Alright, it's finally time for the big launch!

I'm a complete rookie, a truly greenhorn newcomer to this.

This book secured a contract at 60,000 characters and received its first trial recommendation at 100,000 characters, placing it in a popular fantasy category. As anyone familiar with the process knows, it's incredibly difficult to stand out in this category. From all the books I've observed, both before and after mine, only a handful have truly managed to distinguish themselves.

Yet, this book actually did!

Here, I must express my immense gratitude to my editor, Shengxia. Though they were quiet, they consistently supported me from behind the scenes, providing an unbroken stream of recommendations. From the trial recommendation to the official launch, from a popular category placement to a strong recommendation on the homepage... I am incredibly grateful! Heaven knows, among the books launched alongside mine, after their trial recommendations ended, some went live, some were abandoned, and some were even abandoned *after* going live... Watching that unfold was nerve-wracking!

But it also made me even more grateful to all of you! Without your individual collections, your recommendation votes, and your repeated tips, this book would never have made it, let alone achieved top one or two rankings in almost every recommendation slot against its peers!

Regarding this book, its fundamental style will remain unchanged. This is evident from how Xu Xiaoshou messed up the system's pointer the moment he appeared. He's clearly an extraordinary individual, with a quirky imagination, a touch of absurdity, and occasional moments of chuunibyou-like passion.

Of course, some readers might not appreciate this, which is perfectly normal. I have a good mindset about it; being liked by a small portion of readers is already very fulfilling. If I were to wish for anything more, it would be to win over... just a few more people!

My original intention for writing this book was simply to provide some entertainment for everyone during their leisure time. If there's more to it, I hope that as the plot unfolds, it can subtly stir your emotions... whether it makes you laugh out loud, ponder, or simply fall silent. If that happens, it would be truly wonderful! If not, at least you surely had a laugh, and that's well worth it!

As for the supporting characters, my intention from the start was that not everyone would revolve around a single person, regardless of whether that person is Xu Xiaoshou or Xu Dagong (a playful reference to the protagonist's roles). My approach is to first establish their personalities, then introduce them at the opportune moment, whether subtly or with a grand entrance. My goal is for each character to actively drive the plot forward once they appear. There's a fine line between genius and madness. The moment my characters cease to stand out and become ordinary, it's highly likely I would have lost my passion.
