Chapter 301: Tower Light Descends

Perhaps only Xu Yang could find out where Bai Lianxue and Chaotian Zhu had gone. This was because the Sacred Lotus within Bai Lianxue had been refined and activated by Xu Yang's own life essence. He was certain to get a response from the Sacred Lotus whenever he desired, though the time it would take remained uncertain.

Xu Yang calmed his aura and became tranquil once more. As he closed his eyes and concentrated, unfazed, his powerful spiritual energy instantly spread throughout the entire space. This was Xu Yang's first time attempting to search for the Sacred Lotus's aura in such a way, but he knew clearly that as long as both his and Bai Lianxue's life forces remained, this method was bound to succeed. Sure enough, he sensed the Sacred Lotus's aura from an area thousands of miles away.

"Let's go, I've found them!" Xu Yang declared, then was the first to soar into the sky. The Empress and others followed closely behind him, rapidly approaching the southwest of the space.

The group soon arrived near a rockery, but there was no one around, nor any trace of the Sacred Lotus's aura. Long Kun looked at Xu Yang, utterly bewildered. "You didn't get it wrong, did you? There's nothing here at all!"

Xu Yang chuckled softly. "If they could be found this easily, they would have probably already met with disaster!" With that, Xu Yang struck the surface of the massive rock beneath his feet. His force was perfectly controlled; the rock cracked, yet its core remained entirely intact. Soon, everyone saw the outline of the nine-petaled Chaotian Zhu in the center of the giant rock. And nestled within its unfurled petals was Bai Lianxue's body, already deep in slumber.

"What exactly did they go through? Although they don't appear injured, their condition seems very poor."

Chaotian Zhu was the first to react, transforming back into its human form and carrying Bai Lianxue on its back. "Xu Yang, why did you take so long to arrive?" Chaotian Zhu demanded. "If I hadn't been here, Lianxue would have already perished! As her master, is this how you protect her?"

Faced with Chaotian Zhu's reprimand, Xu Yang found himself with no room for rebuttal. "What exactly did you two go through?" Xu Yang asked. "We just killed Tuoba Yun."

Chaotian Zhu's face showed surprise, yet she believed Xu Yang possessed such capability. With her powerful insight, she could already sense that Xu Yang's aura was completely different from before, a unique transformation only gained after a baptism of incredibly pure power.

"It was a team from the Northern Jin Sword Alliance," Chaotian Zhu explained. "Over thirty top swordsmen surrounded us. If I hadn't released an illusion from my true form to blind them, both of us would have been in danger."

"I see," Xu Yang replied. "If that's the case, then all the questions are answered. Those people from Northern Jin should still be around!"

*Rumble!*

Just as Xu Yang finished speaking, over thirty silhouettes of sword cultivators appeared one by one in the sky. These individuals were the last remnants of the Northern Jin Sword Alliance, once under Tuoba Yun. With the exception of Feng Xiu, the Alliance leader, all their other top swordsmen were now fully assembled. These were, without a doubt, the masterminds behind the Qianyung Sect massacre.

"Good, everyone I want to kill is here," Xu Yang thought, watching them coldly. Each time their sword energy was released, he instinctively recalled the Qianyung Sect's tragic past.

"Hmph, Xu Yang," one of them sneered. "With just you lot, you're doomed. Give up resistance!"

This time, before Xu Yang could even speak, the Empress and the others behind him simultaneously soared into the sky. Terrifying auras instantly erupted, completely encircling all thirty-plus top Northern Jin sword cultivators.

"Boss, let us handle this battle," Long Kun said, his eyes filled with determination. "It's time for you to rest." This time, Xu Yang didn't stop them. After all, cultivation held profound significance for everyone, and if he were to deal with all enemies himself, it would undoubtedly hinder the development of his entire team.

Xu Yang had now firmly committed to walking the path of Asura in the future, and therefore, he hoped that all those around him could reach the Tribulation Transcending Grand Completion stage as soon as possible.

*Rumble!*

Terrifying sword energy fluctuations continuously resonated through the sky. Yet this time, every member of Xu Yang's team played an irreplaceable role. This level of synergy was something Xu Yang hadn't anticipated; the team's coordination had now reached a state of utter perfection. In particular, when the Five Little Flowers of Cold Moon combined their powers, they were able to directly contend with a top sword cultivator at the Tribulation Transcending Peak stage.

"Cloud-Gazing Sky-Shattering Slash!" Ling Yao roared. An incredibly terrifying sonic wave erupted as Ling Yao finally unleashed her formidable sword dao foundation. With just one strike, three opposing sword cultivators at the Divine Infant Peak stage were instantly obliterated.

"Wow! So incredibly strong, they're all powerhouses!" Long Kun exclaimed. Ling Qingshu instinctively shivered at his flattering remark. "I'd say you should speak less," she retorted, "no one would mistake you for being mute!"

Long Kun fell silent.

As time passed, the opposing top sword cultivators fell in droves, ultimately posing no significant threat to Xu Yang's team. When only a dozen or so powerful cultivators, all above the Tribulation Transcending Mid-stage, remained on the battlefield, they attempted to collectively activate Northern Jin's most formidable sword formation. However, while still in the charging phase, Xu Yang casually swatted them all away, instantly crippling their astonishing cultivation.

"Hmph hmph," Ling Qingshu remarked, "it seems after this battle, there will be no more Northern Jin power alliance in the Three Thousand Dao States. Their accumulated foundation of tens of thousands of years has almost entirely perished within this Tomb of Cultivators." It was not long after this battle concluded that Bai Lianxue gradually began to awaken.

"Master! I thought I'd never see you again..." Bai Lianxue whispered. Xu Yang chuckled softly and stroked her head. "Silly girl," he said, "with the Sacred Lotus protecting you, how could anything easily happen? You were likely just startled by the oppressive aura emitted by those sword cultivators. It's alright, it's all over now."

Xu Yang glanced towards the horizon; at that very moment, the Heaven-Reaching Tower, shimmering with seven-colored light, seemed to materialize into view.

"Look!" someone exclaimed. "Is that the legendary Endless Tower? The true end of the Tomb of Cultivators?" Seeing the dazzling pagoda, with half its structure shrouded by the clouds at the sky's peak, a sense of solemnity and hidden apprehension settled in everyone's hearts.

"I suddenly have a premonition," Long Kun said, his voice unusually serious. "Within this Endless Tower, there exists an incredibly evil source of power. It's a power that's both beautiful and deeply despairing. Boss, are you sure you really want to go?" Long Kun rarely became so serious. This was because he had once sensed similar terrifying power fluctuations in his dreams. As the inheritor of the Phoenix lineage, his perception of his surroundings often differed greatly from others, allowing him to discern unique perspectives that remained hidden to others.

"What I have decided, I will never change, as long as I have not fallen!" Xu Yang declared.
