Chapter 2351: The Most Vicious Woman's Heart

The Lord of Slaughter extended a hand, saying, "Bring the token; let me see it."

Hearing this, Salome hesitated, instinctively glancing at the people around them. She felt a subtle unease about revealing such an important item so openly.

The Lord of Slaughter smiled then. "Why, with your father right here, are you still worried someone will try to snatch it?"

Salome considered this and realized it was true; with her father's cultivation, they had nothing to fear from any strong individual in this world. Besides, she had brought so many masters herself. Only if the Lord of Demons arrived with all his personal Demon Envoys would there be any real threat. With this thought, she no longer hesitated. She settled her qi into her dantian and began to circulate her energy. Gradually, her mouth parted, and a beam of light slowly ascended from within her, eventually floating out into the air.

As the light slowly dissipated, everyone could clearly see the object's shape. It was a light green key. Clearly not an ordinary key, it was inscribed with intricate runes and subtly emanated array fluctuations, indicating it was designed to unlock some powerful restriction.

The Lord of Slaughter took the key in his hand and said approvingly, "You've done very well!"

Although she felt a pang of loss watching her treasured item of many years being taken, Salome quickly adjusted her mindset upon remembering it was her father.

The Lord of Slaughter put the key away. "Then let's depart."

Salome beckoned Zu An over. "Donal, what's the current defensive situation at the Demon Priest Temple in this world?"

Zu An's heart stirred. So it was the Demon Priest Temple.

"The Demon Priest Temple is the most sacred place for the Demon Clan throughout history," Zu An replied. "Normally, it's heavily guarded by numerous masters. But for us, as long as we don't draw the attention of the Regent King, the other guardians are nothing to worry about."

Hearing his reply, Salome nodded with satisfaction. "It's highly improbable the Regent King would coincidentally be guarding the Demon Clan right now. By the time he receives word and arrives, we'll have long since obtained the item and made our escape."

In the distance, Yun Yuqing and Solonshi exchanged a look. They never imagined the Priest Temple held such crucial items belonging to these fiends. Why had generations of high-ranking demons failed to discover them for so many years?

Next, Salome glanced at her father's immense form, then hesitated before saying, "Father, your current appearance is too conspicuous. Perhaps you should first transform into a human form; that way, we won't cause a commotion prematurely."

As she spoke, she drew her sleeve over her head. When she lowered it, her dinosaur-like head was gone, replaced by a beautiful face. Though her face was veiled, her exposed eyes and brows hinted at an exceptional beauty.

Mogad gazed at her with an expression full of infatuation. Even Jiang Luofu and the other women couldn't resist taking a few extra glances. This woman was even more beautiful than they had imagined; that boy Zu An had previously mistaken her for an ugly wretch. One by one, they curiously watched Zu An, eager to see his reaction. To everyone's surprise, however, his expression remained perfectly calm, as if he were completely unfazed. Only Pei Mianman, however, was staring intently at the Lord of Slaughter, a hint of nervousness in her heart. If her suspicions were correct, trouble might be brewing.

At that moment, the Lord of Slaughter let out a hearty laugh. "My daughter is absolutely right; this appearance is indeed too ostentatious." As he spoke, his massive body shifted, instantly transforming into a burly middle-aged man. With a face full of a bushy beard, especially his fierce, rugged eyebrows and sharp eyes, he exuded an aura of killing intent.

"Father is truly domineering," Salome said, her joy increasing as she saw her father's former appearance.

Pei Mianman's lips parted slightly, and she instinctively glanced at Zu An again. Could her earlier guess have been wrong?

Mogad stepped forward and bowed. "This place is quite far from the Demon Priest Temple. Your subordinate has made contact with some creatures in this world recently and can provide mounts for everyone. My Lord can also use this opportunity to rest properly."

The Lord of Slaughter grunted in acknowledgment. "Brother Mo, you're always so considerate."

With permission granted, Mogad stood and let out a series of sharp whistles toward the horizon. Soon, several massive dark shapes soared in from the distance. Everyone looked closer and saw they were giant eagles, each around ten zhang long. As they landed, they kicked up a flurry of snow. One by one, they prostrated themselves before Mogad, their feathers visibly trembling slightly, clearly out of fear and submission. The women's expressions turned grim. These giant eagles were known as incredibly powerful fierce beasts in this world, and countless cultivators had perished under their talons. It was astonishing that these demons could command them with a mere whistle.

