Chapter 2287: Bluffing

The True Demon Envoy's eyes nearly bulged out, and the expressions of the ladies on the flying boat were equally complex.

Throughout their journey, Zu An's intense eagerness, combined with the recent scene of their reunion, made it clear to all the women that Pei Mianman held a special place in his heart.

"So this is the 'colossal' Pei Mianman that even big sister felt inferior to," Yun Yuqing murmured, glancing down at her own chest. She finally understood why her sister had said that.

The only comforting thing was that the other women beside her also instinctively looked down at their chests, and one by one, expressions of inferiority appeared on their faces.

"So Brother Zu likes this kind... no wonder he always treated me like a little sister," Ji Xiaoxi lamented, glancing at her own 'dumplings'. For a moment, she felt so wronged she wanted to cry.

Jiang Luofu considerately patted her shoulder in comfort. It wasn't just Xiaoxi; even she felt a momentary pang of inferiority. What on earth did that girl eat growing up?

Xie Daoyun also let out a soft sigh. Back then at Brightmoon Academy, though she was among the Ten Beauties, Pei Mianman and Chu Chuyan had always been the most dazzling. Recalling their previous encounter in the secret realm, she now realized that the relationship between Pei Mianman and Brother Zu was likely much deeper than she had thought. She wondered if they had become close back in Brightmoon City. After all, Pei Mianman and Chu Chuyan were still good friends then. She couldn't fathom how the proud Chu Chuyan had initially tolerated their relationship…

Suo Lunshi carefully observed Pei Mianman, thinking, "So this is the Saintess from the Yun family?"

Although they were all Saintesses from various prominent families and should have been equally renowned, after seeing Pei Mianman, Suo Lunshi was suddenly overcome with a sense of utter despair. The women surrounding Brother Zu were all breathtaking beauties, each one exceptionally outstanding. It genuinely extinguished any desire to compete.

"Ah Zu, why are you here!" Pei Mianman's heart swelled with surprise and joy. She had never imagined she would encounter her beloved here.

Feeling her delicate form in his embrace, Zu An's heart was also filled with the joy of their long-awaited reunion. "This is what they call 'fate brings together those a thousand miles apart,'" he murmured.

"Your mouth is as sweet as honey," Pei Mianman said, though her heart was brimming with joy. She instinctively leaned in for a kiss, about to perform her 'Goddess's Kiss'. However, her peripheral vision caught sight of Jiang Luofu and the other women nearby, and she quickly pushed Zu An away in alarm.

"Principal Jiang... Miss Xie, Little Sister Xiaoxi..." Pei Mianman stammered. If it had been other women, it might have been fine, but these were all old acquaintances from Brightmoon City. Recalling the intimate moment she had just shared with Zu An, Pei Mianman instantly felt a profound sense of 'social death'.

Jiang Luofu and the others smiled and nodded in acknowledgment. Although they felt a pang of jealousy, they still maintained their composure.

Just then, the True Demon Envoy's roar came from the other side: "Are you pretending I don't exist?!"

Rage value from Donar: 444,444,444...

A black light suddenly illuminated his body, and then he gradually became ethereal, as if transforming into an empty shell.

The empty shell quickly cracked all over, and the very next second, with a crunch, it was crushed into fragments.

Zu An frowned slightly, looking towards a spot in the distant sky. He knew his opponent had not died.

Sure enough, the True Demon Envoy's form soon re-coalesced there.

"To force me to expend a protective artifact, you can certainly be proud," the True Demon Envoy said, looking at Zu An with eyes full of apprehension.

Zu An was somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected the opponent's protective artifact to escape his grasp. After all, having gained authority over this world, as long as he fought within it, he wielded the power of the home ground and was essentially invincible.

"Which branch of outer-realm demons are you from? State your purpose for coming here, and I can grant you a quicker death," Zu An said, looking at him indifferently.

This fellow dared to covet Manman; naturally, Zu An had no intention of letting him live.

The heads of the Rong and Wu families exchanged glances, grateful they had switched allegiance early. The True Demon Envoy, whom they had previously considered immensely powerful, had barely escaped with his life in their very first exchange.

Moreover, judging by Zu An's words, the opponent's life and death were entirely within his control.

The Yun family head, on the other hand, turned ashen. He had initially believed the powerful True Demon Envoy could handle Zu An, but now it seemed he was nothing more than a silver-plated pewter spearhead—all show and no substance.

"What arrogance!" Rage spewed from the True Demon Envoy's eyes. When had he ever endured such humiliation?

However, remembering the power of the opponent's recent strike, he felt a lingering fear. Suddenly, his expression changed as something occurred to him: "You are that Regent?"

Zu An did not answer. Instead, he stretched out his palm towards the Envoy from a distance. As the Gluttonous Heaven Devouring Art activated, a terrifying suction force pulled towards him.

The True Demon Envoy's face changed drastically. He had never expected his opponent to attack without another word. He instinctively tried to use a movement technique to dodge, but he quickly realized his entire body had been locked by an inexplicable force, rendering him utterly unable to move.

He could only desperately circulate his cultivation to stabilize himself. Simultaneously, various black lights pulsed around his body; these were his protective artifacts, helping him resist the terrifying suction.

"I have thousands of protective artifacts on me. What can you do to me?" the True Demon Envoy sneered.

"Is that so? Only a thousand," Zu An replied with a faint smile, and the suction from his hand grew even more terrifying.

The black lights around the True Demon Envoy flickered, brightening and dimming. Evidently, each time they dimmed, a protective artifact was damaged and rendered ineffective.

At this point, the True Demon Envoy's expression finally changed: "This is the power of the will of Heaven and Earth! You have already grasped the authority of this world!"

Zu An was slightly surprised. "You do have some insight," he remarked.

The Yun family head and the other family heads blinked, bewildered. They didn't understand what "the will of Heaven and Earth" or "the authority of this world" truly meant, but they sensed a profound, incomprehensible power.

The True Demon Envoy, however, was truly panicked. He roared, "Do you really think I'm afraid of you?!"

His entire being suddenly exuded an overwhelming aura, and the terrifying pressure even surpassed that of the former Demon Emperor. The three demonic family heads' expressions changed, wondering if there was yet another unexpected turn of events.

The women on the flying boat also secretly braced themselves, ready to assist at any moment. The opponent's stance clearly indicated he was prepared to fight to the death.

Yet, the very next second, the True Demon Envoy suddenly flared with an intense black light, and his form transformed into a phantom, instantly appearing hundreds of feet away. He had even directly broken free from the terrifying suction.

That previous move had merely been a feint, designed to make the enemy instinctively prepare defenses, preventing him from suffering a desperate counterattack.

Unbeknownst to them, it was actually a ploy to cover his true body's escape. By relying on this technique, the True Demon Envoy had escaped from several incredibly powerful enemies across various realms of the universe. No matter how strong Zu An was, he couldn't possibly surpass those individuals.

Zu An was momentarily stunned, but the very next second, his figure appeared beside the Envoy, his palm resting on the True Demon Envoy's shoulder.

In an instant, countless phantom images of the True Demon Envoy were absorbed into his hand. Immediately afterward, the True Demon Envoy utterly withered, no longer able to resist.

"How is this possible!" The True Demon Envoy's eyes were wide with shock. His unfailingly successful skill had actually failed?

Zu An secretly felt fortunate. If he weren't in this world, where the entire world's will was one with him, he might truly have allowed this fellow to escape.

He was about to question the opponent for information when his skill system suddenly lit up: "Skill 'Bluff' detected. Do you wish to learn it?"
