Chapter 1265: The Strongest Renovation

"Only... a few of us?" Talia asked, her voice filled with disbelief. "Are you certain?"

Queen Talia stared at Xu Yang with a bewildered expression, convinced he was joking.

"I understand your immense strength," she continued, "but that's the Scorpion clan's headquarters, a place that has grown and thrived for countless years. A few of us alone couldn't possibly break through! Conservatively, their headquarters houses over eight thousand warriors. Even if I deployed my entire clan, I wouldn't be absolutely certain of conquering them!"

Xu Yang, of course, understood Talia's concerns. Yet, the smile on his face didn't vanish; if anything, it became a touch more serious.

"Engaging them in a pitched battle, formation against formation, would certainly offer no chance of victory," Xu Yang calmly replied. "But don't forget, while our numbers are small, our mobility is vastly superior. I doubt you've ever witnessed a 'guerrilla' or 'mobile' warfare style, have you?"

Talia was already speechless due to Xu Yang's unconventional ideas. Had he not been Xu Yang, the Queen would likely have dismissed him as a lunatic.

"Fine," Talia sighed. "You've already promised to help me achieve this goal, so you can decide the strategy. But if you mess up our plans, watch out, or I'll..."

Talia feigned a menacing expression, twitching her lips at Xu Yang. Yet, to Xu Yang, her actions were undoubtedly an enticing signal.

"Hmph," Xu Yang scoffed lightly, "I, Xu Yang, have never broken a promise. Just wait and see. For this battle, you can simply observe from the sidelines and await the victorious outcome."

And so, Talia found herself successfully swayed by Xu Yang. She knew she was powerless to resist any of this man's demands, whether on the battlefield or in the privacy of her own chambers...

To ensure all contingencies were covered, Xu Yang issued commands for the Four Divine Beast Emissaries and Little Flower to accompany the Snake-Human army to the three major fortresses. Their role was to assist the Snake-Humans in the subsequent encirclement and mopping-up operations, then promptly arrive with the main army at the Scorpion clan's capital city exactly three days later.

As for himself, Xu Yang took Talia directly to the Scorpion clan's capital city, just the two of them. It was an undeniable fact that the geographical conditions of this region were vastly inferior to those surrounding the Snake-Human clan's headquarters.

Not only was the land barren and resources scarce, but even more challenging was the extremely harsh climate. For much of the day, the region was battered by endless yellow sandstorms.

"Haha," Xu Yang chuckled, "compared to this place, your palace is practically a paradise in the far north! What's the use of conquering such a desolate place?"

Talia rolled her eyes at Xu Yang. "You don't understand," she chided. "In our Gobi region, the most crucial resource is sand! If we could establish a dedicated channel to transport the endless yellow sand here to the central territories, it would be more valuable than gold! It's just that we currently lack the means to do so, so we must rely on expanding our influence and territory as our primary development strategy."

Xu Yang couldn't help but look at Queen Talia with newfound respect. "Ha, you actually possess such business acumen. That's quite impressive!" he remarked. "When I eventually open up the entire Northern Wilds, how about you become my representative?"

Talia merely pouted at Xu Yang, unaware that he was not joking in the slightest.

This man was, after all, destined to forge his own legend across the entire Yingzhou Continent.

"These city walls are so high," Talia observed. "How do you plan to get in? Surely not by a direct assault?"

Xu Yang chuckled softly. "There's a way to force entry, and naturally, there's also a discreet approach," he replied. "It just depends on which experience you prefer. Since I promised to help you eradicate the Scorpion clan, this time I'll let you fully experience the exclusive service of a high-end client."

Queen Talia let out a small burst of laughter. "Please don't try to scare me," she said. "Let's keep a low profile. We're here to cause trouble, not for a pleasure trip. What if you just smash the wall down and thousands of scorpions come swarming out? Wouldn't that be incredibly awkward?"

Xu Yang let out a low chuckle, then abruptly took Talia's hand and stepped effortlessly into the air.

In an instant, Xu Yang activated the spatial-temporal treasure box on his person. With astonishing dominance and audacity, he ascended into the sky with Queen Talia directly in front of the city's defending soldiers. They then effortlessly soared over the towering city walls, landing confidently and conspicuously within the Scorpion capital.

Talia was utterly dumbfounded. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't comprehend why the Scorpion warriors guarding the city gates had watched them fly directly overhead without reacting in the slightest.

She, of course, couldn't possibly imagine that Xu Yang had reached a realm where he could manipulate the laws of space and time. Instead, she simply assumed that this terrifying man had somehow briefly "brainwashed" the Scorpion warriors.

Little did she know, those low-level, ant-like Scorpion clan warriors didn't even warrant a second glance from Xu Yang.

"From now on," Xu Yang declared, "I will reshape the Scorpion clan's capital city according to your will and present it to you as a gift."

Hearing Xu Yang's words, Talia looked at him again with an intrigued gaze.

"Reshape? Do you mean change the physical structure of this city?"

Xu Yang smiled and nodded. "More than that," he affirmed. "Its form, structure, aesthetics, and even which individuals are permitted to live here and which may continue to serve the Snake-Human clan as slaves—every single aspect will be determined by your will. You are the new sovereign of this city."

Talia was already feeling somewhat disoriented and captivated by Xu Yang, her gaze unfocused as if in a daze. So lost in thought, she nearly stumbled over a step.

"Damn it!"

Xu Yang chuckled, instantly grasping her thought. Without waiting for Talia to speak, the Law of Earth immediately manifested its power.

In but a flash, Talia felt her feet gently rise, and the very ground beneath her was undergoing astonishing transformations, reshaping itself according to Xu Yang's will!

The step that had nearly tripped her vanished. More than that, every single step throughout the entire capital city had completely disappeared.

Witnessing all these changes before her eyes, Talia was suddenly overwhelmed with an intense feeling of joy. It wasn't merely the satisfaction of transforming a city that had never been hers; more profoundly, it was the profound happiness of being Xu Yang's woman.

It was as if, by obtaining this man, she had obtained the entire world...

"My heavens," she gasped, "I can't believe everything you spoke of actually has the potential to become reality. You are truly incredibly powerful!"

Xu Yang chuckled softly, shaking his head. "Calm down," he said. "The real show has only just begun."

Just like that, Xu Yang continued onward with the woman by his side. Everywhere they passed, the entire city transformed, becoming Queen Talia's personal canvas.
