Chapter 1080: Glory

The penetrating voice immediately drew every member of the Glory Squad to the deck. They all turned their gaze towards the direction from which the sound waves emanated. Before long, everyone saw a figure, dressed in incredibly refined and luxurious attire, slowly emerge in the center of their vision.

Beneath this person's feet was an adorable sea lion. The small sea lion, like a mount, willingly carried his body, swimming swiftly towards them. Only this one person and one beast were visible; no third figure appeared.

“Damn, this guy can't be that arrogant, can he? Does he really intend to take on our entire Glory Squad by himself? Or is he merely an envoy from the Dragon Legion, attempting to reconcile with us?” Gulas and the others looked bewildered, voicing these questions.

Xu Yang, however, exclaimed, “How is that possible? His words couldn't be clearer. Every member of the Glory Squad is now an enemy of the Dragon Legion. They will never allow us to continue developing. In this battle, only one side will survive; the other will be stripped of everything they possess.”

Xu Yang’s words were chilling, carrying an irresistible king's will and domineering aura. With just those few sentences, every member of the Glory Squad instinctively braced themselves for battle. Their gazes towards the approaching figure were filled with a sharp intensity.

“You had better clarify your intentions first, so we can decide how to treat you based on your attitude.” As Xu Yang's words fell, the third-in-command, one of the Dragon Legion's strongest core trio, revealed a slight smile.

“I'm here to give you a surprise, or rather, to resolve the confusion in your minds. We three brothers have once again landed on Dragon Isle. With us here, you can forget about laying hands on anything on Dragon Isle, and even the Black Pearl will be reclaimed by us.”

Before Xu Yang could speak, King Kong, the Behemoth, sneered and unleashed an incredibly powerful aura wave towards the third-in-command below. With a resounding boom, King Kong punched through the air. The fierce fist energy almost solidified into a tangible force, and the shockwave locked firmly onto the third-in-command of the Dragon Legion.

However, this incredibly fierce energy, just a hundred meters from reaching the third-in-command, transformed into a highly unusual force and instantly vanished into thin air. When such a technique appeared, everyone present, including Xu Yang, stared in utter shock.

“Boss, what kind of cultivation technique did that guy just use? I've never seen anything like it!” Xue'er and the others immediately asked, a hint of solemnity in their eyes.

“Everyone knows that as the third-in-command of the Dragon Legion and one of the core trio, he successfully entered the ranks of the top powerhouses in the Western Regions of Dragon Isle countless years ago. The strength this third-in-command possesses is truly baffling; he almost instantly neutralized the terrifying energy wave unleashed by the Behemoth. If my guess is correct, this guy must be proficient in a cultivation technique that can decompose or alter the form of energy. As for the limits of his casting range and target effectiveness, we can't make precise conclusions yet. We need to test the power of his technique first before making any further plans.”

As Xu Yang finished speaking, an incredibly pure sharp gleam rapidly condensed in his palm, locking onto the third-in-command's body. In an instant, it formed and released a terrifying wave of power that heavily struck the area in front of the third-in-command.

However, the outcome was identical to the energy source unleashed by King Kong just moments ago. Even with Xu Yang's personal strike, his power was effortlessly neutralized by the third-in-command.

The entire process was silent, like a drop of water falling into a sponge, silently absorbed and utterly gone. And trying to retrieve that drop of water afterward would be incredibly difficult.

As Xu Yang finished speaking, no longer willing to tolerate this fellow, he directly soared into the air. In an instant, the immensely powerful energy source condensed in his palm once again transformed into the shape of a sword light.

This time, however, it was different from the previous sword light. The very core of this sword light contained the physical form of the Jade Bone Divine Sword itself. I don't believe you can decompose even my divine weapon.

The opponent, unperturbed, burst into laughter. “Decompose a divine weapon? I don't possess that ability. However, rendering your divine weapon ineffective, that is a simple matter for me.”
