Chapter 162: Actually, I'm a Master

Shi Kun was extremely wary of the opponent's demonstrated power. Although clearly only a third-rank, their actual combat strength was no less than that of a fifth-rank. In fact, apart from the inability to use elemental abilities, he was indistinguishable from a fifth-rank practitioner. Furthermore, he had just witnessed the opponent's sudden "full health revival," which utterly baffled him. Achieving a breakthrough during combat was a feat accomplished only by the most exceptional geniuses, almost every one of whom went on to make history. Naturally, he felt compelled to nip such a hidden danger in the bud!

Simultaneously, he couldn't help but feel a surge of curiosity about Zu An's eccentric skills. He wanted to use these zombies to force Zu An to reveal all his abilities, allowing him to devise countermeasures for the future. With this thought, he added, "Didn't Brother Zu claim earlier that he could 'make anyone pregnant just by staring'? If you just use that ability on these zombies now, wouldn't that solve our problem?"

Zu An couldn't help but retort, "Are you out of your mind? How would zombies get pregnant?" Besides, even if they *could* get pregnant, that's a single-target skill, and he only had one use left. It would be utterly useless.

Hearing Zu An's retort, Shi Kun's breath hitched. *Damn it,* he thought, *if a man like me can get pregnant, why can't a zombie?* However, the incident was too humiliating to revisit. He simply couldn't bring himself to discuss it in front of the goddess and his subordinates, so he merely fumed in silence.

Rage from Shi Kun: +456!

Zu An, of course, knew Shi Kun wouldn't help him. He was merely using this exchange to clear his head and desperately consider any other method to resolve their current predicament. Unfortunately, no matter how much he racked his brain, he couldn't think of any way to break the stalemate.

These undead creatures were too difficult to handle. *If only I had some light-based magic.*

*Huh, wait, light?*

Zu An suddenly recalled something: hadn't he won a strange flashlight in a previous lottery? At the time, he had no idea what it was for, but it certainly emitted light. Could this light possibly affect these undead creatures? Although the flashlight only had three uses, wasting one on a mere hypothesis might seem unwise. However, with the situation so dire, he couldn't afford to hesitate. If he died, what good would three remaining uses be?

Seizing an opening, he plunged his spear into the ground and summoned the "Magical Flashlight." Fortunately, despite being deep within the tomb, the surrounding stone walls, made of an unknown material, emitted a faint glow. This ambient light was the only reason they had been able to fight the zombie warriors for so long.

From a distance, Shi Kun and Qiao Xueying had been closely observing his situation. They were both shocked when they saw him suddenly abandon his weapon. Shi Kun wondered, *Surely this guy isn't so disheartened by a few of my words that he's giving up resistance, hoping to force me to rescue him?* Qiao Xueying, on the other hand, was concerned for Chu Chuyan's safety. As for Zu An, she knew his roguish nature meant he'd likely survive even if she didn't. When they saw Zu An produce a short, thick stick from seemingly nowhere, resembling a fire poker, both of them immediately paid close attention. After all, this guy constantly pulled out unexpected and strange items. Could this finally be his ultimate hidden trump card?

Zu An was also on tenterhooks. The longsword zombies were lunging forward, brandishing their weapons. He had already put down his own weapon, and if this new item proved useless, he truly might end up as a tragic fated couple with Chu Chuyan today. With trepidation, he flicked on the flashlight. Shi Kun and Qiao Xueying were also fixated on the object in his hand, and the very next second, both felt as if their eyes were about to be blinded!

While there was some light in the tomb, it was merely a faint, dim glow, just enough to discern shapes. However, when the "fire poker" in Zu An's hand suddenly flared, they felt as if they were staring directly into the sun. The longsword zombies fared even worse. Each one let out a bloodcurdling shriek and frantically scrambled backward. The zombies at the very front even began to smoke.

Zu An was overjoyed; he hadn't expected this item to actually work. Noticing the archers in the distance drawing their bows, he aimed the flashlight directly at them. No matter how swift an arrow, it couldn't compare to the speed of light. The archers soon screamed continuously, clutching their eyes and scrambling away, their bows and arrows abandoned somewhere.

Chu Chuyan's eyes widened. The scene unfolding before her truly defied all her understanding. It was one thing for a stick-like object to emit light, but the critical point was how utterly terrified these zombies were of it. While sunlight did have a suppressive effect on zombies, it shouldn't be to such an extreme degree, should it?

Seeing the flashlight's undeniable effectiveness, Zu An was ecstatic. He swung the device around, haphazardly shining it on the zombie soldiers. "Come on then! Weren't you so full of yourselves just now?" Wherever his flashlight beam pointed, the zombies scattered and fled, as if a sheepdog were herding sheep. He held the flashlight, pointing it first one way, then the other, and the zombie warriors retreated like a receding tide, splitting into two streams.

Rage from Axe-Wielding Zombie: +666...Rage from Spear-Wielding Zombie: +666...Rage from Longsword Zombie: +666...Rage from Archer Zombie: +666...

Zu An was instantly amused. While each zombie contributed a small amount of rage, their sheer numbers meant the combined total was quite substantial.

On the other side, Shi Kun's eyes were fixed on the scene. "What *is* that?"

Zu An sighed. "Well, now that it's come to this, I won't pretend anymore. Actually, I'm a super master, and I've awakened light-elemental abilities."

Chu Chuyan: "..."Qiao Xueying: "..."Shi Kun: "..."

*Light-elemental abilities? Is there even such an element in this world? And you, a super master? Who was it just now that I was chasing like a dog?*

"Brother Zu, if you had this item, why didn't you take it out sooner?" Shi Kun wondered if there was an opportunity to snatch the apparent divine artifact from him.

Zu An spread his hands. "I forgot."

Because he spread his hands, the zombies on his right side suffered immensely, each screaming in agony.

Rage from All Zombies: +666...

Shi Kun was momentarily speechless. *You could forget something like this? I was just fighting for my life, even losing some of my subordinates, and you tell me you forgot?*

Rage from Shi Kun: +999!

With a helpless expression, Zu An said, "I can't help it. I have so many skills that it's normal to forget some in the moment."

Shi Kun: "..."

*Listen to him, is that even a sane thing to say? Why do I want to punch him so badly?*

Rage from Shi Kun: +334!

Nevertheless, he had to suppress his surging anger, forcing a smile onto his face. "In that case, Brother Zu, please disperse these zombies. Let's investigate the depths together. I have a feeling there must be some rare treasures inside. We can put our past grievances behind us, and once we're inside, you can choose first. How does that sound?"

"Alright," Zu An agreed without hesitation.

Chu Chuyan was about to interject to stop him, but then she saw him use the flashlight to herd all the zombies straight towards Shi Kun.

Shi Kun's expression changed dramatically. "Brother Zu, what do you mean by this?"

Zu An smiled faintly. "Brother Sunny's divine power is unmatched, and his movement technique is exquisite. Dealing with these creatures should be no trouble for you. I, on the other hand, wouldn't want to disgrace myself." He merely returned Shi Kun's earlier words to him verbatim.

"We're heading out," Zu An said, holding Chu Chuyan, and waved his hand, leaving only a nonchalant departing figure.

Watching the surging tide of various zombie warriors rushing towards him, Shi Kun: "..."

Rage from Shi Kun: +999!
