Karl, the Lord God, let out a hoarse cry. Simultaneously, his hands immediately began forming a very complex hand seal. Once this seal was complete, everything around the deep valley area where he stood was completely filled with dense blackness. Under the guidance of Karl’s powerful spiritual energy, an endless supply of dark elements seemed to sprout and grow wildly at that moment. The entire world plunged into absolute darkness and silence, indistinguishable from an abyss.

Clearly, Karl intended to transform the entire valley into an absolute abyss under his power. Within this abyss, all other elemental forces would fall dormant. This meant Karl became the sole guide and master of all power in the area. He planned to fundamentally restrict Xu Yang through this method.

He was targeting the combat abilities of the four, yet he was ultimately too young and failed to realize that Xu Yang and his three companions’ strength had long surpassed the one-sided limitations of laws and elemental attributes, reaching an inconceivable level. After all, their leader, Xu Yang, had already integrated the complete laws of space-time. This level of mastery over laws alone was beyond the ability of a mere Lord God to restrict.

Of course, Lord God Karl had not yet realized that his methods were utterly meaningless. He remained immersed in the realm he had envisioned, continuing to exert his immense power and making thorough preparations. Little did he know, all his efforts were futile, because soon, as the area around him became completely enveloped in darkness, Karl reopened his eyes. Only then did he discover that Xu Yang and his three companions had, at some unknown point, appeared before him. Each of the four was surrounded by a protective halo. Unbeknownst to him, these halos, which completely isolated them from the surrounding dark elements, were perfect proof of their superiority over Lord God Karl on the level of laws.

“How is this possible? How did you do it? You managed to break through the blockade of my Dark Threshold Space! In this place, no element should have any room to operate, yet you four can still move so freely. This is truly astonishing!”

Xu Yang did not directly answer Lord God Karl’s question; a cold curve remained on his lips. “You don’t need to know anything else about us,” he stated. “You just need to understand one thing: in our presence, you have no ability or right to resist. Now, you can do only two things: either summon the other two Lord God-level powerhouses to help you resist the judgment of fate. The other option is self-destruction—to surrender completely, abandon all resistance, along with your actions and all your glory, in exchange for the chance to continue barely surviving in this world. Because by crowning yourself with the title of a god without our permission, you have crossed our bottom line.”

These words, spoken by Xu Yang, carried considerable weight. However, to Lord God Karl, such a tone and manner felt more bewildering.

“What are you talking about?” Karl retorted. “I am one of the three Lord Gods within the purview of the Eye of Heaven Divine Dao, personally appointed to my position by the Supreme Leader of the Eye of Heaven Divine Dao, the Supreme God himself! I possess the complete inheritance of a god’s will, and the manifestation of the ultimate dark attribute power here is the irreplaceable and perfect embodiment of my power as a Dark Lord God. You dare to tell me, in my presence, that I am not qualified to be a god? Is this not the greatest joke under heaven? If Guardian Gods were doubted by you in this way, it might be understandable. After all, Guardian Gods are not, theoretically speaking, true divine beings; they are merely candidates for godhood and the most loyal servants of gods. Before they revere a Lord God, they indeed have no right to claim glory for themselves with such a noble and sacred name as ‘god’. But as a Lord God, I will absolutely not allow you to blaspheme the glory of my divine position in this manner.”

Xiao Hua let out a cold snort. “Not only is your so-called ‘Lord God’ meaningless in our eyes, but even the Supreme God who rules the entire Eye of Heaven Divine Dao is a figure about to be cast down from his pedestal. If you truly want to earn a chance for repentance and redemption, then immediately tell us all the information you have about the Eye of Heaven Divine Dao’s Supreme God, as well as the other two who are your equals. This might earn you a chance to start anew.”

Lord God Karl no longer wished to continue this conversation with Xu Yang and his companions. He had already sensed that in their eyes, the name “Karl” held no significance whatsoever. No matter how Karl flaunted his extraordinary power and status, in the eyes of Xu Yang’s group, he was utterly inconsequential. The reason they hadn’t immediately attacked him but instead engaged in this discussion, offering him a chance to prove himself, was that Xu Yang believed the primary responsibility for the continent’s current state lay with the Supreme Gods and their collective of Lord Gods. These individuals were merely powerful pawns cultivated by the Supreme Gods to assist them, not yet unforgivable. Therefore, there was still room for negotiation, but Lord God Karl, standing before them, seemed to disdain such an opportunity.

In Karl’s view, the only way for the strong to defend their honor and dignity was through strength. “No more talk,” he declared. “Since your minds are made up, and I will not concede an inch on this issue or my stance, there is nothing left for us to reconcile. Show me your strongest power!”

After speaking, Karl made a move that somewhat surprised Xu Yang and the others: he unhesitatingly allowed his body to perfectly merge with the ultimate dark elements pervasive throughout the surrounding void. The advantages and disadvantages of this action were both quite obvious. The advantage was that Karl was effectively merging his Lord God-level power entirely with the extreme dark elements pervading every corner of the entire valley. This meant that no matter which part of the valley Xu Yang and his three companions occupied, they would be subjected to Lord God-level power suppression. It was akin to Lord God Karl’s power being infinitely dispersed, replicated, and evenly distributed throughout the entire valley.

Of course, the disadvantage was also evident: it was an irreversible process. Once Lord God Karl did this, he would no longer be able to re-form his original physical body. Therefore, even if Lord God Karl were to win this battle, it would take him nearly a thousand years to reshape his body, and his position as Lord God would be severely impacted. Naturally, such an outcome was still far better than being directly crushed on the spot by Xu Yang and his companions. However, in Xu Yang’s view, there was nothing wrong with Lord God Karl’s action; unfortunately, even so, he would be unable to reverse the current situation.
