Chapter 2295: Storm Eye

It was the women's first time experiencing something like this. Upon hearing this, they grew even more nervous, each clinging tightly to the person beside her.

Zu An found himself enveloped by the women, surrounded by warmth, fragrance, and soft skin. Each woman's touch was distinct: some as soft as cotton, others evenly plump, and each exuded her own unique, delicate fragrance. Any other man in his position, even if unaffected by the ethereal turbulent currents outside, would have certainly been lost in such a tender embrace.

Zu An, however, had no time to enjoy the sensation. Instead, he concentrated, calmly sensing the chaotic spatial elements surrounding them. Such an interstellar teleportation experience was rare, and he couldn't miss this excellent opportunity to observe it firsthand.

The surrounding spatial elements were incredibly violent and chaotic; accidentally touching them would likely result in instant death. However, everyone was currently enveloped by a special power, likely thanks to the Four Symbols Stone and the teleportation array, which allowed them to safely travel through the void.

He attempted to extend his divine sense to explore the surrounding void, but it vanished instantly, like a clay ox disappearing into the sea. Given his current cultivation level, his divine sense covered an immense range. The fact that it vanished suggested only one thing: this part of the void transcended the very concepts of space and time.

Occasionally, powerful auras swept past them, making the women's faces turn deathly pale. These were beings they simply could not contend with.

Zu An comforted them. "Don't worry," he said. "These are likely the legendary void monsters. We're currently protected by the array's power, so they can't sense us." The *Baopu True Scripture* contains records about such arrays. Therefore, attempting to cross the starry sky solely with one's physical body, without the aid of an array, would not only involve an extremely long journey but also expose one to various terrifying void monsters.

Xie Daoyun seemed a little nervous. "This is my first time repairing such a large-scale teleportation array," she said, "and I'm not sure if anything will go wrong."

Seeing her tightly clutching her skirt, Zu An smiled. "You are a genius in the field of talismans and arrays," he said. "You did a great job. I checked earlier, and this teleportation array is working perfectly." Hearing his words, Xie Daoyun's apprehension completely vanished.

Sensing the women's unease, Zu An understood that a quiet environment could easily lead to overthinking. The teleportation, as expected, would still take some time, as they were traversing the vast starry sky. So he found a topic and asked Pei Mianman, "Manman, we've been so busy lately that I forgot to ask why you were at the Yun family and how you became their Holy Maiden."

The other women also looked at her with curiosity, genuinely surprised by her connection to the Demon Clan's Holy Maiden. Pei Mianman was initially a bit annoyed. It used to be just her and Zu An, their own private world, but now she had to watch him hold other women. She snapped out of her thoughts upon hearing him and replied, "A few days ago, I was in seclusion at Biluo Palace. Suddenly, I received a letter claiming to have news of my mother. Even though I knew something was strange, I decided to investigate."

Zu An knew that her mother's death had been suspicious, and Pei Mianman had been investigating it ever since. During their last visit to the Pei family, he had also learned that her mother's tomb had been desecrated and her remains were missing. He had even activated the Embroidered Uniform Emissaries' intelligence network to help her search, but to no avail. This unsolved mystery had become a deep obsession for her, so it was no wonder she couldn't help but react to any new information.

"Later, following the letter's instructions, I went to the Demon Clan's Yun family," Pei Mianman explained, sighing deeply. "And there, I finally learned about my mother's past identity. She was actually a member of the Demon Clan, the younger sister of the former Yun family head." She added that she wasn't particularly surprised about her demonic lineage. After all, the strange black flames in her inherent bloodline never seemed like a human ability. She had long suspected her true origins, and when the truth finally arrived, she felt calmer than she had anticipated.

