged and require repair. If something was hidden there, it could easily be exposed during such maintenance.

That left only one possibility.

"The Lord of Slaughter" looked up at the colossal statue of the Demon God, his gaze finally settling on the head concealed by its cloak.

He detected a faint spatial array fluctuation there. Had he not just studied "Mysteries of Spatial Transformation," he likely wouldn't have noticed this subtle ripple.

Let alone other array masters in the world.

He secretly marveled that despite his rough and irritable exterior, the original Lord of Slaughter possessed an exceptionally meticulous mind.

The Demon God statue was the one thing in the entire temple least likely to be damaged by time. Furthermore, every time demons visited the temple, they were filled with awe and reverence, prostrating themselves in worship. Who would dare to look closely at the Demon God's face?

What's more, he had added an extra layer of security: instead of hiding the item directly there, he used a sophisticated spatial array.

It seemed the "Mysteries of Spatial Transformation" book belonged to the Lord of Slaughter. He recognized the array used almost immediately upon seeing it.

He spread his hand, and the key slowly floated into the air, emitting a faint glow.

Soon after, rays of light also began emanating from within the Demon God's cloak. Although the light was dim, everyone present was an expert, and they immediately detected the unique spatial element fluctuations.

Upon seeing this, the demon guides mistook it for a divine manifestation and excitedly began prostrating themselves. Some even intended to go down the mountain to inform their tribesmen.

Mogad casually knocked them unconscious. At such a crucial moment, he naturally didn't want any outsiders interfering.

At that moment, a spatial ripple appeared in mid-air, and then a green light slowly flew out from within it.

"Our world's Law Beacon!" Whether it was Mogad, the Grand Elder of the True Demons, or the other demons, everyone's breathing quickened and their expressions became exceptionally agitated upon seeing the item.

To possess this item was to be the true master of the world.

The former Demon Lord lacked this, which left his authority somewhat illegitimate. Later, facing the invasion of the Doomsday Beasts, he couldn't fully mobilize the world's primordial power, leading to a series of defeats and ultimately bringing the entire world to the brink of destruction.

"The Lord of Slaughter" noticed that the green light on the World Law Beacon was flickering, as if it could extinguish at any moment.

It was far less vibrant than the Law Beacon he had obtained from the cultivation world.

Not to mention, that one radiated with five colors, while this one only had a single color and seemed on the verge of fading away.

It seemed the Singularity World was indeed extraordinary. Although the Demon World was far stronger than this world, its Law Beacon was not as mystical.

At this point, Orly, the array master under Salame's command, couldn't help but lament, "It's a pity this Law Beacon is useless now. The entire Demon World has fallen; it's only a matter of time before the Doomsday Beasts completely occupy it. If we had this Law Beacon from the start, we might have been able to resist their invasion."

Hearing this, many demons fell silent, their initial excitement subsiding.

Indeed, it was like a disease: no matter how virulent, if it was still on the surface of the body or in a specific area, it could ultimately be cured.

But once the disease had spread throughout the body, reaching every limb and corner, with its presence everywhere, not even gods could save it.

Now, the Doomsday Beasts had already destroyed ninety-eight percent of the Demon World. At this point, even retrieving the World Law Beacon would be of no use.

Then Salame suddenly said, "I heard that merging World Law Beacons can merge worlds. Why don't we try to merge our world's Law Beacon with this world's? Wouldn't that save our world?"

"The Lord of Slaughter" raised an eyebrow. Before he could say anything, the True Demon Grand Elder and Orly hastily exclaimed.

"Absolutely not!"

The two demons exchanged glances. The Grand Elder quickly stated, "While that would indeed merge worlds, it would also attract the Doomsday Beasts. Our world, strong as it was, couldn't resist them back then, let alone this weak world."

Grand Array Master Orly echoed, "The Grand Elder is right. We've finally found a new world; let's not bring that monster, the Doomsday Beast, here again."

"The Lord of Slaughter"'s heart stirred. It seemed they were unaware of the Singularity World's extraordinary qualities.

However, their reasoning was sound. Why risk so much for the meager remaining origin power of the Demon World?

"So our world is destined to be destroyed?" Salame's face showed reluctance; after all, it was her homeland, and no one would willingly abandon it completely.

"I'm afraid that's the only way," Grand Array Master Orly sighed. All the demons' expressions turned grim.

Pei Mianman and the other women secretly sneered. These accursed demons were trying to scheme against their world, but it was bound to be a futile effort.

"The Lord of Slaughter" calmly put away the green Law Beacon. However, he was deeply disappointed; did the original Lord of Slaughter go through all that trouble just to leave behind this thing?

Still, it made sense. The original Lord of Slaughter couldn't have known about the Doomsday Beasts that would destroy their world. If he had recovered this item, he would likely have been able to defeat the Demon Lord upon his return.

Just as he was feeling disappointed, his heart suddenly stirred. He looked up at the sky; there seemed to be something else within the spatial ripple.

The next second, an entirely emerald-green jade disk fell from the ripple.

With a casual pull, he drew the jade disk into his hand.

"The Jade Disk of Creation!"

"The Lord of Slaughter" trembled when he saw it. The material was identical to the fragments that had caused Yan Xuehen and Xie Daoyun to disappear earlier.

Although it wasn't the complete Jade Disk of Creation as depicted in legends, it was much larger than the two fragments he had encountered before.

He had been searching for this item without any leads, and unexpectedly, what he sought diligently but fruitlessly, appeared effortlessly.

However, his brows soon furrowed. Although he had obtained another part of the Jade Disk of Creation, he still didn't know how to use it.

Having studied "Mysteries of Spatial Transformation," he understood that every segment of space-time had corresponding coordinates. However, he didn't know Xie Daoyun's current space-time coordinates. Even if he forcefully activated the Jade Disk of Creation, it would be impossible to find her.

While he was lost in thought, Salame walked over, her expression agitated. "Father, may I see that item? I feel as if new memories have appeared in my mind, and they seem to be greatly connected to this object."

"The Lord of Slaughter" thought for a moment and handed her the fragment of the Jade Disk of Creation. Although he had now found what the true Lord of Slaughter had hidden, he didn't know the original plan. It would likely be up to Salame to reveal it.

All eyes fell on Salame. She held the fragment of the Jade Disk of Creation, her eyes closed as if feeling something. Her expression changed several times, and she murmured, "I remember now, I remember everything."
