Chapter 1321: Central Plains Domain

Xu Yang and his team had set off again, heading towards the newly established three regions. What they didn't know was that at the very same moment, the Beast Emperor clan, secretly controlling the entire Northern Barrens from its hidden, dark corner, was also beginning to stir.

They were no longer in a state of complacent security, as Xu Yang's team had exerted immense pressure on them. More importantly, the aura fluctuations emanating from Bull King's previous confrontation with Xu Yang had already filled them with unprecedented panic.

At that very moment, deep within an unseen, unknown part of the dark realm, the High Priest of the Beast Emperor clan used soul transmission to awaken the slumbering absolute leader of their clan, the Beast Emperor, who controlled the entire Northern Barrens.

"Your Majesty, these individuals can no longer be allowed to operate so recklessly. We must find a way to get them out of our Northern Barrens territory as soon as possible. If they continue their conquests like this, it could truly pose an unimaginable threat to us."

The Beast Emperor, however, seemed far less agitated and troubled than the High Priest, maintaining a confident demeanor. "Why are you panicking? What a formidable being the Cloud Dragon Heavenly Emperor was! Yet, he left our Northern Barrens clan with regret, unable to achieve his goals. While we couldn't defeat him, he couldn't defeat us either. We should be accustomed to such matters by now; your current agitation strikes me as truly laughable."

The Beast Emperor's state of mind was clearly different from that of the others, as his own power had reached an unimaginable level. With his unparalleled abilities, he held no one in high regard.

However, the members of the Beast Emperor clan's Elder Council were far from as calm and composed as the Beast Emperor himself. In their view, Xu Yang's team already possessed sufficient resources and capability to threaten the Beast Emperor clan's dominion. More critically, Xu Yang's team was currently conquering each faction among the Ten King Guardians one by one. The fact that they had overcome the Bull King, known for his formidable offensive power, was the true underlying cause of panic among these old elders.

The reason the Beast Emperor before them remained as steady as a mountain was that he still held three unrevealed trump cards—powers that represented the most formidable, heaven-defying strength of the entire Northern Barrens clan. Before these three trump cards were revealed, no matter how much commotion Xu Yang's team stirred up, the Beast Emperor was certain not to panic.

However, for prudence's sake, the Elder Council decided to first temporarily mobilize several tribes to teach these arrogant individuals a lesson. They could not allow Xu Yang's team to continue conquering one target after another.

"In that case, if all the Ten King Guardians combine their forces, we will indeed face some pressure. Since these so-called Ten King Guardian leaders are not truly submissive to us, it would be better to use this opportunity to see which lineages we can truly trust. As for those tribes that choose to surrender or betray the heritage of our Beast Emperor clan without putting up a fight, they should be appropriately punished when the time is right. This would also benefit us in further consolidating our rule over the entire Northern Barrens."

As expected, once the High Priest finished speaking, the Beast Emperor nodded slightly in agreement. "What you said makes sense. Since we have nothing else pressing, let's issue an order. Mobilize the three major races of the Central Plains to jointly besiege those ignorant humans. I'd like to see what kind of commotion they can still cause."

After the Beast Emperor issued this command, the subsequent practical operations were entirely entrusted to the Elder Council. Sure enough, not long after, the three envoys under the Elder Council immediately departed from this mysterious, dark region, their aura fluctuations completely vanishing.

These three individuals split into three groups, heading towards the three regional races that Xu Yang's map had just revealed. Once these envoys of the Beast Emperor clan were dispatched, their commands were considered to be the Beast Emperor's personal decree. Regardless of the orders they issued, the Ten King Guardians within the regions were obliged to execute them without reservation. Failure to do so would signify defiance of the Beast Emperor clan's rule and would result in a brutal, merciless, and devastating strike from the clan.

Before long, the three envoys of the Beast Emperor clan arrived at their respective tribes. They then conveyed the orders of the Beast Emperor clan's Elder Council to the Ten King Guardians of the three major races, who were the irreplaceable absolute leaders within those respective tribes. These included the Dragon and Phoenix twin races, led by the Dragon King and Phoenix King, known as the most powerful races in the Northern Barrens, as well as the Fox King clan, reputed to be the most elusive and challenging to deal with in the region.

Initially, upon receiving these orders from the three Beast Emperor clan envoys, the three races were utterly bewildered. They knew very well that under normal circumstances, the Beast Emperor clan would never issue such a command. Three races that typically had no dealings with each other were now convening, all gathered in the Central Plains of the Northern Barrens, awaiting the arrival of Xu Yang's team, and then planning to employ every possible method to stop their advance. After all, for these three races, a mere handful of human powerhouses hardly warranted such a grand mobilization. However, since the command had come directly from an envoy of the Beast Emperor clan, they knew they had no alternative.

They could only grit their teeth and lead over a thousand elite warriors from each of their respective races, rapidly converging on the Central Plains battlefield area of the Northern Barrens. In just three days, a combined force of over three thousand top-tier beast clan powerhouses, led by the three races, had fully assembled near the designated battlefield.

It's worth noting that when Xu Yang's team departed from the Mad Bull clan's tribe, led by the Bull King, Old Mad Bull, as a gesture of gratitude, actually lent the divine battle-axe, Earth's Lament, to Xu Yang. Though nominally a loan, it was effectively a gift to Xu Yang. However, in Xu Yang's opinion, this divine artifact, Earth's Lament, was actually more suited for Old Mad Bull. But since Old Mad Bull wouldn't be using it anytime soon, Xu Yang took possession of it.

The awkward truth was that, apart from Xu Yang himself, no one else in the entire team was capable of even lifting the divine battle-axe. Consequently, only Xu Yang could wield it. However, for Xu Yang, who was accustomed to using a sword, employing the Earth's Lament battle-axe did not bring a particularly significant improvement to his personal combat capabilities. Nevertheless, possessing such a divine artifact proved highly beneficial for large-scale clearing on the battlefield. After all, with just a casual swing, the suppressive force unleashed by this divine battle-axe could effortlessly decimate large groups of orc warriors.