Yun Yuqing couldn't help but steal a few more glances at her, realizing that Pei Mianman was indeed her aunt's child. Technically, they were cousins. It was an ironic twist of fate that they had both fallen for the same man. *Hmm,* she thought, *if I get the chance, I must privately ask her what she ate to develop such a figure.*

Xie Daoyun's brow furrowed slightly with a hint of sadness. *Miss Chu has a sister, Miss Pei has sisters, even Xiao Xi has an aunt helping her,* she thought. *I'm the only one alone. I feel like I'm at a disadvantage.* *No, wait,* she corrected herself, *I have a younger brother. But Xie Xiu isn't reliable; he only comes up with terrible ideas regarding this.* A slight blush crept onto Xie Daoyun's cheeks as she recalled her brother's past advice to be more proactive.

"Was it the Yun family head or that True Demon Emissary who wrote you the letter?" Zu An asked in a low voice. He had a feeling the sender knew too much.

"Neither," Pei Mianman replied, shaking her head. "At first, I thought it was them, but after interacting, I realized they knew nothing about it. They were simply overjoyed to discover I also possessed Yun family blood. I agreed to become the Holy Maiden because I wanted to learn about my mother's past life. Luckily, you all arrived when you did, otherwise I might have been in real danger."

"Neither?" Zu An was surprised. "Then who wrote the letter?"

"I don't know," Pei Mianman replied, a slight frown on her face. "I did learn my true origins after coming to the Yun family, but my mother's remains are still missing. I wanted to find the person who wrote the letter to ask them, but it's as if they vanished without a trace... No, more accurately, it's as if they never even existed in this world."

"Did Biluo Palace investigate on their end?" Zu An asked, frowning.

"The Sect Master and my master investigated immediately," Pei Mianman replied. "That letter appeared out of nowhere at my master's door, and they couldn't find any information about it. Since it concerned my mother, my master didn't hide anything from me."

"Grandmaster Huoling is also a top expert," Zu An remarked, surprised. "For someone to deliver a letter to her door without a sound, that person's cultivation must be incredibly high. Furthermore, Biluo Palace has profound foundations and is teeming with experts; it's nearly impossible for outsiders to infiltrate. Could it be an inside job?"

"The Sect Master and my master also suspected that, and they thoroughly investigated everyone in the sect that day," Pei Mianman explained, still finding it unbelievable. "Unfortunately, they found nothing. As I said, if not for the physical letter, it would seem as if the messenger never existed. Although I gained a lot by following the letter's instructions to the Yun family, I found absolutely no information about the sender."

Suo Lunshi couldn't help but interject, "To achieve this, one must be extremely familiar with the Demon Clan and possess incredibly advanced cultivation—perhaps even approaching Brother An's level. Do such individuals truly exist?"

Zu An also frowned deeply. He had only asked casually, never expecting such an astonishing answer. A faint unease stirred within him. He felt as though he had overlooked something crucial and wondered if it would pose a danger to their upcoming journey to the demon world.

As he pondered, his eyes suddenly brightened. Solid ground appeared beneath their feet, and the women exclaimed in surprise—it seemed they had reached their destination. The chaotic streams of light in the void gradually receded, slowly revealing their surroundings.

Everyone was immediately stunned. They appeared to be inside a miniature underground fortress, surrounded by solid rock and earth. Despite being underground, there was no darkness, thanks to small illumination arrays within the fortress. Above their heads, another array displayed a real-time view of the world outside.

Wind—raging wind—was everywhere! Nothing stood elevated on the ground; once majestic mountains had been flattened by hurricanes, to say nothing of trees and other vegetation. Not even a trace of rivers or lakes remained; all the water had been swept into the sky by the hurricanes.

In the distant sky, a massive red eye loomed, covering the entire horizon as far as the eye could see.

"What kind of monster is that? Its eye is so enormous!" Ji Xiaoxi exclaimed, her small face instantly turning deathly pale after one glance. The other women also blanched with fear; the immense oppressive feeling finally made them understand the true meaning of megalophobia.

"That's not a monster," Zu An said slowly, his expression incredibly solemn. "It's a storm that envelops the entire world."