The Lord of Slaughter and Salome shared one eagle, Zu An and the women shared another, and the True Demon elders shared a third. Mogad and the remaining subordinates took the other eagles, forming a protective circle around them, subtly encompassing Zu An and the True Demon elders. The numerous giant eagles soared skyward, flying directly towards the direction of the Demon Clan.

In the sky, Pei Mianman watched Zu An, who was not far away. She hesitated, wanting to voice her doubts, but feared being noticed by the Lord of Slaughter. Just as she was caught in her dilemma, Salome suddenly tapped her foot and flew directly onto the back of their giant eagle. Her haughty gaze swept over the women as if they were mere ants. Only when her eyes landed on Pei Mianman's chest did she nearly choke. 'Could this woman be a cow spirit in disguise?' she wondered. She casually averted her gaze, approached Zu An, and said with a beaming smile, "Donal, I truly have to thank you this time."

Seeing their shoulders almost touching, Mogad, from a distance, was practically grinding his back teeth.

Mogad's Rage: 444,444,444...

Zu An calmly replied, "It's only right."

"Do I smell good?" Salome asked, extending her arm toward Zu An. "For years, hunted by the Lord of Demons' enforcers, I rarely appeared in human form, much less used cosmetics. But now that my hardships are over, my heart is joyful, so I made an effort to dress up. How do I look?"

Zu An looked slightly surprised. "If I couldn't detect the young lady's subtle fragrance at such close range, wouldn't I be the biggest fool in the world?"

"Your words are so sweet. Now tell me, am I prettier, or are the women around you prettier?" Salome asked, deliberately glancing at Pei Mianman and the others.

The women were already quite displeased by her sudden, intimate approach to Zu An. Hearing her words now, they couldn't help but be amused. Was this woman trying to provoke them directly? However, they were all even more curious about how Zu An would respond.

Zu An smiled. "How could they possibly compare to the Young Lady?"

The women: "..."

Rage: 666,666...

Pei Mianman raised an eyebrow. Her previously doubtful heart suddenly settled. It seemed her suspicions were indeed correct. The true Zu An would never speak like that. Even if he were trying to flatter Salome, he wouldn't disparage them. Given his wit, he would undoubtedly find a way to compliment both without offending anyone. Thinking this, she couldn't help but glance at the Lord of Slaughter on another giant eagle. The figure was now sitting with closed eyes, seemingly recovering a body that had been suppressed for thousands of years.

"Stop looking; others will grow suspicious," a familiar voice whispered in her ear just as the Lord of Slaughter opened his eyes and looked her way.

Pei Mianman's eyes lit up. "It *is* you!"

The Lord of Slaughter's lips curved into a faint smile. "I've always been curious about what the Lord of Demons or Salome was looking for, so I had to pull off this elaborate deception. The reason I didn't tell you was to prevent any tell-tale signs. Only with genuine ignorance could the act be truly convincing. I never imagined you'd figure it out on your own."

Pei Mianman's eyebrow twitched slightly, a hint of triumph in her expression. "Of course! How could I not recognize my own man? By the way, who was that person who managed to impersonate you so perfectly?"

The "Lord of Slaughter" replied, "You've met her before—Miss Jing Teng. I personally helped her with the disguise, so it was naturally convincing."

Pei Mianman's eyes widened in understanding. "I see. It's likely only she could capture your essence so well." Considering both cultivation and mastery of arrays, she was indeed the most suitable choice. All along the way, Salome seemed to have been consulting her about array formations, and she answered flawlessly. After all, she had once suppressed countless powerful individuals within the entire grand tomb, so she naturally possessed extensive knowledge of array formations.

Meanwhile, Salome and "Zu An" conversed cheerfully. Soon, she bid him a smiling farewell and departed. As she returned to the "Lord of Slaughter's" side, while subtly exchanging glances with "Zu An," she secretly transmitted a message: "Father, find an opportunity to kill Donal!"
