Chapter 1380: Starry Blessing

“Damn it, where did this guy spring from? He’s unbelievably powerful! My intelligence reports didn't mention anyone like him. What's happening?”

The enormous beast before them was completely baffled. In reality, their attack on Ling Yao and the Dragon Riders Battle Group had been a meticulously crafted invasion plan, formulated only after extensive deliberation and detailed reconnaissance.

Although this massive creature was a strong beast, its intelligence far surpassed that of humans. For this battle, it had already analyzed all the data and felt completely confident of victory.

Ultimately, it never expected the sudden appearance of Xu Yang and Xiao Hua's two clones to completely derail all its plans.

What was even more critical was that it truly hadn't anticipated the terrifying power of Xu Yang's clone, which had suddenly appeared before it.

With just a single strike, the brilliant sword light cleaved through the air, exploding like a thunderclap that split heaven and earth.

It transformed vast sections of the battlefield into scorched earth. And after Xu Yang's successful strike, the physical body of the enormous beast before him, having dared to confront Xu Yang's sword light, was instantly shattered into dust.

“Haha, this is wonderful! With the boss's arrival, we no longer need to worry about any unexpected situations in this battle. We can finally breathe a sigh of relief.”

While Xu Yang fought at the front, Xiao Hua stood among the crowd, exchanging information with their companions.

“Tell me, how did these massive beasts appear? If my memory serves me right, this type of creature never appeared on Yingzhou Continent during our previous battles together.”

As Xiao Hua voiced this question, he saw Ling Yao and the others shaking their heads repeatedly with expressions of helpless resignation.

“The intelligence we've been able to gather so far is very limited,” Ling Yao replied. “We only know that there isn't just one massive beast like this; there should be hundreds or even thousands of them, and they all come from the outer world at the End of the Barren Lands.

As for whether they entered from our great world, we can't make a clearer judgment yet. However, it's undeniable that they come from a world outside Yingzhou Continent.

Because the law system of Yingzhou Continent simply cannot nurture such powerful beast lifeforms. Their bodies are even more terrifying than the demon dragons we encountered in the Endless Sea previously.

Even if our Dragon Rider Battle Group brothers, who have bathed in dragon blood, were to attack together, at most we could only fight this big guy to a draw.

It's almost impossible to defeat it with just our original strength. Thankfully, you and the boss arrived in time; otherwise, who knows what the outcome of this battle would have been? No one could have known.”

Gugras made this observation with a solemn expression. After Xiao Hua gathered sufficient intelligence, he immediately transmitted this information into Xu Yang's mind using spiritual power.

Having received this information, Xu Yang formed a targeted plan. He didn't immediately obliterate the physically shattered massive creature before him, but instead sought to uncover more about this sudden calamity by probing its deep memories.

Xu Yang suddenly retracted the sword energy in his hand. His movement speed surged again, transforming him into a streak of light, and he instantly landed in front of the physically shattered behemoth.

With a gentle wave of his palm, he directed his incredibly powerful palm wind directly at the massive creature's mind, intending to forcibly search its soul world.

“Heh, what you're doing to me is useless,” the creature sneered. “Even though I'm very strong, I'm not a leader-level figure in our race. More powerful demonic beasts haven't appeared yet. When they do, you'll understand what a true catastrophe is.”

The enormous demonic beast suddenly displayed a brilliant smile. Xu Yang clearly understood that all information related to its race's secrets within a creature of this level's mind must have already been sealed, which was why it could be so fearless.

Seeing the opponent's wild laughter, Xu Yang shook his head helplessly.

“I truly don't understand,” Xu Yang stated. “Does being crushed by me as a loser bring you such joy?

Although I didn't get the clues I wanted, crushing you like an ant requires no effort from me. If there's a next life, you'd better become a much stronger fellow. Whatever you do, don't ever encounter me again, you pathetic loser.”

Xu Yang's taunt immediately made the dying behemoth's face turn considerably ugly.

It was about to retort a few words to Xu Yang, but under Xu Yang's cold smile, his palm wind followed immediately.

The immensely powerful palm wind instantly erupted, crushing the behemoth into dust right in front of everyone.

As this creature's aura vanished, a brilliant light simultaneously radiated from each of the individuals behind Xu Yang and Xiao Hua, including Ling Yao, Gugras, and the other members of the Dragon Knights Battle Group who had fought alongside them.

The starlight-like radiance bound itself to their soul origins. The advent of this radiance signified that Xu Yang had, through his own power, helped them complete the trial of the Heaven-Reaching Bond, granting all these former comrades-in-arms the qualification to enter the Path to Heaven.

As the dream on the main battlefield rapidly collapsed, the clones corresponding to Xu Yang and Xiao Hua also vanished. When the two reopened their eyes, they found that the figures of their companions, who had been guided onto the Path to Heaven, had appeared around the illusory space where their true bodies resided.

However, their spiritual power was nowhere near the level of Xu Yang and Xiao Hua's. To fully awaken within this Path to Heaven space, they would require a significant period of recovery, similar to the long slumber Xu Yang himself had undergone.

But this was not a major issue, as the illusions within the Path to Heaven posed no danger. The paths, formed by countless stacked stars, made everything here seem incredibly safe.

Moreover, these companions did not need to participate in the subsequent rescue mission. As long as Xu Yang and Xiao Hua's soul strength remained at its peak, these individuals could simply enjoy the benefits and await Xu Yang and Xiao Hua's salvation.

“Fortunately, things are progressing more smoothly than we anticipated,” Xiao Hua remarked. Xu Yang, standing beside him, nodded gently in agreement.

“Indeed, the difficulty itself wasn't great,” Xu Yang added. “However, what I can't figure out is the origin of those massive demonic beasts that appeared in the dream. There seem to be other hidden dangers lurking.

That place, the End of the Barren Lands, must hold more secrets unknown to us.”

Xu Yang seemed to maintain his calm and composure. “We will return to the End of the Barren Lands sooner or later,” he said, “because Yingzhou Continent is not our final destination.”
