Chapter 969: Attack on the Pirate Crew

A thunderous roar filled the air as terrifying artillery shells rained down. Unknown to their enemies, the power of these shells had been transformed by Xu Yang's primal energy. Each projectile, as it was fired, was simultaneously supported by the power of a corresponding magic array. How many warships could possibly withstand such an offensive system?

It wasn't long before the forces led by One-Eyed Dragon gradually raised a white flag.

However, Xu Yang merely offered a cold, chilling smile. "Annihilate One-Eyed Dragon's entire fleet! So, you surrender now? What were you thinking when you gave the order to fire? There's no turning back for those who oppose our Glory Squadron. Face your end with peace, brother. Farewell!"

The moment Xu Yang finished speaking, the main warship's artillery unleashed a barrage.

One by one, shells erupted with brilliant flames. A single cannonball, as large as a boulder, plummeted from the sky!

In that instant, the cannonball struck the center of the Endless Sea, crashing down like a massive meteor. It completely obliterated all life aboard One-Eyed Dragon's flagship.

One-Eyed Dragon likely died without ever realizing what kind of formidable opponent he had provoked.

Yet, the name "Glory Squadron" was deeply etched into his mind.

He never forgot it, even in his final moments.

Originally, Old Jack had suggested that if they captured the dozen or so warships alive, they would acquire a significant amount of loot.

However, Xu Yang's orders completely disregarded Old Jack's suggestion. It wasn't until they took Old Jack and his sailors to see some of the sea city's true storage spaces that Old Jack and his crew understood the meaning of real wealth!

In fact, when Xu Yang decided to show Old Jack's group the sea city, he had already made up his mind.

His plan was to fully integrate Old Jack's team into the Glory Squadron's naval forces, making them the first core unit of their maritime power, to be named "Glory One."

"Oh my goodness, I never dared to dream that I would one day be able to join such a powerful team like yours. It's truly incredible. Heaven has given me this opportunity, and I promise I won't disappoint you."

Old Jack, leading his two to three hundred sailors, all knelt respectfully on one knee, swearing allegiance to the seven core leaders of the Glory Squadron.

Although these formalities seemed somewhat antiquated, and Xu Yang's group didn't necessarily advocate for them, according to the Plancius couple, such a ceremony was almost sacred for a pirate force, becoming an act of faith that absolutely could not be omitted.

What Xu Yang and his companions didn't expect was that after completing their oath, every individual, including Old Jack, voluntarily released a trace of their purest soul essence from within their bodies. It was akin to the sacrificial method performed by the mermaid sisters.

While Old Jack and his crew's method of releasing their soul essence differed from the mermaid maidens and did not indicate the same high level of contractual bond as the two mermaids,

Such an act was sufficient proof of their unwavering loyalty to the Glory Squadron.

"In this life, our greatest honor is simply to be able to join the Glory Squadron. Rest assured, Seven Leaders, from now on, we will brave any peril and dedicate all our strength for the name of Glory!

On this voyage, the name of the Glory Squadron will surely echo throughout the Endless Sea!"

Undeniably, after integrating Glory One, Xu Yang and the other six were in high spirits.

That evening, they celebrated heartily with drinks and invited Old Jack and several of his key members to join the banquet.

Everyone mingled freely. Although they were now under the Glory Squadron's command, Old Jack and his original leadership structure remained completely unchanged, a testament to the respect given to the newly formed Glory One.

The effortless destruction of the dozen or so warships signaled that Xu Yang's Black Pearl and Glory One had completely severed ties with the Raider Sea Fleet from the nearby independent island.

When news of One-Eyed Dragon's fleet of a dozen warships being annihilated reached Raider Island, the other leaders were completely panicked.

They never dreamed that the destructive power unleashed by just one enemy warship could be so terrifying.

Without hesitation, they dispatched over thirty core vessels from the entire Raider fleet to begin their encirclement of Xu Yang's Black Pearl.

Of course, this second wave of attacks was executed with extreme caution. Unlike One-Eyed Dragon's reckless arrogance in deploying his entire fleet as a target for the Black Pearl, they appeared in staggered groups and utilized strategic formations.

At the forefront of their battle formation were several smaller warships, apparently intended as expendable scouts.

However, Gugulas had an effective way to deal with these scouts. He immediately approached Xu Yang and the others. "Boss, leave this to me this time. My Eye of the Sky is restless!"

Gugulas's words piqued everyone's curiosity, making them eager to witness the capabilities of his Eye of the Sky.

Soon, as Gugulas performed a series of actions, primal energy emanating from around his body began to exert a unique effect. One after another, translucent energy constructs materialized out of thin air. Under Gugulas's mental control, these glowing energy bodies, aided by the ocean waves, were hurled towards the enemy's small scout ships at the front lines.

"Next, I will demonstrate the simplest ability of the Eye of the Sky: absolute shielding!"

The moment Gugulas finished speaking, these small energy constructs rapidly enveloped the enemy's front-line warships.

The energy halos radiating from each construct completely surrounded them, severing all communication between the forward scout ships and the main fleet behind them.

The enemy pirate sailors were utterly bewildered, quickly realizing they had completely lost their sense of direction.

What Xu Yang hadn't anticipated was how easy it would be to deal with these disoriented scout ships, as Gugulas explained.

Immediately after, a second wave of energy constructs arrived, erupting with immense roars beneath the scout ships.

Each explosion signified the complete shattering of a warship.

"My goodness, this is terrifying! Direct, long-range precision strikes? I never imagined this 'Eye of the Sky' was so astounding. At sea, having accurate, first-hand intelligence is the greatest advantage. To so easily dismantle the enemy's intelligence system is truly a masterstroke!"
