The Empress gave a wry smile. "I see... There's something I don't know if I should tell you."

"Are you talking about... Wushuang?"

The Empress looked surprised. "How did you know?"

"You mean that Wushuang has shouldered the faith of all beings in the Divine Kingdom for years," Xu Yang said, "yet her strength is far from the ultimate human element, which seems illogical?"

The Empress nodded. "Since you understand, then I have nothing to worry about. This is purely my objective observation, not any hostility towards her personally, even though I don't like her."

"I understand," Xu Yang replied. "You're worried she might have other intentions to harm me. I actually noticed this from the very beginning. But through our time together, I know Wushuang genuinely cares for me. Just like you, both of you are people I can never abandon; you are parts of my life and soul."

The Empress was silent for a moment before saying, "Then have you thought about how to take her out of here?"

"Honestly, I'm not sure if I can do it," Xu Yang admitted. "Not to mention the Dao Monarch Xiaoyao we'll face outside the Endless Pagoda, who is even more terrifying. Even if she's just a product of this fantasy world, bringing her into another world is incredibly difficult—it's essentially defying heaven.
