Chapter 1458: The Secret of the Supreme God

Xu Yang's efforts were not in vain. After reassembling the fragments, he discovered that the connection points between the pieced-together law fragments were remarkably clear.

This suggested that the imprinted law sealed within this space was relatively intact, similar to how the ancient jade had been divided into four. This section appeared to be one-tenth of a complete primordial law. However, Xu Yang was currently unable to provide a definitive answer regarding the specific content of this primordial law.

This primordial law was extraordinarily terrifying and profound. Even with the previous space-time law, Xu Yang had been able to grasp the essence of the entire law from just a few fragments, like seeing a leopard through a tube.

However, Xu Yang was unable to do so this time, which strongly suggested one thing: this one-tenth portion of the primordial law fragment represented a type of law that likely did not exist in the current Great World. In other words, this power was mysterious and quite possibly originated from an outer realm.

The reason was simple: Xu Yang's supreme artifact of the Angel Race, the Samsara Seal, was capable of analyzing all types of laws used within the Great World.

However, even though Xu Yang recompiled this particular law fragment using the power of the Samsara Seal, he couldn't discern its origin or specific attributes. It even fell outside the detection range of the Samsara Seal, which could only indicate one thing: this core law fundamentally did not belong to the Great World's domain.

"If my judgment is correct, then this law must have been introduced into the world's space during the 300,000-year evolution of the Great World. To uncover its secrets, I should now try to trace the timeline within these 300,000 years along the River of Time. I need to discover the exact period when the Great World established contact with an outer realm. Only then can I ascertain the true origin of this damaged law and all its associated mysteries."

Xu Yang vaguely sensed that this power was not only mysterious but also formidable in strength. Even with his current cultivation, he couldn't fathom its true depth.

This could only signify that this law from an outer realm was likely linked to the future destiny of the entire Great World.

Xu Yang would absolutely not permit such a hidden danger to persist within the Great World's system.

"In that case," he mused, "I will have to search the River of Time."

With this thought, Xu Yang clasped his hands tightly. The complete Samsara Seal totem once again materialized behind his true body. Fortunately, upon entering this area, he had already separated the soul aura between his true body and his phantom body, thus avoiding any premature alarms.

Now, Xu Yang's use of his true body went completely undetected by others. This was because he had bound the soul aura of his phantom body to the First Saint's exclusive space, preventing any unnecessary complications.

Soon after, Xu Yang's soul body manifested within the River of Time, enveloped by the radiant light of the Samsara Seal's law. This protected his soul power from being torn to shreds within the endless currents of time.

At this moment, Xu Yang, like an elder observing the river of history, began to scrutinize all the changes that had transpired in the Great World over the past 300,000 years.

The temporal progression was set at ten years per second. Advancing steadily through this timeline with the aid of the Samsara Seal, Xu Yang could witness everything that had occurred in the Great World within a ten-year span, for every second he observed.

As the 300,000-year historical timeline advanced to the 100,000-year mark, Xu Yang was startled to find that all temporal memories for a hundred-year period were completely blank. These memory imprints only reappeared at the point precisely 100 years prior to that gap.

Consequently, Xu Yang finally found the answer he sought.

"So that's it," he realized, "at the 100,000-year mark, all imprints related to the Great World were erased!"

After Xu Yang arrived at this conclusion, the white soul of Sword Immortal Yun Wangji once again materialized, appearing beside him for a close soul exchange.

"It's evident that those years shrouded in darkness mark the break in all the Great World's memory imprints," Yun Wangji stated. "The secret you seek is hidden within that century. If my assessment is correct, all the imprints concerning this century didn't vanish into thin air; rather, they were sealed within this fractured core law by the will of those so-called Supreme Gods."

Upon hearing Yun Wangji's words, Xu Yang's next objective immediately became much clearer.

"According to your meaning, Senior," Xu Yang replied, "what I must do now is open all the seals within the temples across the major divine dao regions. I need to reintegrate this shattered core law, and then excavate the long-buried memories of the Great World. Only then can I uncover all the secrets surrounding the Supreme Gods' unification of the entire continent."

Yun Wangji nodded gently. "Indeed, that seems to be the correct approach. However, this also indirectly highlights a crucial point: the will of the Supreme Gods is not easily dispelled. This means that your powerful strength alone will not be enough to dismantle the influence the Supreme Gods have exerted on this world. Only when you gather the complete power of the laws and unveil the dark history of those hidden years will you be able to pinpoint the greatest vulnerability in the Supreme Gods' will!"

Having affirmed this new strategic objective, Xu Yang gently nodded to Yun Wangji, and the white soul once again vanished, receding back into Xu Yang's inner world.

Concurrently, Xu Yang acted without hesitation, absorbing all the sorted law fragments into his own body. At the same time, he used his phantom body to create illusory law imprints, leaving them behind in the space to avoid arousing suspicion.

After completing these actions, Xu Yang understood that his exploration within the Eye of Heaven Divine Path had reached its conclusion.

It was not yet the opportune moment to directly confront the Supreme God of the Eye of Heaven Divine Path. Xu Yang still hadn't fully discerned the true vulnerability of the Supreme God's consciousness, nor the underlying principles governing the development of the continent's primary civilization.

Therefore, if he were to rashly declare war on the Supreme God, and if the Supreme God's will proved not to be easily resolved, he would prematurely expose his objectives and his ultimate goal of triumphing over them.

Such an action would cause significant trouble for his subsequent plans. Xu Yang fully understood the principle of "striking only when the moment is right, to astound." He needed to hone the sharp edge in his hand to its absolute peak to achieve earth-shattering results. Before pinpointing the fatal weaknesses of these Supreme Gods' wills, Xu Yang would absolutely not act rashly.

Nevertheless, Xu Yang's determination to bring the Ascetic Monk and Mengyue with him had become incredibly firm. He needed to give those two individuals time to solve the respective riddles he had left for them.

After consuming all the laws within the space, Xu Yang's true body once again exited the First Saint's exclusive domain.
