Chapter 1844: Specialized Expertise

Xu Yang was not a so-called prophet, yet every word he spoke materialized into reality. This was because he possessed the immense power to turn what was originally not real into the situation he desired, a perfect demonstration of his formidable strength.

Finally, Long Kun and Po Xiao managed to break out of the formidable encirclement.

The clear, boundless sky reappeared above their heads. Looking back, the enormous semi-circular vine seal was still there, but it no longer concerned either of them.

"Haha, I knew the boss would never let us down! The moment he spoke those words, I knew no power could possibly harm us."

Long Kun excitedly pumped his fists, while Po Xiao, by his side, appeared much calmer. All she could do was channel her admiration for Xu Yang into an inner tranquility.

"It's hard to imagine what kind of past experiences Lord Xu Yang must have had. Why does his mind hold so many incredible ideas? Any single one of his cultivation foundations, if taken in isolation, could likely establish a lineage of Martial Gods in the Ancient Martial God Path. There have probably been only a handful of figures like him throughout history on the Ancient Continent."

Long Kun snapped his fingers and chuckled.

"You're absolutely right about that. But don't you dare summarize everything the boss possesses with merely the word 'talent'. The experiences he's undergone in this lifetime are things that even martial arts powerhouses at their peak couldn't hope to achieve in ten lifetimes. That's precisely why he embodies this brilliant and explosive presence today, a culmination of profound accumulation. Every single ability the boss possesses was acquired through immense hardship. I, Long Kun, have never genuinely admired anyone in my life; the boss is the only one. Without him, none of us, his companions, would have achieved what we have today."

Hearing Long Kun suddenly speak so earnestly about Xu Yang's past, Po Xiao felt as though she had completely succumbed to him. She was filled with a burning desire to understand this enigmatic yet exceptionally charismatic man, truly wishing to delve into his mind on more than one occasion. Yet, Po Xiao also knew that she might not yet possess such a right.

The only thing she could do was cherish every single moment spent by Xu Yang's side, creating as many shared memories as possible. Even if the future was destined to separate them, she would have no regrets.

In the very instant Po Xiao's eyes glazed over, Xu Yang appeared before her, still appearing effortlessly composed and unburdened, without a single speck of dirt or blemish on him.

In contrast, the countless tentacles that had been ceaselessly coiling behind them completely collapsed the very moment Xu Yang departed from that area.

Within minutes, they transformed into mere piles of plant debris. Even the previously wild and profound voice had vanished.

"Boss, you didn't completely annihilate that old fellow, did you?"

Long Kun stared dumbfounded at Xu Yang, who had suddenly reappeared beside them, posing this astonished question. Xu Yang smiled and shook his head.

"Not quite. That old geezer was just exceedingly self-important. He originally thought the three of us were his easy prey, yet in the end, we tormented him into such a state. He probably doesn't have the face to re-emerge and continue the confrontation. While he still had some fight left, he quickly retreated, cowering. As for the remnants left behind, consider it the price he paid to survive, like severing an arm."

After Xu Yang finished speaking, with a gentle motion of his palm, the thousands of golden needles quickly reassembled in his hand, resuming their original lotus formation.

Xu Yang gently retracted his hand, and the dark golden light flowed back into his body.

"I really didn't see this coming, Boss. Your Transcendent Divine Artifact actually seems more practical than your other swords. I originally thought you forged this third divine artifact merely for appearance's sake, just to complete a set. Now I realize how truly limited my perspective was."

Xu Yang shook his head indifferently.

"Actually, every divine artifact holds its own unique significance. The extent of its power depends entirely on the combat mindset of its wielder. Remember my words: no matter what kind of opponent you encounter, they will always have their weaknesses. Just like that powerful plant-based life form we just faced. While their forte is containment, this inherently means their offensive power will be greatly diminished. There is no life form in existence that can achieve true invincibility in combat. Even I, I daresay, have areas I'm not proficient in or have yet to explore; I simply haven't encountered them yet."

Hearing Xu Yang speak, Long Kun and Po Xiao couldn't help but exchange glances, both drawing in a sharp breath.

"Hehe, Boss, you really know how to make an impression; your little brother is truly impressed!"

While Long Kun genuinely thought this, he certainly wouldn't dare voice it aloud. He was truly afraid that Boss Xu Yang might suddenly reach out and tug his ear.

In any case, they had narrowly escaped a sudden calamity.

Thanks to Xu Yang's experienced handling of the situation, Long Kun and Po Xiao didn't truly grasp how terrifying the so-called Lost Mountains were. After all, their combat prowess seemed rather unremarkable.

However, they had not anticipated that if the level of terror was truly so minor, then the designation of this place as a "forbidden zone" would be entirely unwarranted.

In the blink of an eye, Xu Yang and his two companions had been navigating stealthily through the jungle for two days. Along the way, the jungle regions of the so-called Lost Mountains appeared no different from ordinary forests.

At most, they would occasionally encounter a few rare species seldom seen elsewhere, as well as some unique beast clan bloodlines left over from ancient times.

Generally speaking, however, nothing they encountered posed any notable threat to Xu Yang and his companions.

Indeed, many beast clans, upon emerging, would merely catch the scent of Xu Yang and his companions' auras and immediately choose to retreat a significant distance, not daring to provoke them.

Yet, two days later, Xu Yang finally became aware of a crucial issue.

"Do either of you feel like we're always on an endless path when we move through this place?"

As the three were moving forward, Xu Yang suddenly uttered this remark, which somewhat bewildered Long Kun and Po Xiao.

"No way, Boss, I think you're overthinking things. While this mountain range is quite large, its danger level isn't high. More importantly, we've been traveling for so long and have never re-entered the same area. Besides, we've consistently moved in a single direction, so there's no question of being lost."
