"A misunderstanding, this is all a misunderstanding!" the Grand Elder quickly interjected to smooth things over.

Manager Pi said flatly, "A misunderstanding? My subordinates are lying dead all over the ground. What kind of misunderstanding could this be?"

As he spoke, the guards who had been standing behind him moved forward to shield him.

Four triangular-headed demons, whose arms were naturally equipped with large shield-like armor, huddled together, forming an impenetrable barrier around Manager Pi.
